I N T R O L O G

r & r "Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us." The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and nothing is familiar. Shortly after, you are led out and toward the medbay. Inside this room, you are given a physical scan and offered a contract to sign that states you are now part of the crew of the Moira with a specific job. This process consists of a complete work-up of medical history and current health, and afterwards, you are given your MID, a device that is integrated into your hand with only the slightest pinch. From there, you are guided out of the medbay and to your living quarters. Having left Amissis-Re behind, tensions among crew members have continued to escalate into ship-wide consequences, and recognizing the need for some separation among those aboard the Moira, the Captains make the unanimous decision to deviate from their present course to a "nearby" planet that is notable for such popular distractions. While it is not a permanent solution, measures are being taken to monitor the crew's morale much more closely. New arrivals will be treated as they always are; yet, now, more than ever, it is important to stress the balance of working together toward their goal of reaching their destination so that everyone will return home. WELCOME TO COLLECTIVES ASH3 - BF3 - CLF5 The Collective is a paradise resort located far from any other neighboring planets to offer the most leisurely experience possible to its patrons. Artificially created for multiple uses, it is divided into separate locales interconnected with a tubing transport system that is so fast and efficient that it’s like being teleported to the next area. Extensive mapping can be found at various intersecting points to offer some direction, and there are even recognizable adverts from a very familiar stop months before spread out across the Collective. Whether looking to explore or to simply shed the weight of anxiety, there are plenty of opportunities to be found within ASH3, BF3, and CLF5. All crew members are given a card from the Captains that has an unlimited amount of credits on it. Organized through trade, these allow Moirans access to any of the luxuries that the Collective has to offer aside from the purchase of items considered weapons due to the escalation of recent events. Food, clothes, trinkets, or even a full spa experience—the limits, otherwise, are endless. The Captains emphasize that this is time to relax and take a break from the grind that is living and working on a spaceship as unique as the Moira. ☄ B.E.A.C.H! THE BEST ESCAPE ANYONE CAN HAVE! For those seeking a fun time, the Collective offers a variety of activities on ASH3. There are multiple beaches to enjoy as well as beachside kiosks offering drinks, beach toys and surf equipment for those a little more sports-minded. The tide washes in beautiful shells to collect, and there are always life-guards on duty to make sure everyone stays safe while enjoying their time on the beach. ASH3 offers a safe and friendly environment with plenty of fun in the sun for everyone. There is also a boardwalk full of restaurants, bars and plenty of games and entertainment for when you want to step off the sand but don’t want to give up being out in the sun.For those who can’t or won’t bear the sun, ASH3 also offers a thriving night life on both beach and boardwalk. There are midnight boat tours to view the bioluminescent schools of fish native to the island and bonfire dance parties that go long into the mornings. On the boardwalk, all shops are open until midnight as well as many clubs and social spots where crew can mingle with other tourists in the area. So you don’t like the sand. It’s too hot, and it gets everywhere. Then hop onto one of the many transportation systems, slip into some warmer clothes, and take to the slopes. More experienced crew can immediately dive in, but those who need help can take lessons on how to ski or snowboard. There’s hot cocoa, sleds, snowball fights, and the occasional person making a snow angel (or snow person). ASH3 also has areas for rock climbing, sky diving, base jumping, bodyboarding, canoeing, hang gliding, jetskis, mountain biking, hiking, and much more. ☄ WHEN I SHOP, THE WORLD GETS BETTER Not everyone enjoys shopping, but this Collective entices even the most frugal and reluctant into spending their credits here. In fact, the Captains are encouraging this. They give the explicit “order” to buy whatever you want for yourself and your fellow crew members, but more than that, to consider making purchases to better the ship. Is there any area of the Moira that needs spruced up? Maybe some fresh paint in the mess hall,or new furniture in the decks? Maybe some fancy curtains for all those windows on the observation deck, or a few throw pillows? New pots and pans for the kitchen might be something to add to this list as well as equipment for the rec area, or whatever else you think BF3 will have to help increase comfort aboard the Moira. To enhance your shopping experience, the technology here allows you to try on clothes without lifting a hand. The food here is an unlimited spread of gourmet dining to comfort food and every dessert you can think of. When you’re finished with your purchases, have all your packages and larger items delivered back to the ship for you. ☄ TREAT YO SELF The accommodations on the Collective of CLF5 are as unique as they come. [ caboose is not afraid to admit when he is confused. he feels very confused. first, he was on a ship and being shot at by a lot of bad people. now he is on a ship and having very nice people talk to him about taking a nice break on a planet. he sees that there is a lot of words that are given to him to "explain the situation," but he ends up skimming most of them on account that it is a lot of words and he isn't the best of readers.

but he thinks that he understands what is going on.

... the chairman has decided to surrender and now everyone is able to go out and have cake. there is a big sorry apology for everything that has happened and now everyone will be friends with everyone else. caboose decides that makes the most sense as to what is going on.

it's nice that they are able to go out and have cake. but he's a little confused again. he isn't sure where all of his friends are. church. washington. carolina. sargent. griff (with two f's). simmons. donut. doc. sheila. all the people of chorus. and -- he pauses to look outward -- tucker. ]

Um, yes, hello. Yes. I'm looking for my friends. I think that they went out to get little burgers and forgot to tell me where it is. [ well. he can't be sad when he's able to eat all the cake that he wants without having to eat dinner first!

there is a mountain of sweets in front of him. he finally gets all that he has asked for! cake! all the cake! he feels like he understands why griff is always so happy to get sweets. they would be even better if he could eat them with his friends, but -- this will be okay. he's certain that they'll come out of hiding soon to be able to enjoy them with him!

and this is how he may be found. with cake covering his entire helmet and shoulders. he continues to do what looks impossible but isn't -- literally shoving pieces of cake against his helmet and making happy eating sounds. ] Mmm... frosting.

[ it is only a pause when he realizes that he is not alone that he looks up: ]

Please, don't tell Washington or Church. [ a loud whisper follows: ] They say the sugar riles me up.

OH. MY. GOSH. [ please excuse the blue armored soldier as he sprints everywhere with seemingly boundless amounts of energy. ] The world is opening up! [ the assault rifle is held over his head as he continues to run around every single person that he happens to come across. ] Freckles. Says. Hello! He is on top of the world!

[ repeating zipping around everywhere, he can't remember why he was a little worried before. everything is so terrific right now! ] This is the best field trip! Ever! [ and he understands that there are some new captains and he likes his new captains -- they aren't as good as church, but no one can fill those shoes. they're holograms!

his speed picks up that much more until he runs immediately into a wall. cracking it. ]

[ All he's doing is leaving the mess hall after having some lunch. He doesn't really care all that much about going down to the planet, so he's kind of looking forward to how quiet the ship will be this month. That's when he hears it.

That voice. He knows that voice. That speech pattern. It's not one that you forget very easily, and considering he'd heard it only minutes before he found himself waking up in cryo? Yeah. He doesn't even need to look down the hall to know who it is. But he does, anyway.

Sure enough, there's the familiar standard issue blue armour, the out of date helmet, and an assault rifle. Caboose. Not someone he's particularly happy to see. Not after he and the other sim troopers proved yet again that he can't trust anyone with anything and betrayed him by not turning Epsilon in like he told them too. He might not have ended up in prison if they'd done that. Things might have been completely different. But no, of course, they'd screwed him over just like everyone else.

Not even thinking, Wash is spinning on his heel and walking toward the Blue, body language none too happy. ]

Caboose.

[ Not a question. He knows it's him. He knows by now that the Moira or the Ingress or something around here just likes to fuck with him, so why not send one of the idiot sim troopers? Wash's tone is irritated, however. No, beyond irritated--more like irate, but managing to keep his voice level. He's not sure what he's going to do with Caboose yet, but there are already a handful of ideas crossing his mind.

None of them are particularly kind. ]

B.E.A.C.H.

[ASH3 is a mix of two worlds Rey never thought would meet.

At first, she had decided to stay on the ship. The last planet they'd visited had hurt too much, had opened too many wounds--old and fresh alike. Nothing good could come of stepping foot on another one. But her curiosity had gotten the better of her once she'd heard crewmembers excitedly chatting about the sites to see and the beach. Rey had heard of beaches, but she'd never seen one. Stories told by the odd smuggler on Jakku had been the only source from which she could create a mental picture: an odd clashing of harsh sand and beautiful water, two things that didn't seem like the would go together at all. But she hadn't been able to resist, even going so far as to put on the clothes she'd received a month earlier. From what she had seen and heard, it was the proper attire for a beach, and she didn't want to stick out. Lying low had served her well in the past, and she was counting on it to do the same now.

But honesty, it was hard to "lay low" when all you did was sit for hours, staring out at what seemed like a never-ending span of water.

The lake on Takodana had been the biggest body of water Rey had ever seen, until now. The beach on ASH3 put it to shame, even with its salty taste. Wet sand was usually an indication of wasted water or some kind of chemical spill, but here it was just where two opposites met. From her spot on the water's edge, Rey examined the shells that washed up, spied people swimming and floating out on strange boards, and listened to everyone around her generally having a good time. It's... peaceful, more peaceful than anything she's experienced in a long while. She'll sit long into the night, content to listen to the waves and feel the water lap gently against her toes.]

WHEN I SHOP

[Rey had never had money before. Everything on Jakku had been done through trade, and any sort of credits or cash had been basically useless unless you had a lot of it. Unkar Plutt didn't have time for loose change. It was all or nothing with him, go big or go home. So being given a form of money to spend had thrown Rey for a loop, and she isn't really sure where to start. Honestly, she doesn't even know if she wants to spend any at all, but it's at least worth a look around, right?

And said look around has led her to the window of a bakery, filled with all kinds of things that don't even really look like food to her. There are strange red round things on top of puffy pieces of bread, drizzles of what looks like oil on almost everything, and some of the most intricately designed (what looks like) pieces of glass she's ever seen. Rey stares, wide-eyed and a little confused, fingers resting gently on the glass separating her from... these things. She can't help but mumble to herself, trying to decide if the shine on some of them is artificial or actually part of the "dish."]

The girl's name is Rey, and L recognizes her from the ship, although they've never interacted. But he catches her staring into the bakery as he's on his way into it, and after considering the idea for a moment, he approaches her, leaning in -- not menacing, but confidential, as if he's also staring into the shop.

"They do. Don't they look edible?"

[ a - the beach / boardwalk ]

[This isn't where she wanted to be, but when did that ever matter? It seemed like a cruel joke that whenever she started to feel settled somewhere the rug would be ripped out from under her feet and she'd be thrown back into uncertain chaos. She didn't want to be here and yet this was where she was. Already she felt like an idiot for believing she could call Earth her home. She should have known better. It was too good to be true.

Of course of course the ship stops at a planet with an ocean as big and as blue as Earth's was. When she steps out onto the sand, bare feet digging into the grains, she wonders if it's all the same down below where the light can't reach. Is it still the same even then?

She lingers along the boardwalk until the growing crowds of people become too much for her and with her water wings out she takes to the awning of a cafe overlooking the beach and sits there to watch the water.]

[ b - shopping ]

[Eventually she leaves her perch and finds herself inside one of the clothing shops in front of one of the wardrobe outfitters. Being a gem she's never had to consider fashion beyond her uniform, but admittedly she's having a little fun tabbing through some of the outfits. With each new outfit she turns herself in the mirror's reflection to see her gem between her shoulder blades to make sure it's visible.]

[Anyone passing by the koi pond in the mall will find Lapis standing in the middle of it with a good number of the koi swimming around her in orbs of floating water that is no doubt her doing. She seems to be enjoying herself and ignoring any strange looks thrown her way.]

[While there aren't any strange looks, Lapis will find a small, fuzzy goat child staring in wide-eyed awe at the floating koi. He's a little afraid of interrupting, but after a little while he works up the courage to call out to her.]

First day of school all over again(ARRIVAL):
[The first day is rough for Daisy is particularly rough, to say the least. So much was going on back home and now she's here with seemingly no way out. She isn't very comforted by the fact that time seemingly stops back home, because if she ever were to make it back, she could be years older than when she left.

The only 'good' thing was the fact that Daisy had been beaten up so badly just before she was abducted and now everything was healed.

Be prepared to be stopped by her, a lot, as she tries to figure out this ship.]

Not in Kansas anymore(EXPLORING THE RESORT):
The people who have been here a while seem to be making do with what they have, and can't stop talking about the resort they have landed on. Of course Daisy is curious about being on a different planet, which is why she opts to go out and explore. Part of her still believes this is some sort of dream/nightmare that she's expecting to wake up from soon.

Daisy can't help but think of Fitz especially, considering all this technology she's never even seen before. It is pretty damn amazing. She's checking out all areas of this odd resort, trying to wrap her head around all of it. Maybe not the best idea considering she's only been there for about a two, but the idea of being stuck in a space ship also freaked her out just a bit. Or, you know, a lot.

The first thing she does, after finding out she has no spending limit, is get food. Which she hasn't eaten in about a day, and it shows with the amount of things she got to try. Surprisingly it didn't taste weird at all. It actually tasted pretty good.

Desperate for some normal clothes, Daisy goes shopping right after she's done eating. Probably not the best idea with the food baby she has going on, but she manages to find a few things that she actually likes. She spends a lot of time at the beach but once she finds the heat to be obnoxious she does end up going to the slopes and probably has just a little bit too much hot chocolate.

Hearing about the bonfire parties that she missed out on the first day on the resort, Daisy does end up going there because, well, when in Rome? She's a pretty social person, and also may be dropping subtle(they aren't subtle) hints that she wants to know everything about this place and if people are actually happy.]

[ Bumblebee has been in a lot of near death situations and has spent plenty of time on a medical slab than what he'd like to admit. however he's fully aware of what had happened and it takes his processor a few seconds to realize that he is currently whole. Bumblebee is standing there, cane in hand, but without any protruding holes in his chest. yes, Megatron had made a comment about how none of them really do stay dead, but this is a bit of a stretch.

the one thing that he is certain of is the fact that he isn't on Cybertron. he doesn't know exactly why that is or how that's remotely possible. this is when he finds the message telling him about the ship and the questions that follow. Bumblebee reads through it as well as the additional logs. he wishes it is harder to swallow than what it is, but stranger things have happened, haven't they? of course it doesn't answer a question or two that he has, but it is a start.

well, as he starts to walk down that platform, he's convinced that all he really needs to do is find someone to talk to. Bee needs to confirm this as well as ask a few questions of his own...

Wheeljack would have loved to be on a ship like this. ]

[ being on vacation when immediately setting foot in a reality unknown to him doesn't actually settle well on Bumblebee. surely there are more important things that could be done than take a little break. maybe that's just his own nerves on edge talking, but Bee hasn't been idle in a really long time. he doesn't quite know what to do with himself because of it.

regardless, there are plenty of places in his own universe that are kind of like this one. Bee hasn't been to one in a while - most places really don't want Cybertronians bringing their war with them after all - but still elects to walk around the boardwalk through his avatar rather than having to worry about stepping on someone. of course that means he isn't likely to go into the water or anything, but right now? it's all about blending in. ]

Almost makes me miss Earth.

[ almost. when the humans hadn't been trying to kill them or control them, it had been quite a nice place to hide out. shame there's so much left undone there. ]

[ skiing and snowboarding could be fun, sure. but the best thing for this little car? actually being a car and launching himself off and down the slope. of course Bee is making sure that he's nowhere near anyone actually participating in the 'winter time' activity like they should be doing...

but hey if he's going to be forced into relaxation, then he might as well do something enjoyable. kicking up snow and drifting? that's something he never really got to do before so he might be living it up. just a little. ]

[The ocean had limited appeal for Sans. He didn't really float, and his anatomy was holely unequipped for doggy paddle. All there was to do was walk around the ocean floor and see what there was to find. Unsurprisingly, it was mostly old beer bottles and cigarette butts. Not that Sans was opposed to sifting through trash.

There were more than a few interesting rocks and shells interspersed among the garbage, and by the time Sans was finished, the pockets in his trunks were full to bursting. Walking up out of the ocean, water pours out of his various cavities in streams.]

Hey, kid! [He calls up to the boardwalk, a small hermit crab peeking out through one of his eye sockets.] Have you exchanged your credits yet?

Arrival;
[She's been pulled the time vortex enough now that the feeling she has upon arrival isn't disorienting as much as it is a slight bother. She doesn't pay it any attention though, and merely takes the time to adjust her dress and her hair before hurrying along. There's others arriving in the area, same as her, which is perplexing given she had just been lost somewhere in the middle of the TARDIS.

She heads out of the room she woke up in, stopping the first person she comes across by reaching out to grab hold of their arm.]

You're real, aren't you? Really, properly real?


TARDIS hunting;
[Once she gets the new arrival info, she heads off to check out her room, where she can easily run into any roommates or neighbors. After a quick check to make sure it's decent arrangements, she heads off in search of a familiar blue box. She searches all over the Moira, peeking into plenty of dark corners and nooks and crannies that most people probably wouldn't think to linger and feel around. She even tries to get into some restricted areas as well, hands outstretched as she feels around and grumbles under her breath.]

Grumpy old cow. She probably did this on purpose.

Beach day;
[After a couple of days of searching around the ship with no Doctor or TARDIS turning up, Clara does what any rational person would do and heads out to explore the planet they're docked at. She makes a beeline for the beach area, because it's been so long since she's gotten to have a proper beach holiday. And though she doesn't really know anyone here yet and has no one to enjoy the time with, she makes sure to pack her day full of activities.

In the warmest part of the day, she takes to sunbathing out on the beach. She was able to buy a simple black bikini and big sunglasses, and was more than content to lay out by the water's edge and enjoy the sun. The only problem with that was that sand got everywhere, which meant she had to actually go into the water. There were waves in said water, which was relatively enjoyable, up until she got in deep enough and ended up being swept up and thrown right against someone else who also happened to be enjoying the ocean.]

Sorry! So...so sorry! [Another wave hits, this time sending her down beneath the water, and she pops up without her sunglasses, looking very much like a drowned little rat.]

[Nighttime sees her enjoying the beach bonfire, enjoying the locals playing music and anyone else that may be in the area. Getting caught up in the light mood, she moves over to take hold of someone's hand.]

Dance with me.

[It's less a request and more a polite command, but she's charming enough to make it seem like a request anyway.]


Adrenaline Junkie;
[You can't go to a planet with hang gliding without actually going to do it. The only problem is, she wants to do it with a companion, someone to share the experience with. So she looks around and spots someone else that's there all by their lonesome, and darts over toward them with a smile on her face. There's a slight moment of hesitation, but she reaches out to grab hold of their hand and tries to just usher them toward the hang gliding experience.]

Mind lending me a hand with something? It won't take long, promise.

Desserts!;

[For someone as tiny as Clara is, the fact that she's currently partaking in four different desserts at once looks a little ridiculous. But it's not as if she can come to a place with such lovely desserts and not partake in them. Her cheeks are a little stuffed with some cake, her arms loaded down with a few other offerings. She's in the middle of finding somewhere to sit to enjoy them when she spots someone all by their lonesome. Deciding that just won't do, she makes her way over and sits next to them, handing over one of the desserts in her possession.]

Go on, enjoy yourself. There's no point in coming to a place like this if you're not going to enjoy yourself.

Someone needs an intervention;

[Eventually, though, Clara realizes that there's probably a catch to being let loose on a planet like this with essentially endless credits. She's not a paranoid person by any means, but she does always try to be practical, and feels entirely ridiculous by the fact she's been swept up in the fanciful nature of this place. Feeling that maybe the shopping district needs to be looked into, she takes to it, arms crossed over her chest and a defiant pout etched on her face. The urge to shop is strong, since there's so many wonderful dresses here.

So, in the end, she winds up with some bedding and decor for her room, and entirely too many clothes and jewelry. She makes her way back to the ship with her arms loaded down, looking entirely anxious about the fact she's spent so much. She normally has such good self-control! She looks over at the person nearest her as she approaches an intersection, entirely guilty.]

Have you ever had the suspicion that something is going to go incredibly wrong, but you still do the thing you know you shouldn't anyway? Think I'm having one of those moments right about now.

[Stranger danger! Daisy doesn't move her arm out of the woman's grip though, because really, she is thinking the exact same thing.]

[This is different. The last Starscream remembers he was laying on the floor with a fusion cannon blast hole through his midsection listening to Megatron babble about some sort of insanity. As he is no longer leaking energon and other fluids he assumes that -

A) he is dead and this is some sort of weird afterlife

or

B) this is some sort of delusion

The fact that he absolutely refuses to admit to dying like that to Megatron means that the latter is more than likely. He still feels this way after seeing the medic and signing that contract because none of this is real anyway. Right? Right?

The more he wanders around the ship the more he starts to question everything. Which is increasingly irritating.

So Starscream can be found wandering the halls probably sighing dramatically about how terrible his life is.]

Shopping with Starscream
[After getting over himself, he made his way to the planet. Why? Why not. They told him something about shopping for stuff and he rationalized that going out would help him make sense of things. This of course did not help as he just wanders around wondering why he doesn't just kick a bunch of people.

He does look at some of the shops and merchandise, but doesn't actually buy anything. Instead he just grabs whatever thing of interest he can get at and walks off because he's a giant robot and he does what he wants.

Besides waiting in line is for losers.]

[Later he heads towards the water. Landing on the beach he takes a few steps around not caring if he scares anyone or not. After awhile he lifts a foot in annoyance and knocks the sand out of his thrusters.]

[He runs ahead and places himself firmly in Starscream's path, his hands on his hips. His Decepticon badge glints in the sunlight, just in case Starscream, for some reason, thought he was an Autobot.]

A. Oh look. Another crazy ship-
[ He should be praised at the nearest oppourtunity by literally everyone who knows him for not outright shooting someone the moment he arrives. Whirl does spend probably a ridiculous amount of time making people repeat what they're telling him because he has got to be glitched, his luck cannot be that bad to be randomly grabbed out of...space...time....whatever. He's been time traveling recently, he gets that this is a thing that happens but that doesn't mean that he has to like that it is happening to him. Can't this happen to someone else who doesn't have things to do. Like try and convince Swerve to stop watering down his drinks. Or actually get off of Primus forsaken ships and get the chance to shoot things. He's getting antsy. And slag, if he thought he was getting sick of the good ol' LL, he's already sick of doorways in this place.

Whirl can be found grumbling under what would be his breath, trying to figure out what the scrap a Nomo deck is, and more importantly, if the bar here has something that can get him absolutely slagged because this is the worst and he's only been here like ten minutes and everything he's seen so far has been squishy and small and he's a little bit unsettled by the idea that he's possibly going to step on something. They're everywhere and they keep using words that totally make sense by themselves but make so much less sense when tossed in a line, and more than once Whirl does stop himself from literally just shooting the walls until something makes sense.

Ugh. ]

B: Shore leave? What's that?-
[The moment he's actually let down onto the planet he's almost instantly in a much better mood. Mostly because this is supposed to be some kind of pleasure planet or whatever, and that means he will be able to get something that will make him as drunk as he imagines he can be in his wildest dreams.

And that is his idea of a good time.

First, of course because he is not a total and complete idiot, he decides to stretch his wings out, and spends a while flying about and making wide loops around the area, mostly over the water.

Then he decides to go about finding the nearest bar that serves something a Cybertronian can take.

Both of these things are very important.]

C: LETS GO TO THE MALL-

[He didn't exactly arrive with much. Which is probably why he's looking around in the first place. Whirl can't find too much in the way of weapons that actually impress him, so he moves on fairly quickly, though for a while he can be found prodding at a gatling gun someone attempts way too hard to sell him.

In fact he doesn't find too much he actually wants to spend his...what passes for currency here. Everything's mostly built for someone much smaller or with very different sensibilities and so Whirl mostly just prods at various things to make different shop keepers nervous until he comes across a craftworkers stall that includes a vast array of tools.

That...That makes him stop. He stops and starts several times before crouching down to get a better look, unfolding the smaller claws from within his larger ones and turning them over. His are back on the Lost Light, and they were mostly just scrounged up from whatever the Science department wouldn't miss. He's really not sure he's exactly willing to take the step and buy a set again, but he does sit there, turning over a small pair of wood and metal hairspring levers. They're...They're not terrible.]

SHORE

[As luck would have it, Tailgate happens to be standing near a bar that serves Cybertronian high grade. Now, he's not here to actually get drunk, but he figures knowing where such places are will be useful in the future. Besides, he wants to go out and throw himself in the water, that sounds like a lot more fun.

A strangely familiar sound comes from above, and Tailgate looks up to see the alt-mode of someone he never expected to see.

i. Can't wait to tell my warband about this place - arrival

[ Farlan is pretty used to the feeling of leaping across dimensions - the momentary disorientation, the odd cold sensation that settles under her fur, the whole deal. In fact, this feeling is far from a surprise; she's on her way back to greater Tyria, after all, but it doesn't take long for her to notice that something's wrong.

First and foremost, what in the world was that thing that poked her? She should have been completely intangible, but something definitely pushed her while she was in transit. Secondly, what are all these noises? It sounds a lot like the Citadel, particularly its famous tavern, the Serrated Blade - lots of voices and moving bodies, all bouncing off of metal surfaces with those subtle tones only metal can yield. But this sound is weird, too. The reverberations are too muffled, and all these auras and voices are strange. Many of them are human, but some are just weird, not like anything she recognizes.

So she says the first thing that comes to mind. ]

Buh?!

[ Okay, let's try that again. ]

Uh. Hey, you! Where am I right now? Is this, like, Rata Sum or somethin'?

ii. Surfs up - at the beach

[ Okay. She isn't entirely sure how to process all this information, but she'll start with the most obvious thing. She's far away from home, and right now far away from home means at the beach. Sure, fine. She's never spent a whole lot of time on beaches, frankly - sure, there's the lake north of Lion's Arch, but that place is swarming with pirates and skale. Hardly a vacation destination.

In fact, she's never been to any beach that wasn't dangerous in one way or another, so this is...weird, but she might as well make the most of it.

She tosses off her hoodie and breeches, leaving only her underwear, and cautiously inches toward the water. This is how you have fun here, right? ]

iii. Lost cat - shopping

[ She still isn't completely convinced this isn't Rata Sum. Or some weird version of it, at least. It's crowded, everyone's got something to talk about, and every damn aspect of it is nothing but holograms and touch pads. Just delightful for a blind war-cat.

She has no idea what she's doing. Maybe she can snag some kinda trinket to fiddle with while she thinks.

...On the other hand, something smells delightful. Food is something she's much more familiar with. She's not entirely sure what some of these dishes are, but if it's food it can't be too bad, especially if it's being advertised as gourmet.

She orders some meat dish and finds herself a place to sit. Pitiful portions, but what could she expect? She eats it anyway, and hey, it tastes pretty good. ]

Great. Now what?

[Oh cool, some kind of cat alien. Robin doesn't even blink at the sight of Farlan - strange creatures she's never seen before are a far more welcome sight than weird, gruff humans demanding to know her name.]

I don't know what that is, but no.

[She's going to take a wild guess and assume that it's not anywhere like the Moira. At the very least, if this person came from there, there's probably a lot more cat creatures than the Moira does.]

"Hey, you over there!" A low, but insistent, voice calls out to passers by. "You. With the face."

If heeded, it won't take long to discover that the voice belongs to a man waving from a makeshift stand a ways down the beach. The stand itself appears to be hastily constructed of an old cardboard box, the words LEG CON written on the front in loopy letters.

Oh, and the guy manning the stand also happens to be a skeleton. A skeleton slathered in sunscreen, no less. Apparently you can never be too careful.

"C'mon, I don't bite. Got a few questions for ya." He waves again, motioning them closer. "On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your legs?"

As a rule, R&R isn't something that really happens for the Moira crew. It's enough to make a guy suspicious, even when presented with enough sand and sunshine to make someone without skin worry about melanoma.

Fortunately for Sans, he's never been one to needlessly worry. Sure, all the clothes they're buying were probably made from the hides of babies and the mud he just finished soaking in was almost certainly laced with poison, but that was tomorrow Sans' problem.

Today Sans had his arms loaded to the point of bursting with packages and shopping bags. He still smelled faintly of cucumbers, thanks to one stubbornly falling through his eye socket and planting itself at the back of his skull. It itched uncomfortably, but not enough for him to make an effort of dislodging it.

Spying a hair salon, Sans slowed, squinting at the sample photographs. Vision already obscured by his bags, it's too late before he realizes what he's on a collision course for.

"Aw, jeez." He winces, bags strewn over the sidewalk. Toy robots, sweets, action figures, and clothing all at least two sizes too large for him are littered everywhere, but Sans seems a little more concerned with the person he just careened into. "I'm sorry, I'm an idiot. You okay?"

Curious about the fact a skeleton is asking about her legs, she hurries her way over toward him with a little grin on her face. She's heard the question he's asked about her legs, but isn't sure how honest she's actually supposed to be here. But it's a skeleton in sunscreen at the beach, she isn't going to get many other chances to talk to a skeleton on the beach. So she arches her eyebrows and doesn't bother hiding the fact that she's attempting to judge if this is a perverted skeleton or not as she makes direct and prolonged eye contact. He looks too harmless to be perverted, she figures, so she just goes along with it. Anything that caters to her egomania is always a good thing.

"On a scale of 1 to 10? One being Shrek-like, ten being David Beckham's ridiculously overvalued but no less impressive legs?" Her head tips to the side, and she keeps that eye contact as her grin widens into something filled with good humor and amusement. "A solid seven and a half, I wager. Why do you ask?"

B.E.A.C.H.: ASH3

L has been sitting for several hours in a beach chaise, bare-chested and shielded by a large umbrella staked into the sand near the chair, his eyes covered by dark sunglasses. The trunks he's wearing aren't what he would have chosen, but he doesn't particularly feel like hunting down anything more to his taste. There is an absolutely huge frozen pink drink perched next to him with a single straw sticking out of it.

The dark glasses shield him from the light, it's true, but they also make it a little easier to watch people less conspicuously. The book he's holding also helps, but anyone who watches him for any length of time may notice that it's rare for him to turn a page.

However, anyone who watches him for any length of time will probably be noticed and waved over, if they don't confront him first.

BF3: Dessert Orgy

L sits at a table in a restaurant known for its desserts.

Conspicuously, there is one of everything (everything from the dessert menu, anyway) in front of him, along with a pot of coffee. The dessert spread covers the large table. Some of the portions are much too large for one person, and he looks a little more genuinely pleased than usual. He holds a fork by the end of its handle with only his fingertips.

This is an impressive display of hypothetical gluttony.

Did they run out of something you wanted? Even if they didn't... is he really going to eat all of that? When someone catches his attention for whatever reason, he motions them over with a cool wave of his long hand. There are a few extra sets of utensils on the table, too.

"You can have something if you want... just leave some for me. Have you seen anything worth talking about here?"

BF3: Shopping

It's been a long time since L was presented with so much consumerist bounty -- not really since a few years ago in Tokyo, and even then, he'd hardly ever interacted with it on a personal level. The Tranquility had been grim and sleek and utilitarian apart from its tendency to deliver things like tins of human teeth in strawberry jam, and it had only stopped once during his tenure as a passenger. At the outlaws' outpost, Arima, he'd traded a bullet for a few small luxuries, but that had been nothing like this. It's the difference between a relatively flashy market in an impoverished country and what's clearly luxury shopping in a luxury destination.

The problem is that it's overwhelming in a way that it wouldn't be if he were simply shopping for surveillance equipment or basic survival goods. He stands for a long time, looking at various items, frowning, shoulders hunched. The cabins could use more pillows, better linens. If automatic cleaning units are available, they might be a viable choice. Some personal books might be in order. Past that, he's at a loss, and looks it.

When someone approaches, he turns his head and comments, "What do you think we're missing? I really can't decide."

CLF5: Hotel World

This sort of thing used to be his natural habitat, and now, it's so seductive that his first impulse is to resist it completely. A luxury room, without roommates, with any kind of hotel services imaginable. He sits in the lobby for a long time before taking a room, considering the idea of going for a simple bed instead. But there may not be another chance for this for a long time, if ever, so he gives in to the indulgence.

In the lobby, or later, as he rests against the wall of a corridor for longer than most people would probably like to see someone in a hotel hallway, he'll ask strangers and relative strangers, "Have you ever stayed somewhere like this? How long has it been?"

If it's someone he knows, it's, "Unlimited credits... I wonder where they're coming from?"

Are the captains rich, or are they frauds? And if it's the latter, is anyone going to figure that out before the Moira leaves?

Those desserts though. i laughed.

Yes, the did run out of what he wanted only for him to find out the item in question had been hoarded onto the restaurant's largest table with some. . .kid? Whoever it is sitting there without a care in the world. Loki looked disgruntled at the idea someone could even stomach ordering so many pastries but well what did he expect? He about did just the same with clothes and other trinkets further into the shopping district but a part of his mind told him those purchases were, at the very least, practical.

"I do not think leaving any for you is going to be a problem. . ." he mumbled under his breath.

"Besides our ship's captains having enough wealth to rival the gods," and quite literally at that. "No. Not particularly."

Even if he had his suspicions he was willing to accept a simple lie for a good time. He was more interested in know.

Tailgate | Transformers IDW

[Beach episode]

[This place is so bright and cheery that Tailgate himself can't help but be bright and cheery too. So excited to be a part of everything, Tailgate charges onwards without waiting for his friends to catch up. Naturally, since he got it a couple weeks ago, Tailgate is wearing a giant, oversized bikini over his metal plating, and can be found just about everywhere. Whether it's using his hoverboard to "surf" on the waves, sitting on the beach, or even underwater at night, looking at the pretty fish.

Needless to say, Tailgate is enjoying himself immensely, and he hopes that the people who hang out with him enjoy themselves too.]

[Snow!]

[Tailgate has never seen snow before. Well, sure he's seen it on the screen, but never in person. It was more of an organic world novelty, and Tailgate is determined to enjoy it.

Not that he needs it, but Tailgate is wearing a very large scarf that he got somewhere, and is sitting in the snow. He plays with it, tossing it up and watching it flutter down, and after a while he tries to built stuff with it, much like the sandcastles he tried to build on the beach.

After a while he'll start hiding behind large (very large) snow drifts and will try to throw snow at people, with extremely limited success. See, having never seen snow before means that he's never had the change to build the perfect snowball.

He gets points for enthusiasm though.]

[Shopping]

[Shopping is something Tailgate gets to do so rarely that he's absolutely delighted to get this chance now. He has money, and he fully intends to buy things with it. Secretly, he hopes to find clothes that'll fit him, but he's not sure how likely that is. Clothes are cute and fun-looking, he refuses to believe that such things are out of his reach.

When he's not looking for clothes, he's looking and buying everything else. Lava lamps? Sure! Giant teddies? Yes! Posters of bands he's never heard of? Obviously! If it can be bought, Tailgate is right there trying to buy it.]

[Note: Tailgate can be found doing these things both as his robot self and as his human flavoured avatar.]

[ Spotting a familiar figure out in the snow, Elsa pauses and watches for a few moments. It's hard to not smile as she watches Tailgate throw the snow in the air and watch it fall back to the ground. It's cute. And it has her guessing that he has very limited experience with snow.

That's such a strange thought to her, having grown up with snow everywhere. Even during seasons that weren't winter, thanks to her magic. Unable to help herself, she approaches Tailgate, stepping through the snow carefully, offering him a friendly smile. Even without the snow around them, it's simply nice to see him again. She's been meaning to check in on him, but the complications of last month had taken most of her attention. ]

I like your scarf. [ She gestures to it with one hand. ] Have you seen a lot of snow before?

[ It's hard to shake Pietro, but when he stumbles to the next room the dizziness is still difficult to handle. That's probably the real reason why he hasn't zipped around the room at his usual pace, just to scope it out and see all of the exits and whatnot. Instead, he half-stumbles half walks, disoriented. If the look on his face is anything to go by, he's not happy, either.

He has things to do. He told his sister he'd be back. They have Sokovia to save, and now is not the time for things like space ships. He should probably be taking the whole space thing with a lot more wonder, but as of now he has other things on his mind. For instance, trying his best intimidating posture--surprisingly believable--at the nearest person, standing his full height, and glaring. The dizziness is gone, now. ]

Tell me who you are and why you're here.

[ His words a clipped; his Sokovian accent heavy. He's trying to look for people in power. ]

Beach;
[ He's never been to the beach like this before before. He is pale, having spent most of his time in dingy weather or underground with HYDRA tests, and he squints at the sun in the sky like he's never seen it before even though he knows he has. One thing is certain: he certainly did not come equipped for the beach, if what he's wearing is any indication. ]

This is stupid.

[ He's going to say that to the first person who comes within earshot, sneakers in the sand, already sweating, and already looking miserable. Why he decided to come here is beyond him, and he wrinkles his nose. Misery loves company and he is not above being a slightly annoying 20 something, especially when it comes to whining ever so slightly. ] Why are we here?

Snow;
[ This? This was better. This was much better to Pietro. Mainly because snow meant snowballs and, for as much of a bottle of compressed anger and vengeance as he is, he's still, like any version of Quicksilver, a giant freaking dork.

He sets it up simply: he creates an entire pyramid, ferrero-rocher style, of snowballs. Once someone approaches, be it going back up the hill from sledding or going down the hill from skiing, he launches absolutely all of them in incredible rapid succession, using his powers not for good but for tomfoolery. Only after you've survived--or dodged--the onslaught does he slow down, laugh, and offer a hand wordlessly. ]

Shopping/Nightlife; OTA
[ See that blur? That's Pietro taking what he wants without so much of a sneeze on his moral compass. Probably because his moral compass isn't the best, really, when it comes to mundane things. He gets into a habit pretty early in his shopping day: he'll stand outside a store, stare at it for a few seconds and decide what he needs. Then, with a slight trail of blue that quickly dissipates, he appears and reappears with whatever has caught his eye--at a sports store, he pretty much takes two or three pairs of running shoes, a track jacket and a few underarmour-esque shirts, all blue.

No one said he wasn't predictable.

A flash as he dashes away, presumably to store it, and he's back again: if he catches you noticing, he'll smirk. ]

Can I assist you? [ You want some free shit buddy?

Alternatively, he'll be doing the same thing at bars. He'll wait for someone to order a drink at a club, watch what the bartender is doing, and then use his speed to replicate the drink as quickly as possible. After that he just sits back, tries the drink, and if he likes it he'll continue. If not, it gets dumped out. It's not like he's paying for it--feel free to catch him in the act of one of those things.

A shame with his high metabolism it's nearly impossible for him to get drunk on normal alcohol... ]

[ He continues to hold Wanda, her weight absolutely nothing to him. Even before the strength and the training and the tests, her weight would be nill. Wanda is his sister, he can hold her for as long as it takes, physics be damned. She's fragile, but only sometimes, and this is very much one of those moments. His heart is breaking, and as much as he doesn't want to prod, he knows he has to. So he keeps his voice light and almost jovial, despite the situation:]

Then we will stay like this forever, hnn? Just us. Just here. Or, if you are brave, you can let me fix it. [ Pietro will fix everything for his sister. Everything. ] And you are the bravest person I know.

He hates this Peter, Pietro decides. He hates this Peter because this Peter is right in every single way, and Pietro is stubborn and selfish and he would very much like to connect his fist with the other's face. The problem is he can't, because Peter's words are still echoing in his head, even after a few moments. 'Unless Wanda's got a real bad read on you, I know what you would do.'

He's right. Pietro mistakes that flicker and another smile as smugness, and his grip tightens before it relaxes. Even then, it's still tight. Not with anger this time, but with frustration. He's warring with himself. Literally and figuratively--the poetic justice is palpable. He keeps Peter against the wall, but his voice softens somewhat. Somewhat.

"What has she told you?"

[ He's mimicking the bartender at a club like he has been for a while when J walks in. She's pretty at first glance, but if Pietro's being honest, that's not the only reason she piques his interest. It's the drink she orders--it's complicated and has a lot of mixes in them, and Pietro has always loved a challenge. He memorizes it and, once her drink is almost done, he uses his speed to zip to the bar, replicate it (complete with umbrella garnish), and set it down. He sits down, too, right next to her, and stares at her with curious blue eyes. ]

On the house, that's what they say? [ His accent is heavy and Sokovian, and he half-smirks. He's allowed to be proud, he's earned it. He's fairly certain he's got the drink right, even if he poured a little heavy. ]

i: arrival

[Nothing was okay about this. Sure, she got the explanation, she read the message explaining everything she needed to know. She understood, but that didn't mean she was happy about it, nor trusted anything around her. The sane part of her told her not to trust anything, but then she wondered why she had her lightsabers, why she was given free reign to explore the ship-- she even had her comm link. So why, if this was a trap, would her belongings not be taken from her?

Refusing to use the device forced on her wrist, in case it was more sinister than it appeared, she took to trying to make contact with her still intact comm link. She was told she wasn't in the same galaxy anymore, but part of her clung to the hope that her Master or someone else from the Republic would be listening, be close enough to come rescue her from this mess she had found herself in.]

Hello? Is anyone there? This is Ahsoka Tano-- [But all she got was static in return, no matter what she tried.

Frustrated that she was getting nowhere, she finally did the one thing the young Jedi struggled with the most: she set down and meditated. She could feel the familiar pull of the Force, but what it all meant, what was going on here, she still had no idea.]

ii: exploring the Moira

[She could only meditate for so long, especially since nothing was getting any clearer. So, instead of staying still any longer, she took to exploring every inch of the ship. If there's a spot readily accessible by the crew, expect you might find the young Togruta there.]

iii: ASH3

[It was several days before Ahsoka actually left the ship. It was a lot to take in all of a sudden, and even as enticing as a "vacation" sounded, she still wasn't sure what to make of it all.

She finally decided to visit ASH3, out of the three. She had no real desire to shop, especially given Jedi kept no worldy possessions, and while a spa day didn't sound bad, she had been pulled from the Jedi temple rather than battle, so she was pretty well rested.

The setting she finally decided on was a nature hike. Maybe she didn't grow up on Shili, but she still loved the fresh air-- forests, especially. And it was different than the air on Coruscant, which was basically one giant, loud city. This was quiet, and right now, she needed quiet.

She walked for a good bit, before she settled down at the edge of a stream with the lunch she packed. Throughout the day, she could be found by the river, meditating and enjoying nature. ]

a. first impressions
[ Introductions and explanations over with means that she finally has opportunity to have a look around, get a feel for things, and gather some intel. It'll take her much less time than an organic being, but Cortana finds herself somewhat excited nonetheless.

She thought she'd been done. That she was destroyed, and that was that. Except, apparently, this Ingress portal had particularly good timing and pulled her into this universe so that, somehow, she could continue functioning. It would be preferable if Chief...John was here, but she thinks she can make do for the time being. It's better to be here and functional than to not exist at all, isn't it?

Plugged into the ship's systems as it is, Cortana is quick to spread her awareness out. She uses the cameras that seem to be all over the ship to get an actual look at the halls, the rooms, and the various facilities. Then she goes over the manifest, getting what information she can about the rest of the crew out of it. From there, she starts going over all of the network broadcasts that have been archived, but sets that as a background process.

A bonus to being an AI -- being great at multitasking.

She wants to actually meet some of these people from all these different universes. Talk to them, learn about them and where they come from, hear about their experiences aboard the Moira. So, as someone moves down along one of the hallways, Cortana projects her holographic form off to the side of the corridor, near the wall. Small, blue, with lines of code running up along her "body", she's at the right height to speak to the crew member, her image simply floating in position, nothing beneath her. So much more freedom here than at home! ]

Hello. [ A simple greeting, kind of boring, but it seems safe. Not everyone here is likely to be all too familiar with AIs. ] I hope I didn't startle you. It's not my intent, but I can't exactly make any noise before approaching to make sure you can hear me coming.

[ Because what you're seeing is literally light and she has a feeling speaking over the intercom system would be just as startling as appearing from nowhere. ]

[A month ago he would have welcomed a beach. But that was before he made the very piss poor decision to use that test Ingress to go see Costa Rica. And before he got shot in France. And before he got chased by his own demons, he guesses, and is still deeply perturbed by that mystery.]

[While no further experiences have happened, it reasonably has him on edge.]

[He's still mostly dressed at the edge of the beach, though he has on his stupid MSF speedo underneath his slacks. Shirt is half unbuttoned as it is and his sleeves are rolled up because it's hot. It's not even out of self-consciousness that he's having second thoughts. It's that he's tired, angry, and has been given the chance to relax when he has absolutely no desire whatsoever to exploit it because it feels like the likelihood of being eaten by a sandworm is high.]

[Theoretically this is supposed to be relaxing. How relaxing? Probably quite restful until the inevitable disaster.]

[But. Sure. Okay. He'll go out there and be attacked by a running shark or a nightmare octopus or something. That's fine. He heads out onto the beach, sheds his extra clothes, and uses them as a blanket so he can stretch out on the sand. And... immediately start reviewing some of the texts saved on his MID that he wanted to build programs based off of. Still the king of productivity.]

[Despite the current foul temper, though, he does kind of hope this place has a nice looking sunset. He could use one of those.]


☄ Sleepy Child | Closed to Big Boss and Link
[Kaz is back in the shirt and slacks once he got done baking himself. He's also spent time with Link. At least kids tire easily, for all that they have boundless energy, and after a while of entertaining this one Kaz has finally defeated Link with a long and exhausting story about the history of Davy Crockett in the years immediately prior to the Alamo. And somewhere in there, he ended up with a blond child head on his knee as he drifted off to dreamland.]

[Children have a unique talent for the most uncomfortable and unfortunate way of positioning themselves, and that head on Miller's knee turns into this child sending his leg spiraling into a fit of needle prickling despair. His full, healthy leg comes with the misfortune of still being very capable of falling asleep, and Link managed to find respite in the perfect spot to do just that.]

Boss! [He called as quietly as he possibly could when he saw him. His shoes are still a distance away and unreachable as he's crippled by small pointy-eared warrior child that he can't pick up without disturbing him.] I need a little help. [Mostly mouthed as he points down at his obstacle.]


☄ Shopping | OTA
[So far, so good. Nothing stalking him. No one waiting under tables with cryptic gazes. At least, no one who is out to get him in particular. That's doing pretty well.]

[He's finally settled into shopping, mostly grabbing things for the ship. Real paper that he can use to write and plan. A ton of pens. Cooking materials. But the worst sin of all comes when he finds a huge apron, something that would probably be great to cook in. A broad, utilitarian thing that would protect most of his clothing so he could remain as fussy as ever.]

[Problems are briefly forgotten as he's holding this drably colored (if completely functional) monstrosity up against himself in the store. As if size is actually a thing he would have to worry about.]

[Where there's a beach, there's got to be a boardwalk, right? Maybe you're observing one of the booths, maybe you just happen to be taking a quick glance. Doesn't matter; Luke walks up with a smile on his face, and points to one of the stuffed animals hanging on the wall.] That one, right?

[Without waiting for an answer, he waves to the nearby booth attendant, smiling brightly. He's gonna win it for you, bro; this is clearly what you wanted, right?]

d. NIGHTCLUBBING | nightlife whatevers.

[Luke knows better than to drink at these things, and he's not really sure what glowing neon lights and pounding music has to do with a good time. All he knows is it's exciting, and he wanders around bright-eyed, trying to take it all in.]

[And then the yelling starts. Someone just had their wallet and / or purse stolen. Luke is off like a light, running after the thief at full tilt.]

[Namely, distracted by a group of small children following him as he walks along the shore. They keep clamoring at him to 'do it again', whatever that is. With an indulgent sigh, he turns to face them.]

Would there ever have been an opportune time for Luke to buzz this particular beach? Possibly, L thinks, when he was in the mountains. He's drenched, his drink is full of seawater, and the ends of his hair are now clinging unpleasantly to his shoulders and the nape of his neck.

He's scrubbing at his scalp with the drier end of his towel when the call comes through on the MID. He answers it voice-only.

"Luke Skywalker. Why?" He sounds mildly aggrieved, because he is, but he's not too upset -- just disrupted and soaked and in need of a new cold fruity drink. Cassandra seems quite taken with Luke. L hasn't discussed it with her, but what he's observed of it on the network makes the relationship seem like... like what? Like ordinary university dating. Has he just been the victim of equally ordinary teenage joyriding?

[The sounds of the ocean are calming. The waves softly run against the sand and retreat back to reveal shells and even a crab or two sometimes. There were even these annoying birds flying over head that kept landing and getting near him as if they were waiting for something. Levi wasn't paying much attention to that though. His eyes are focused on the water. It's more beautiful than any book, any story, or any human could have described. He didn't deserve to see it. This wasn't his dream, this hadn't been a ambition of his. He just wanted survival-- at least that it was before Eren and his friends came into the Legion. They would have loved this.

His eyes avert, going down to the sand. His boots are now covered but that was honestly the last thought on his mind. He is still in his full uniform as he just stares out into the sea. It was almost a comical sight. The man had just made a bee line to the ocean as soon as they arrived, as if he were in a trance. And now he's just staring at it. He wanted them here, everyone. He didn't understand why he was the only one who made it here when there were other far more deserving of it. It was an odd feeling not to be starving at night and not to be watching your back at every corner. Not that he still wasn't suspicion of these so called 'captains.'

His mind starts to wander again, back to his squad and the stories that Armin would tell them about the wonders that were in that book of his. He said that the ocean wasn't like the water they drank back home, that it was made of salt instead. It certainly smelled salt, but he wasn't sure if he really wanted to find out. The thought of them arriving and asking him these questions though...he wants to make sure he had answers for them. He sighs as his brow furrows. He takes a knee to the sand and places his cupped hands into the water and to his lips--]

The expression on her face probably looks like what a 404 ERROR would look like even with her sunglasses on. To say she's overwhelmed is a bit of an understatement. In her daze, it also looks like she's ordered quite the spread of desserts for herself.

She's only roused from her daze when someone bumps into the table.]

[ "Unimpressed" doesn't really cover the emotions Tony Stark is currently ignoring, because it entirely leaves out anger, panic, disbelief, and more-than-mild offense. But it's the one that's making itself known most aggressively just now, so he's rolling with it. It's better than thinking about kidnapping (again), or space (again) or probably-aliens (again), or — Fuck, he's thinking about it.

Moving right along.

He's hauling a four foot tall red-and-gold metal cylinder with him, which, by the looks of things, was not meant to be de-powered and manually carried for long distances, probably because it weighs approximately Too Damn Many pounds. But that's what an impromptu cross-universe abduction will do to you while you're in the middle of repairs, so he's attempting valiantly to get the thing to his... 'quarters'? The tiny prison cell they're no doubt keeping their crew members (future meals??) in? To make matters even more exasperating, he's still banged up from his plunge in New York - nothing major, but certainly enough that he's not exactly gleeful over lugging this thing god-knows-how-far - and he's done imagining his third cranky accessibility improvement when he throws in the towel.

With a heavy sigh he drops the cylinder to the floor and, heedless of the loud CLANG, flops down on top of it to catch his breath. Jesus. ]

Any big strong types feel like lending a hand? [ After eyeing the milling passerby for a long few beats ] Or multiple small weak types. My standards are plummeting by the second, I'm not picky.

[ Later, once the captains have made their generosity known, he's doing what any freshly-kidnapped person would do and attempts to milk them totally dry. Or maybe this is just his normal standard of living? Food for thought.

Either way, he can be found leaning casually against just about any semi-classy bar at the resort, ordering rounds for the entire establishment. And it's the good shit, too, not Bloody Mary's and Jack Daniels. He buys the whole bar the most expensive scotch at least twice. ]

[ He's seen what the starter kit consists of, which is why he's using this time to stock up on all of the necessities he suspects will be conspicuously absent aboard the Moira proper. Like real clothing, and cologne, and wristwatches that aren't this extremely clunky and unpleasant biometric robo-shackle. So, naturally, he can be found in the various shopping districts, picking up a multitude of expensive luxuries on the captain's dime. At one point he buys a cocktail dress for a blonde in an expensive boutique, on the condition that she wear it to the bonfire later. What a goddamn tool.

If you're perusing the items in a shop at the same time he is, he'll look over and tut lightly. ]

Yeah, not really your color. You look like more of an Autumn, is all I'm saying.

d. bonfire

[ Once evening falls, and he's hit up half the stores and more-than-half of the bars, he can be found at the bonfire party, mingling with the crowd, drink in hand. The observant may notice the level in the glass never seems to actually go down, but he's making a good show of it, regardless. He may stop you for small talk, try to hand you a drink, try to hand you a lei (complete with off-color joke, yes, he's hilarious), or simply slide his way into your conversation like he belongs there.

It's later into the evening, easily the equivalent of midnight or one on alien-planet time, when he breaks away from the crowd and stands just shy of where the tide ripples onto the shore, looking out over the water. If he tries really hard - and doesn't think very much - he could almost imagine he's looking out over his stretch of beach in Malibu.

With a heavy sigh he loosens his (freshly bought) tie and unbuttons the top button on his shirt, suddenly bearing very little resemblance to the man who was tossing leis onto women's heads from across a large fire. If you're avoiding the party yourself, you just might run into him. ]

She might not be impressed by the sight of a full grown man dragging around what appears to be a fancy trash can, but she is curious. She has to ask.]

ASH3 » B.E.A.C.H.! THE BEST ESCAPE;

[ There's a lot of ways this could go wrong, and being who he is, Bruce expects things to turn sour halfway through the month. But that's a concern for future him. Worries and suspicion aside, Bruce fully intends to take this unique opportunity and relax, enjoy his time here as much as he can. What does that mean? Essentially, full tourist transformation.

He'll be found on the beach a lot, in dark blue or red swimming trunks, carrying with him some of the set of beach gear given to him just a month ago. Sunglasses slipped on, towel or blanket stretched across the sand, he seems to be completely relaxed and very much enjoying the sun, or even making his way along the shore and going into the ocean for a swim every so often. He'll also be sipping on fruity drinks and milkshakes at times, or enjoying an ice cream while sitting at one of the beach bars or on his towel in the sand. Later at night, he'll walk by the bonfire parties once or twice, and he'll go on one of the boat tours to see the bioluminescent fish.

Whether at the restaurants along the beach or closer to the shopping areas, Bruce can also easily be found trying the most various offers where food is concerned. From what looks like fancy sushi and pasta to huge burgers and steaks, without forgetting the delicious desserts and large colorful drinks, he'll be eating just about anything.

As the days go by, he'll also get a pretty noticeable tan, making him look even more relaxed and different from himself. ]


BF3 » WHEN I SHOP, THE WORLD GETS BETTER;

[ When not at the beach, Bruce can also be found navigating the seemingly endless number of shops and stands, not in his swimwear but still wearing something more casual; he may also be wearing this shirt at some point and no one dare make fun of him for it, clearly it looks so good on him.

He doesn't even need the things he's checking out, but he doesn't particularly care. If he sees something he really likes, be it a piece of clothing, a book, or some pointless trinket, he'll get it. He'll also be checking out anything that might fit into the science department, whether useful or just decorative, and at some point he may actually be looking into jewellery. Not for him, for the record. ]


MOIRA » ALL PLAY, NO WORK;

[ Despite spending most of his time down at the resort, Bruce still can't ignore his work. The first couple of days it's easy to find him on the ship, particularly the science department, but once he goes down to the resort, his presence on board the Moira will be much more sporadic and only for very brief periods of time. Still, it'll be possible to find him checking any readings and collected information about the resort and the surrounding area of this system, still in his usual clothes if during the first few days, or with just a lab coat thrown over one of his more casual vacation outfits since he can't be bothered to change for just a quick visit to the ship. ]


CLF5 & OTHERS » WILDCARD;

[ Bruce can be found just about anywhere on the resort, though he'll be more easily found in the warmer areas, and won't have as much interest in visiting the snowy mountains. He'll be staying in one of the underwater bedrooms at CLF5 for the duration of their visit too, and he'll even make use of the spa offers every once or twice, so he can be found almost literally everywhere. Feel free to bump into him anywhere! ]

[ One part of the ship she's been paying particular attention to is, naturally, the science department. She's all kinds of curious about what they've been working on, if they've been studying the Ingress at all, and generally just what they've researched on any of the other stops the Moira has made.

However, the resort planet seems to have drawn most of the crew off the ship, including the scientists. Much to Cortana's disappointment. Still, she's been checking in frequently in hopes if finding someone in there. And finally, eventually, she has some luck.

Having looked up... Well, everyone in the Directory, she's aware of who he is to an extent. Wasting no time, not wanting to chance another disappearance of the science staff, Cortana projects her hologram into the room. ...Taking advantage of the wonderful new ability to do so wherever she pleases by flickering into being right on the table Bruce is working at. ]

[1. VACATION, ALL I EVER WANTED (ASH3)]

Liquid's probably needed a vacation for a while. He's still a bit annoyed at himself after Del Pascia, and he really doesn't want to think about what he left behind on Amissis-Re.

So he's actually pretty damn surprised when it looks like a vacation is exactly what they're getting. Now those swim trunks he got in the mail make perfect sense.

He's wearing said swim trunks (dark grey with a radioactive symbol pattern, of course), and he's already constructed himself something of a sandcastle. It's impressive, not in design, but in size. It might not look like much of a castle, but one could call it something like a fortress.

He'd appreciate it being called that, anyway. He's sitting there patting more sand onto the giant thing, smoothing it out and going for more. "Are you going to stare, or are you going to assist?"

[2. WOAH, WE'RE GOING TO IBIZA (AS3)]

Thumping bass, a distinctive sort of "oontz", and is that a hoover? The lights are down, the glowsticks are out, and Liquid Snake's in the middle of it, looking like he's having a fine time. Look, he's dancing. Maybe Liquid hadn't intended to end up at a rave of all things, but now that he's here, he doesn't plan on going anywhere.

There is probably nothing stranger than seeing Liquid Snake raving. At least not in the fun dancing sort of way. And if anyone gives him shit for it, he is likely to try to kill them.

Just enjoy the party. Liquid sure is.

[3. WE'RE S-H-O-P-P-I-N-G (BF3)]

Of course when Liquid went shopping he headed straight to whatever weapons he could find.

And found none of his infinite credit would work on them. So of course he's a little steamed.

"What? No weapons? What the hell?" All this money (infinite money!), and he can't even buy any weapons? What's the point, then?

The point is to take a vacation, but still. Sure, he's amassed a nice little collection already, but it's the principle of the thing. If he can't directly buy the weapons, though, maybe he can buy something he can use as one anyway. Or, hell, just buy something to decorate the room a bit more. Shop off his anger.

"Well, fine, I'm great at improvising. Let's see what else they've got."

[4. FASHION (TURN TO THE LEFT) (BF3)]

Liquid isn't a big fan of the Moira uniforms. He's only ever seen wearing his when he's meant to, and when that's done, off it goes and he puts on his usual gear. He doesn't like spending more time in those than he has to.

Even if he cleans them often and he has a spare, though, it's still the same trench coat, same pair of pants. As much as he doesn't want to admit it, maybe he needs to update his look a little.

No shirts, though. Never shirts.

"How's this look?" It's a trenchcoat, but at least it's a black one this time. Look, he's branching out. Into being a goth, apparently.

Give him points for trying.

[5. WE HUNGER (BF3)]

Liquid isn't really a picky eater. It's hard to be when you sometimes have to survive on what you can find. And he's been doing that on and off since he was a child. He can scavenge and hunt with the best of them.

So he'll pretty much eat anything. He's got a big appetite (possibly something in his genes, even), and he plans to try out every goddamn restaurant he can while he's here.

Well, except those weird ones that only give you the world's tiniest amount of food. What are they even thinking?

He glances around to see what's there, and what he might want to hit up later. But for now... "What do you say we find the biggest buffet they've got and give them a run for their money?"

Oh, Paz is going to stare for a little while, all right. That's a big pile of sand.

"What are we defending against?" she asks, head cocked to one side like a little bird. She's more focused on the fortress than the man building it.

[Genos' initial arrival was not a very social one. He arrived through ingress with most of his housekeeping gear on - his arms weren't suited for battle, he was wearing his favored pink apron, he had an accordion folder with all of his notes on Saitama-sensei tucked under his arm, and he had been lifting up his briefcase with ARMSMODE. He never really expected a dimensional shift to occur while he was preparing to dust and vacuum the closet, after all.]

[While Genos did receive a uniform, he didn't have much interest in wearing it. So instead he's getting a new wardrobe, ARMSMODE arms equipped to make sure that the clothes were sturdy and bulky enough to handle some blasts of heat in case of emergency, not that burning off his clothes was any actual issue for him. He's got a large bag as-is, though now he's looking at the sleeves of the shirts thoughtfully.]

[Saitama will flop into the ingress only moments after Genos. He had been in the living room, curled up on the heart printed futon to watch TV for crime notices. Actually, he'd fallen asleep prior, something he usually didn't do in his hero costume. Being snatched up and shoved into another dimension by the Ingress felt a lot like taking a long fall off a short ledge, in a dream. He lands on his face beside the cyborg, cap fluttering to land over his head as he's startling awake.]

BWAAH! G-Genos!? [he'll throw the cape backwards, spotting some familiar pink house slippers, metal ankles visible]

Oh. There you are. [He rolls over onto his back, looking up at the apron clad hero.]

[1. Arrival]

[When you go to sleep in a place, you usually expect to wake up still in said place. So this is officially the weirdest morning Charlie has ever had, honestly. Well - more like the weirdest day, and after that mess just the other night, that is saying a lot.

She idly rubs the new scar on her left cheek, the small but lasting proof that it was all real, then pinches it. Yep, it hurts, which means this is all real and she is on board a space ship.

Nothing Aunt Jen taught her could have prepared her for that.

Cue her cautiously, quietly exploring the ship...and occasionally just wandering around like a very lost puppy.]

[2. Beach? BEACH?!?!]

[Charlie is from the inland state of Utah.

She has never been to a beach before, not a real one with a real ocean. She's seen it in movies, sure, but she's never been. The closest she's gotten is going to a lake, but that doesn't even begin to compare to this. The wind from the ocean, the sound of the waves and the spray and--

She can't help the loud, excited squeak of:] Oh my gosh, it's so pretty!

[At her side, seemingly out of nowhere, is a skeleton eating an ice cream cone. How did he get here? Where did he get his ice cream? These are just a few of the questions that seem to have no answer whatsoever.

Still, there's a certain sad fondness in his eyes as he watches the waves ebb and flow with the tide. It's a fresh sight for him too.]
