[ CLF5 seemed like the perfect place to go after getting bruised ribs, a few scrapes here and there, and just generally being disgruntled with a sharp turn of events after Daisy's very public, slandering, MID post. And in typical wounded-egotistical fashion, Loki didn't just purchase some simple spa service. No, he bought them all.

[ While weapons seem to be off limits, that doesn't stop Loki from loading up on apothecary supplies from jars to bottles to all kinds of different herbs and mixes. Some are incredibly poisonous and other choices are relatively harmless. In fact, one could mistake he was shopping for just flowers in general what with the nice bouquet he has going but don't be fooled. They might smell lovely but they're definitely for other purposes.

And one of the cybertrons, Tarn, killed another, Riptide on a planet with a strange Ingress that sent us all home for a brief time.

Ingress Day
[it's no surprise that the Ingress opened again -- the surprise was that the break between inflows had been this long. reporting early to Navigator Manasseh, stunner ready to hand, Bel walks the ship for the rest of the shift, a lean, androgynous figure with a ready smile for newcomers. everyone gets the benefit of the doubt unless some trouble arises. one way or another, there's always trouble.
after the shift, though, Bel pursues sanity down to the Collectives, exploring the shops and joining friends on the beach. it's as good as promised, and as the month moves on Bel visits again and again, preferring to tan rather than swim but always up for running or playing in the sand, which, unlike Beta Colony's, amazingly doesn't burn at the touch. casual wear includes a Betan sarong, a strappy neon-orange bikini (surprisingly classy despite the vivid color), and, on beaches with fewer sartorial regulations, nothing at all, a perfectly civilized choice where Bel comes from thankyouverymuch.~]

between sampling the various treatments, and recommending the most enjoyable ones to those most in need of a break, Bel has another agenda: seducing Miles all over again with attention, affection, and the best experiences the Collective has to offer. between the recent crises and the still-unexplained cryo stint, there hasn't been much time to simply spend together, and Bel would dearly like to remedy that.
it's a good environment to get to know the new crewpeople, too, and to make time for friends new and old. Bel is alert for opportunities to invite people out for a drink, a dance, or a walk on the beach.]

A date night, complete with an overnight stay down planetside -- a first, Miles realizes, since his arrival on the Moira -- was just about what Miles needed, and Bel, too, probably. It'd been nice, this small sliver of near-normalcy, to reduce the world down to just the two of them. Miles had really needed the attention Bel was so ready to give him, not only because he's still been feeling the loss of both Lara and Clark, but just...because. Because Bel is good to him, always has been even with that wicked sense of humor, and because Miles wanted to pay it back, too, because it was the least that Bel deserved. Stripping all else away, ending the day with the two of them bedded down in the covers together, free of all other obligations and company, was something Miles hadn't even realized he needed so badly until they were there.
But no one said the romance had to stop there. The night after, Miles is coaxing Fat Ninny back down along the beach at twilight -- the horse isn't the fondest of sand, but he'll comply with enough sugar and encouragement from Miles. Bel will be joining them at the shoreline any moment now, he's sure. Last night had been Bel's treat to Miles -- now it's Miles's turn to be sweet on his honorable Betan.

It's not even remotely coincidental, of course, but Liquid's got no way of knowing she knew his father. He might have seen her in a few old pictures here or there back at Mother Base, but the likelihood of him actually remembering something small like that from so long ago is pretty slim.
He might know a few things about Cipher, but it doesn't seem like she'd ever come up in either what he'd been told or what he'd found out.
"Great. We play our cards right, this thing's going to be bloody huge." He sounds pretty excited about the concept. It's been a while since he could really just go out and have some stupid pointless fun like this. He's making the best use of it he possibly can.
He digs up some wet sand, then looks over at her again.

It never did feel like it was over, and it never felt like he was whole.]

No point in looking at fun outfits when the idea of dating wasn't exactly on her radar. It felt wrong spending money that wasn't hers if she actually took the time to think about it because money always came from somewhere. She'll come around eventually, though, and look at it as a cost for kidnapping her. Just not right now.

[ Someone fails at relaxing. That someone happens to be a 5'4" redhead who's sitting on the beach with a laptop, definitely ignoring the view. She'd done as requested, got off the ship and got some fresh air... She'd even gone shopping. Lois doesn't pay much attention to everyone around her, fingers silently moving over the touchpad keyboard - grateful that it doesn't make the annoying clacking sound a regular one makes.
Taking a sip of the drink next to her, there's a sound of surprise and slight disgust. Guess who doesn't normally do fruity drinks. ]
Maybe they'll put the umbrella in a glass of scotch.

It's an amazing opportunity to see something new and to learn. Something she has a hard time letting go of when it comes to just naturally enjoying an experience. This was one of the moments where she was grateful life could still surprise her. Show her something far more positive than what she normally sees back home. ]

[Even without the ability to sense emotions through the Force, anybody could see just how much talking about his Sensei seems to settle Genos. Even though his revenge quest is ground to a total halt, he can take solace in the fact that he can resume training.]
