Man, do you threaten to murder everybody when you meet them? I know a guy who digs that sort of thing, but that guy is not me.

[It's not that base jumping is particularly frightening; he's been through worse. This is not quite how he thought he'd spend the day.]

[ He let out an exasperated sigh. Unless Peter forgets to pull it there is a good chance he won't die at all. ]

I'll take you to dinner afterward if it'll stop you from whining. [ A chuckled. ] You could have just asked if you wanted a date. I know how to spoil people.

[ And that wicked smile he has on says just as much. It also says he might just be contemplating pushing Peter off anyway but he hasn't decided yet. ]

[No, this really isn't the time, and no, he still hasn't jumped. He excels at one better than the other.]

[ Rocket boots are cheating, c'mon.

Loki steps toward him, all flirtatious smiles, pressing his hands to Peter's chest to push him back toward the edge of the cliff. ]

I said you just have to ask.

[ Don't mind if he does just shove Peter right off the cliff. He might wait a few seconds to follow but he won't be far behind him. ]

[Really, he should have expected this. Moreso if he'd been paying attention to the network at all since arrival, but who bothers with that when they've given unlimited comforts, money, and alcohol straight after a pseudo-kidnapping?

Not Peter Quill, that's for sure.

The initial "yell" (which is precisely what he's going to call it, even if it's a far different, adolescent sound) is unbecoming, but short, something to the tune of "asshole," lost forever to the wind, alas.

After the initial shock abates, it's actually not too damn bad. Not that he's going to admit that when he's supposed to be angry that he's just been shoved off a cliff, but then...it's not as if Loki's had the wrong idea here...right? (He had half-agreed to this after all; why else was he up on that cliff face, now falling in controlled flight?)]
