Me? Nah, I'm the kind of guy who gets a whole chapter.

Of course, when — if — I get home, no amount of scientific rambling is going to justify my story to anyone. Funny thing about theoreticals like this one, we like to fantasize all day about the what-ifs, but don't like considering the possibility that those things might really happen. It's good scientific practice to be skeptical, I guess, but it also means writing a paper about magical space portals and non-catastrophic collisions of the multiverse would just get me laughed out of any credible journal.

[ Hell, he's still not convinced this isn't some kind of bizarre, horrific fever dream. Maybe he'll wake up tomorrow and swear off drinking for the eight hundredth time. ]

And besides, I'm an engineer. I leave the physics to nerdier guys.
