Sunny | Wings of Fire | OTA
Sunny can't pretend she fully understands everything in the information file she just read, but on the bright side, taking the time to read it has let her calm down a little. And from what she can understand, everybody else here has been brought here from somewhere else, too, and they need to work together to get home. That, at least, is something she can focus on, even if she can't go home right now.
This, she thinks, was definitely not in the prophecy.
She tries to keep herself occupied, for now, making her way around the Moira and trying to get used to its strange interior. The hallways are so huge, and yet the ship is full of little scavengers, scurrying around in the busy sort of way scavengers always do. Most of them look just like ordinary scavengers, even though they can talk, but their clothes are like nothing she's ever seen before. She keeps getting distracted staring at them in fascination... Which, coming from a dragon the size of a horse, might be a little bit alarming.
B: AT THE BEACH
Sunny loves the sand. The beach isn't the desert, sure, but the addition of sea to the winning combination of sand and sun hardly ruins it, and after a few days spent under the Moira's artificial light Sunny's only too happy to sink her talons into the sand and soak up some rays. She spreads her wings out wide and settles down on the beach with a happy sigh. Her 30-foot wingspan kind of takes up more than her fair share of the beach -- but then, her golden scales are pretty much the same colour as the sand. Hopefully nobody tries to put a rug or a deck chair down on top of her.
C: SHOPPING
If the Moira itself was overwhelming, this is even more so. Sunny barely manages to go from one shop to the next without having to stop over and over to gape at all the things on offer. It's like the Scorpions' Den, except that at least there she could work out what most of the things on sale were for. Some things – jewellery, cushions, decorations – are pretty straightforward, but gadgets? Fancy toys? The colossal array of different clothes? You'll probably find Sunny taking up too much space in one of any number of different shops, turning things over in her talons in curious confusion.
[I'll match format if you'd prefer brackets to not brackets – & if there's anything else specific you'd like to do with Sunny feel free to hit me up!]

He sits up, blowing sand out of his vents and then looks around at the strange creature--is that a dinobot?--that he'd run over.]
Sorry! I totally didn't... see you there.
no subject
I don't think it's too bad. What... what happened?
[It kind of happened too quickly for her to really make head or tail of it. Did he... step on her...? Or what...?]
no subject
Uh, I dunno? I ran over part of you or something? Are you okay?
no subject
{She stretches out her wing. It looks okay...
She glances back at him.]
Oh, are you from the Moira too?

A.
She was here.
He almost couldn't bring himself to click on her name and pull up the photo, terrified it wasn't going to be here, terrified that it was. His heartbeat was pounding in his ears as he finally tapped the display.
She was here.
Starflight was tearing out of the Navigation deck in seconds. He didn't care that he was still on shift, that he was supposed to stay at his post, that he had a responsibility there. He frantically tried to figure out where she would be as he raced through the halls. Medbay? Barracks? He picked a direction at random and hoped for the best. He didn't slow down until he saw her golden scales.
"Sunny?!" he called out as he ran towards her, breathless from running so far. When he reached her there was the briefest hesitation, before he wrapped his arms and wings tightly around her in a desperate hug.

"Starflight!" She manages to lean back in spite of all the Intense Hugging that's taking place here. Her eyes are bright with gladness. "I didn't know you were here! Are any of the others–?"
no subject
He shook his head, looking apologetic that he had to be the bearer of bad news.
"No one else is here, it's just us so far. It's possible they could show up but I don't think it's very likely."
no subject
It hadn't occurred to her for a second that Starflight might have been here even slightly longer than she had, never mind months longer, but she curled her tail around his anyway. Poor Starflight, she thought. If I'm relieved to see him, he must have been worrying himself silly since he got here.
no subject
"Well, it's just that- so far it's been mostly scavengers. With a few exceptions." He turned toward her with a small smile, "But maybe you're right. Maybe things will be different, now that you're here too." Everything would be different with Sunny here! Everything would be better! He'd never been so happy to see someone in his entire life.
"I missed you so much, Sunny," he admittedly earnestly (and immediately regretted it, why did he say that, he would probably die if she knew how he felt).
"-And, and the others, too. Are they alright? Did the NightWings attack the rainforest?"
no subject
"... Starflight, how long have you been here?"

A
A large something, about the size of a horse and covered in scales the color of sungold.
Sam stopped.
Sam blinked.
No that was definitely a dragon in the hall.
no subject
"Sorry! Sorry, I didn't mean to stare! I promise I'm not going to eat you!"
no subject
Sam looked amazed, but he made a brief conscious effort not to look scared. The result was looking like a goober.
Well. An attempt was made.
"Well. Thanks for that. Maybe we should try something a little less violent? Your name could work."
B
"What the -- DRAGON?!"
Suddenly she feels very naked - not just because she actually is, effectively, considering all she's wearing is a pair of rather obnoxious swim trunks, but that's probably for the best in Sunny's case. All her fur's standing on end, to boot, making for a rather comical cat.
those swimming trunks are beautiful

"I...uh. Y-you jus' startled me. You mean you're not, like, one a them crazy magic-eaters, right? Nothin' like Zhaitan?"

no subject
"Guess there was one who was tryna help, though. Er, sorry. The name's Farlan. Farlan Relichunter."
She bumps her fist to her chest in a quick salute.

B is for Beach
Unfortunately, she is just shy of missing Sunny's wing when she drops down, her butt landing right on the edge.
no subject
"Sorry–!"
no subject
"...What just happened?" she asks aloud, more to the universe than to anyone in particular. Mainly because she hasn't noticed the giant, sand-coloured dragon yet.
