[ Yu let out a faint noise at that, a concerned look on his face. ]

That's... actually something to worry about?

[ Look, he was used to monsters and a cop that acted like an innocent nerd, not people actively trying to poison the food. He smiled again when he kept eating, though it was a little more uneasy than before, since he wasn't exactly sure this other Loki was enjoying it. After a moment, the oven dinged, and he took his attention away from him to tend to the stove. ]

You don't pay very much attention to the MIDs, do you?

[ Not unusual. There were some people he has met from times before his own who would rather not bother with technology--or so he assumed. He leaned against the counter languidly, simply passing the time.

Don't mind if he has a second brownie. ]

I do.

[ He didn't mind at all; that's what they were there for! ]

Has it been difficult for you since that post, Loki-san?

[ He looked a little confused. "Loki-san"? Er, alright he supposed. It's not something he is willing to question at the moment considering this person's question is even stranger. ]

Why do you care?

[ Somewhat of a pointed question. No, he hasn't had that much trouble but that's beside the point. ]

I just do. It had to be uncomfortable for you and Loki-kun.

[ It was the only way he was going to be able to keep them separate in his mind. The younger looking one was going to be Loki-kun, and the older looking one was going to be Loki-san. Besides, the reaction like that was the exact reason why he told Adachi he wasn't going to blab about what he'd done; it wasn't fair. ]

[ He shrugged, finishing off the second brownie and doesn't reach for another. No, now he's interested in eyeing some of the other pastries curious how they might taste but he refrains from picking through them. ]

You're either very naive, or genuinely concerned. Or both. [ Uncomfortable wasn't the right word for the situation. Loki cared, he always cared, how others saw him. The succession of posts were more humiliating than he might ever admit, more cutting than he predicted, and he still hasn't rationalized what he plans to do. How does one go about combating an established mentality toward his personality?

He settled on letting people think what they would despite being incredibly bothered by the whole ordeal.

My other self has little to worry about in way of his reputation regardless of what may happen. [ Talking about someone else is easier, especially with someone he doesn't even know. ]

[ Yu smiled faintly, pulling out the tray of tarts and setting them on a cooling rack. He paused, watching Loki looking around at the other treats he made. A moment passed, before he reached over to his red velvet cookies that had cheesecake frosting on them, gently nudging the tray toward him. ]

I think it will blow over eventually. We're all from different worlds and different times, aren't we? I'm sure people will realize that.

I'm not surprised.

[ Is this a trick? He thinks so when those cookies are presented with the perfect icing to go on top of them and he nearly smiles at the thought of having one.

His eyes drift down, eyeing which one has the most frosting. Yes, yes, the one on the left-- ]

I don't think supposedly invading someone's realm is something that blows over. [ He had the blandest tone as his gaze shifted back up to Yu. ] You're overly optimistic.

[ Go on, Loki; you know you want to. ]

Well... have you done that yet?

[ He really, really does. There is a second where he thinks he should just leave the pastries alone because this conversation is straying into topics he'd rather ignore but then he picks up two of the cookies a little too happy about them. ]

No, I haven't. Honestly, I don't recognize half the faces of the people trying so desperately to intimidate me into acting as they want me to.

Then you're not the same person they remember. You haven't gone through the same experiences that shaped you into the 'you' they know. They'll realize that eventually.

[ He smiled warmly, before turning his attention to the fridge, pulling out something rolled up in plastic wrap. Yu cut the ends off, revealing a cute, bear like pattern made from different colored dough. He started cutting it into small slices, laying them out on a new cookie sheet. ]

[ So matter of fact. Yu reminds Loki of Clara and Wanda a bit in their nonchalance over his future treachery. Maybe it makes those cookies taste a little better, or he has more of a sweet tooth than he is willing to admit. Volstagg might partake in all things food-related, but Loki only adopted a penchant for baked good from him. One-off luxuries he could enjoy every once in awhile when he actually remembered to eat. ]

Maybe. [ He murmured in between bites. ] You look a little young to be a full fledge baker. [ He says this after seeing the bear design. ] These certainly don't taste like a hobbyist is making them.

[ Oh look. A compliment he didn't mean to give. ]

[ Yu paused at that, surprised by the offhand compliment. He turned his head slightly, hiding a fond smile, before turning his focus back to the roll of Teddie cookies. ]

I've been cooking for myself since I was young, so being able to cook or bake for other people is enjoyable.

[ He turned that smile back to Loki. ]

Seeing people enjoy it is just as fun as doing the work.

[ Wait why was he smiling? Well besides the look of Loki pretty much overindulging in the two or three cookies he had anyway. Don't mock him. These are good and ....they might disappear later. ]

You should probably start finding some friends on the ship to enjoy it then. [ Why yes Loki just excluded himself from said group of people as if that somehow masks him lounging about trying pastries. Luckily his food his almost done. ]

Are you going to tell me your name since you already know mine?

[ He was smiling because he was happy; was it really so hard to see why? He peered at the tarts he had pulled out just before, before picking up a raspberry one and offering it to Loki. ]

Can a potential friend enjoy it, Loki-san?

[ A little considering the whiplash between people who very obviously did care about what he might do and those who vehemently felt otherwise.

Loki eyed the pastry before smirking. ]

I don't know, is it poisoned? [ He does take the tart anyway. Might as well sample it to make sure. It's not like he'll die either way. ]

[ Yu chuckled softly, going to grab his own. ]

Fairly sure it isn't.

[ He tilted it up to him, almost like he was giving him a small toast, before taking a bite. Mmm... raspberries... ]

[ The tarts weren't half bad. Raspberries weren't his favorite, and probably never would be, but he can't say it tastes horrible simply because he doesn't like them very much. ]

You don't strike me as the villainous type anyway. More like a homemaker.

Well, I've been accused of having motherly Expression before.

[ He grinned a bit at that, like he told some kind of joke that only he would get. ]

But I'm not; a 'villain', I mean. Unless you mean at basketball...

[ Then he'll do his best to make the other team eat his dust, sorry. ]

No, nevermind. He refuses to agknowledge that pun. ]

You're a little short for sports. [ Cue the worst smirk ever. No, Loki. Just because people are shorter than your stupidly tall 6'2" doesn't mean they're actually short. ]

[ Yu had the most wounded expression on his face, like Loki just murdered a cat in front of him. ]

[ Yu's pain shouldn't be funny but Loki broke into a laugh. ]

Awe, don't be so touchy. [ Everyone is inadequate compared to Loki. ] I suppose you're tall for a human--or humanoid. Whatever.

Human.

[ He has to admit it is really odd to see someone taller than him. Only person that managed that was Kanji, but he was only a little taller. Not stupid taller like Loki was. ]

...still not used to needing to clarify that.

Just because your realm is cut off from the rest of the galaxy does not mean nothing else exists.

[ Loki moves over to the oven to take out the glass pan he put in. At least it smells good so that recipe book was worth something, though it is entirely too paranoid of him to assume he should make his own food before someone gets the bright idea to poison him. ]

I know that. It doesn't make it any less unusual to hear that things we've only seen in books and movies exist.

[ Says the person that jumps through TV screens. ]

[ Yu paused a moment, glancing over to see what Loki was making. Oh... that... well, at least it smelled okay? He opened his mouth to offer to help him fix it up, but clicked it shut after a moment. No, no; if it was bad, it was only fair he find out instead of automatically assuming, right? ]
