[Exploring is how she kept herself alive on Jakku. Rey nods, and starts walking. After a few seconds, she adds:]

I'm Rey. This is BB-9.

[The droid beeps in greeting.]

[After just a few seconds, Rey is sitting up and huffing significantly less. She's always been quick to recover. At the comment, Rey allows herself a small, confident smile.]

I was a scavenger back home. I climbed a lot of starships.

[Rey hasn't been able to sense anything either, which is a little strange considering how much she's been training the past few months. Her grasp of the Force has grown stronger with each passing day--except it doesn't seem to be helping here. It's a little disturbing, but she's trying to ignore it.]

I don't know if everyone could make this climb. Or flight.

[He brings up several fair points; acid blood and extra mouths are definitely things that exist in some species across the universe. However, Rey is (slightly over)confident in her fighting abilities and will not let that scare her. Normally, she's more apt to run away from a threat like that--but her past few months of training with true Jedi have made her believe she can do better than that.

So, instead of a verbal response, she unclips the lightsaber from her belt and activates it. The blue beam hums and she gives the weapon a somewhat flashy spin. Without any more fuss, she sheathes the weapon and raises an eyebrow at him.]

I think I can handle whatever might be up there.

[Normally, Rey would hold the same kind of suspicions as him. But she had been too hungry and thirsty upon arrival to refuse any sustenance offered. And if they were going to try and poison them all or something, they would have already done it. So far, all she sees is people enjoying themselves and taking what could be a well-needed break from the bullshit that goes down on the ship and the places it visits.

So, she shrugs.]

[ Unfortunately, that recognition only goes one way. There are, of course, those moments he browses through the directory, but that's hardly the same as meeting someone face-to-face. A glance at the kid, and Steve's gives an understanding sort of nod at that. ]

I thought the same thing when they greeted us. [ Probably a little too much, if he's being honest. It's not something he divulges though, trying to settle a little more into the party. ] But it's not the strangest thing about this trip so far.

[ If he moves a little closer to her, he doesn't think much of it. There's not much to consider when it's Wanda, that he trusts her and likes her and hasn't seen as much of her as he should. As he wants to. Idly, Steve touches the fading scratch across his chin from where his face had met one of the walls once it had gone down with his free hand. ]

Me too. [ Being with her, at least. He shakes his head, smiling. ] There isn't any trouble to get into. You don't have to worry about that. [ Another pause, fingers curling around hers again, and he wants... something. Maybe to kiss her palm, tell her it's going to be okay. ] What about you?

[ Dutch lets out a snort of laughter and takes one last drag off of her cigarette. She drops it to the ground and grinds it into the dirt with her sandal. ]

You handled that spectacularly. Do you know you're the first person I've told about the shitshow that is my home?

[ She raises her eyebrows and smiles at him. It feels good to have let someone in on some of what she's been through. Of course, what she's told Jesse is barely scratching the surface. He's not her therapist, though, and she barely knows him. She'll hold off on venting the really painful stuff. ]

Armin drinks some more wine, not happily, but certainly with serious intent. "Though, putting it like that, yeah, I can see why you wouldn't think of yourself as being a marrying type. It just seemed kind of cute. Because that's the sort of thing you're supposed to want to do when you get old. By the way, I'm almost 17. I've done plenty of things lots of adults haven't done. Calling me kid is a bit much."

Similarly to Rinzler, he's been faintly feeling the urge to go check it out, but he tells himself in a repetitive mantra that it's fine. He's only going in for the sake of his fellow crew, maintaining a force on the outside so they don't get mired within.]

[Rather than respond with 76's identity, he turns his back briefly to map out the area they've already investigated to the best of his ability. In case anything might change in this suspicious as hell mist.]

There's nothing underneath her clothes that particularly surprises him, no. He looks pretty pleased that she joins him, actually, smiling as she makes her way over to him. He gets into the pool first, though, finding his footing before offering her a hand. ] Come on. I'll help you down.

[He has been mingling himself, taking in the experience of something so vibrantly new, different, and somehow pleasant in a way he cannot quite comprehend. Initially, he had wanted to attribute the matter to his human part, an indecipherable enigma that comes naturally, but as he spends more time genuinely losing sense of time, he begins to feel rather out of place. His mind tells him there’s something wrong, but he does not listen. It is enough to make him turn away, to try and find some peace amidst the fray.

The doctor’s voice interrupts his thoughts as he tries clearing his mind, but his concentration is a blistered thread. He knows he should try and grasp that moment of coherence, to empty out the fog that plague him, but his attention latches on to the doctor’s presence. Leonard is his friend, and this fact mutes the logic.]

Doctor. [He turns, mild expression on his face reflecting his physically relaxed state despite his inner conflict.] Your company would be greatly appreciated.

[He mind reels at his own lack of discipline, but even as his thoughts blur into a haze, he cannot stop himself from stepping closer, letting his hands fall to his sides, and...
