I N T R O L O G

r & r "Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us." The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and nothing is familiar. Shortly after, you are led out and toward the medbay. Inside this room, you are given a physical scan and offered a contract to sign that states you are now part of the crew of the Moira with a specific job. This process consists of a complete work-up of medical history and current health, and afterwards, you are given your MID, a device that is integrated into your hand with only the slightest pinch. From there, you are guided out of the medbay and to your living quarters. Having left Amissis-Re behind, tensions among crew members have continued to escalate into ship-wide consequences, and recognizing the need for some separation among those aboard the Moira, the Captains make the unanimous decision to deviate from their present course to a "nearby" planet that is notable for such popular distractions. While it is not a permanent solution, measures are being taken to monitor the crew's morale much more closely. New arrivals will be treated as they always are; yet, now, more than ever, it is important to stress the balance of working together toward their goal of reaching their destination so that everyone will return home. WELCOME TO COLLECTIVES ASH3 - BF3 - CLF5 The Collective is a paradise resort located far from any other neighboring planets to offer the most leisurely experience possible to its patrons. Artificially created for multiple uses, it is divided into separate locales interconnected with a tubing transport system that is so fast and efficient that it’s like being teleported to the next area. Extensive mapping can be found at various intersecting points to offer some direction, and there are even recognizable adverts from a very familiar stop months before spread out across the Collective. Whether looking to explore or to simply shed the weight of anxiety, there are plenty of opportunities to be found within ASH3, BF3, and CLF5. All crew members are given a card from the Captains that has an unlimited amount of credits on it. Organized through trade, these allow Moirans access to any of the luxuries that the Collective has to offer aside from the purchase of items considered weapons due to the escalation of recent events. Food, clothes, trinkets, or even a full spa experience—the limits, otherwise, are endless. The Captains emphasize that this is time to relax and take a break from the grind that is living and working on a spaceship as unique as the Moira. ☄ B.E.A.C.H! THE BEST ESCAPE ANYONE CAN HAVE! For those seeking a fun time, the Collective offers a variety of activities on ASH3. There are multiple beaches to enjoy as well as beachside kiosks offering drinks, beach toys and surf equipment for those a little more sports-minded. The tide washes in beautiful shells to collect, and there are always life-guards on duty to make sure everyone stays safe while enjoying their time on the beach. ASH3 offers a safe and friendly environment with plenty of fun in the sun for everyone. There is also a boardwalk full of restaurants, bars and plenty of games and entertainment for when you want to step off the sand but don’t want to give up being out in the sun.For those who can’t or won’t bear the sun, ASH3 also offers a thriving night life on both beach and boardwalk. There are midnight boat tours to view the bioluminescent schools of fish native to the island and bonfire dance parties that go long into the mornings. On the boardwalk, all shops are open until midnight as well as many clubs and social spots where crew can mingle with other tourists in the area. So you don’t like the sand. It’s too hot, and it gets everywhere. Then hop onto one of the many transportation systems, slip into some warmer clothes, and take to the slopes. More experienced crew can immediately dive in, but those who need help can take lessons on how to ski or snowboard. There’s hot cocoa, sleds, snowball fights, and the occasional person making a snow angel (or snow person). ASH3 also has areas for rock climbing, sky diving, base jumping, bodyboarding, canoeing, hang gliding, jetskis, mountain biking, hiking, and much more. ☄ WHEN I SHOP, THE WORLD GETS BETTER Not everyone enjoys shopping, but this Collective entices even the most frugal and reluctant into spending their credits here. In fact, the Captains are encouraging this. They give the explicit “order” to buy whatever you want for yourself and your fellow crew members, but more than that, to consider making purchases to better the ship. Is there any area of the Moira that needs spruced up? Maybe some fresh paint in the mess hall,or new furniture in the decks? Maybe some fancy curtains for all those windows on the observation deck, or a few throw pillows? New pots and pans for the kitchen might be something to add to this list as well as equipment for the rec area, or whatever else you think BF3 will have to help increase comfort aboard the Moira. To enhance your shopping experience, the technology here allows you to try on clothes without lifting a hand. The food here is an unlimited spread of gourmet dining to comfort food and every dessert you can think of. When you’re finished with your purchases, have all your packages and larger items delivered back to the ship for you. ☄ TREAT YO SELF The accommodations on the Collective of CLF5 are as unique as they come. Lodging is available for those who want to sleep in an environment that’s underwater or perhaps those who desire something as simple as a soft bed. No matter what kind of room you want to purchase for the night, it’ll be available here, and the only true limit is the imagination. When you aren’t relaxing in a hotel room, you’ll find that there are numerous spas and hair salons that offer varied services. Obi-Wan Kenobi | Star Wars | OTA

[ Rest and relaxation — poorly suited words to describe Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. It has its place, he'll admit that, but a portion of the enjoyment is born of leisure on one's own terms. When presented as a directive, any benefit born of these multitudes of conveniences merely settles on the surface of him, at risk of being stirred, at being brushed or blown away, never truly sinking in.

He's suspicious. Perhaps unduly, but if that's truly the case, Kenobi will have felt better for going through the process than blindly accepting this respite as anything more than a distraction. It certainly feels more look over here than it does job well done.

Cognizant of the tumultuous nature as of late, he keeps his concerns to himself, but those sensitive to the Force (or good at reading people) will certainly notice the slight uneasiness surrounding Obi-Wan as he moves from one area to another. If not, then surely the stiff demeanor will stand out in those situations that don't call for it.

He lurks around the beach, the slopes, and the shops, means to spend nothing of his limitless credit card, and generally observes. Dressed in his traditional Jedi attire he very much lives up to a statuesque funkiller.

But this is not the rule. Kenobi can be convinced of nearly any amount of enjoyment if plied appropriately. He's certainly not one to turn down a little harmless fun, just less apt than most to instigate. ]

[He must have received some kind of swimwear last month; the rest of them did. So the fact that Obi-Wan's skulking along the edges of the beach in his usual clothing is rather noticeable, especially to someone who knows him a little.

Leia strides out of the water, heedless of the sand that sticks to her feet as she walks over to him. (She is wearing her Moira-delivered suit, her hair bound back in a single braid looped up under itself.)]

Aren't robes a little warm for this weather?

[ A glance at Leia and he comes to similar conclusions about the swimwear. Just what about her, her wonders, suggested that particular attire? Why had the Captains (or whoever happens to be responsible for these sorts of things) decided on that particular swimsuit? It's not offensive, not any more revealing than what he's seen on others, but it's a curiosity nonetheless.

(To his credit, he doesn't immediately wrap her in his robe despite the desire to do so. It really doesn't do any good to coddle Leia, particularly because she's not his child [or a child], she consciously makes her own decisions [on her own behalf], and if her father [probably] doesn't have a problem with it, neither should he.) ]

Not too warm. The breeze here has been pleasant.

[ He bows shallowly in greeting, trying hard for casual and even, but mostly achieving wooden. ]

Have you been enjoying yourself?

[The suit is a little ridiculous by her standards--what's the point of making it one piece when there's hardly anything to it?--but it allows plenty of sunlight to hit her skin, and in the end, that's what matters most to her. She's not the slightest bit self-conscious, standing there before Obi-Wan.

A nod, at his question.] I've missed being outside. [When she can put aside the knot of worry that is her son, this is the most relaxing spate of time she's spent in years.] Have you?

Oh, as much as ever, yes.

[ His hands disappear into his sleeves and he very nearly becomes entirely encapsulated, save for the hood. If he could justify its use it could complete the look, but muck like Leia, he's enjoying the feel of the sunlight. ]

I haven't seen Han or Luke recently, but I trust they're well. And how are you?

[For a moment, her emotions falter, even if her smile doesn't. How she is, how she really is, is a mess. Ben Solo's small, bright-eyed face still haunts her thoughts daily, despite her efforts to distract herself.]

I'm fine, thank you. [She hasn't told Luke yet--she doesn't want to tell anyone before her twin. (Well, besides Han, naturally.) The thought that it could get back to her brother before she intended him to find out is an awful one; after everything Luke went through last month, the least he deserves is a nice vacation.] I'm not sure what Luke's been up to, but Han's been trying every bar he comes across.

[A little smile--focus on the joke, Obi-Wan, please allow yourself to be misdirected.]

[ Between the flutter in the Force and a lack of elaboration, it becomes fairly clear that Leia doesn't want to talk about whatever happens to be on her mind. Kenobi respects that, at least for the time being, although it does leave him to wonder if perhaps Han's stops at the bar aren't somehow related.

He doesn't find a joke to be amused over, but he smiles nonetheless. ]

Perhaps I'll join him if we cross paths.

[ A pause. ]

Have you been shopping? I suspect many people will be filling out their living quarters.

[Rest and relaxation are words suitable for Isha, given the right moments. Suspicious of this entire endeavor? Sure.

About to turn down a moment of rest after what she's been through in her own place? Absolutely not.

Isha is a human being capable of doing normal, lawful things, such as actually purchasing clothing as opposed to stealing them outright, like she'd been doing not too long ago. Between stores, the thief idly wonders if this is still something she's making up, or if this is actually real. Her mind wavers between acceptance and rejection of it all. For her own sake, she'd changed back into her leggings and sweatshirt.

Q-11 focuses on a robed man, cocking his head curiously. Discreetly, an alert flashes on her black round sunglasses.]

Well, aren't you appropriately bored?

[Isha is a short ways from the man, but she doesn't seem to be taking any level of subtlety or tact in her speech. This is because she, in fact, doesn't particularly care if he hears her or not.]

[ As it stands, he hears Isha and finds the comment curious. It inspires some amusement in him, but not enough that he laughs. ]

Apparently, if you think so.

[ Obi-Wan doesn't honestly know what the appropriate level of boredom would be for the Collectives, but he imagines it would take a long time to get them naturally. Thankfully, he's quite good at arriving to such places by sheer force of will. ]

Is that bothersome? I hadn't thought I could be such an effective wet blanket.

[Isha shrugs, with a bit of a smile.]

No, only an observation, really. I'm of that strange sort that possesses curiosity but not nearly enough imagination.

[Which is, in fact, not true, but it doesn't really matter here. Had she been actively trying to lie, it would be a little better than that.]

But I can imagine none of this is to your liking if you're so impassive about all of this.

The surroundings are fine, it's the circumstances that bother me. But I suppose I'm fairly alone in that.

[ Most of the people he's talked to haven't bothered to question this small amount of respite they've been offered. To Obi-Wan, it feels like an excellent distraction technique. ]

What's your name? I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi.

[This is one of the few confirmations she's gotten on this, that there's something more at play. If she chose to accept this as face value, as real, why would everyone, even those new to here, have so much at their disposal?

It was well and good to exploit it while it was valid, but then what?]

You're not. Isha Devan, at your service.

[Keenly holding out her right hand now, as opposed to her prosthetic left hand.]

Isha Devan. [ He repeats it as he shakes her hand. ] Good to know we're of the same mind in some things despite only just meeting.

Have you been shopping? I've yet to decide why they even bother with the cards. With the unlimited funds available, it feels as if they're just going through the motions.

[ Obi-Wan stands on the beach as if someone's almost forced him to be there. But Ava knows better, knows he's struggling, and she goes to join him down by the water where he stands. He might be meditating, and so she announces her presence with a gentle nudge in his mind, like a brush of her hand to his arm, as she goes to stand near him. She's dressed in a bathing suit with her hair tied up, a wrap around her shoulders from the cool night air. ]

I hope I'm not interrupting.

[ Obi-Wan often meditates, of course. She wouldn't want to take that away from him, especially if that is his way of unwinding. ]

How are you enjoying yourself here?

[ As a matter of fact, he is not meditating. With so many people around, he'd be lucky to accomplish such a thing, although it has less to do with the amount of people, and more to do with Obi-Wan's unbalanced state and continued nervousness over their peculiar directives during this journey.

Ava's appearance rings clear through the Force and he takes in a deep breath as if she might as well be cleansing the area around him. Her familiar presence puts him at ease and he wraps his essence around hers like a welcoming hug. ]

I've been... trying. [ A smirk. ] But not very hard.

[ Glancing in her direction, Kenobi offers a smile. ] You look pleased to be out and about. Have you been having a good time?

[ Since telling Obi-Wan her secret, she feels as if some of her own walls have come down. Here is something she can share with him, even if with no one else. Ava no longer feels quite so alone with him here. The Force wraps around her and her thoughts, and she so dearly wants to do the same for him. It's clumsy - she doesn't have the power nor the experience he does - but there is a distinct feeling of warmth and safety that she gives him through her thoughts in return. ]

You being down here just shows you're making an attempt.

[ And that's the truth. Ava pulls her wrap a little closer around her shoulders and gives him a similar smile. ]

I have been. It's restricted, of course, but this is so much closer to my home than I've been. It's been...comforting.

[ And better than the facsimile that she and Deacon went to. ]

What's holding you back, Obi-Wan?

[ He holds open his long robe to offer her the warmth. It's not something he would offer most, although he won't be bothered if she turns it down. ]

Only myself, as you well know by now. Change is... difficult.

[ What he really means is that reassessing his entire life is difficult. Particularly in matters of the heart. ]

Anakin brought me. He asked me to come or I think I might have stayed behind.

[bloodbinds]

[ There is some hesitation, most of it born of surprise, before Ava steps closer to him so she can stand in the drape of his long robe. It's not so chilly out but she prefers the closeness and warmth Obi-Wan offers, if only for now. It's more than she's had from everyone, and there's an overwhelming sense of gratitude she lets him feel...even if she tries to tamp it down just a little. ]

If I'd known you were avoiding coming down here, I'd have tried to coax you myself.

[ She'll need to thank Anakin...if and when she meets him. ]

You don't ever do this, do you? Take a day for yourself, relax.

[ But she feels that should go without saying. ]

It's a little hard to be hyper-vigilant all the time. [ Pot, kettle. ] The point of being here is to give yourself a reprieve.

[ It's hard enough to spend time with a person and not get to know them well. More so when there's a shared space, externally and somewhat internally, it seems. He wouldn't offer the same to many others, although perhaps Ava gets the impression he would.

Arm loosely held around her, he shields them from some of the wind swirling around the beach. ]

My life's not without leisure.

[ But he's not going beyond that for fear he might have to explain how that has essentially come to mean a trip to the bar with Anakin every couple hundred solar cycles. ]

But I'm curious what you'd suggest I do. Swim? That's been a popular topic. Someone else insinuated I should take up petty theft.

[Genos, while mostly made of metal, is still human-brained - and not many people are practically radiating impatience and anger the way Genos currently is. He seems calm enough, sitting on a boardwalk bench with untouched food beside him and a notebook he's loudly scribbling into. He's filling that notebook with angry, frustrated words. There's so much happening right now that he just doesn't know how to handle... he's grateful that Saitama is with him, but furious that the both of them were displaced from their worlds, and furious even further that he has to be more careful to not get utterly crushed in a fight if anything here is actually a threat. He's like a coil wound too tightly, and it shows when he shoots every passer by, including Obi-Wan, a mistrustful glare as if he were a feral animal.]

[ Considering the pulses of frustration traveling through the Force, Obi-Wan couldn't miss Genos if he tried. It's a familiar enough feeling — Anakin had often exhibited the same sort of output — but there's an unfamiliar edge that flares when he gets a cold look.

Instead of over-reacting, he tips his head and offers a small, calm bow of his head. He doesn't feel particularly menaced or moved, although he senses an opportunity here (even if he can't decide what that opportunity might be). ]

Good afternoon.

[ There's... not much to this person, is there? Physically speaking. What's left is concentrated in the mind from what the Jedi Master can glean through the Force. ]

[Genos turns his gaze away for a moment, before it darts back to glance at something he caught. His gaze settles on Obi-Wan's wrist, where the communication device is.] You're from the Moira. [Initial anger settles a little bit!]

Yes. I've been... observing the sights since we arrived here, but I reside aboard the ship.

[ Kenobi comes in closer, making it easier to have this conversation. ]

Are you not happy to be here?

I don't have the time to waste here. Even if they theorize that my home world is frozen in time, or that I will return to the same point in spacetime that I was taken from, it is still another day I spend here instead of hunting down my nemesis. Is that actually strange to see? [Most people seem to be enjoying their vacations, to Genos, which only makes him more dismissive.]

[ There's some hesitation here as Obi-Wan tries to decide how to answer. He doesn't completely miss the sentiment — he had been on the way to intercept his own nemesis when he'd been pulled here. ]

Not strange, no. Unfortunate, perhaps, that such things must come to pass. But not entirely uncommon.
