"I want the world to be fragile. There is no place to hide a dark heart."
☄ Step 1: Negotiate & Infiltrate With this part of the plan enacted, a small number of those who have volunteered to attempt negotiations have been heard by the Caducans and have been temporarily “invited” to board their vessel. However, due to this highly stressful situation, a portion of the offensive team have been asked to accompany them in order to disable as much of the opposing ship and its crew to force them to evacuate onto the Moira. Regardless of time and what reparations are offered, negotiations ultimately fail. The Caducans want the debt of their planet to be paid by the people of the Moira with their very lives. While boarded with the Caducans, they will attempt to incapacitate the negotiation party through violent means, and it will be the responsibility of this particular team to attempt disengage the Caducans’ ship to prevent it from attacking the Moira. However, despite all efforts to sabotage their systems, the ship itself shuts its primary units into Lockdown Mode. Meanwhile, back on the Moira, the crew must work to secure the ship against the incoming assault by the Caducans after having left their ship via emergency escape units. This means that some of the defense team will have disabled the gunnery to make it look as if the Moira is defenseless and secure the rest of the area with those on the offense team. There is no place for mercy; the Caducans will board the ship through the Cargo Bay. They are not interested in granting it to the crew after all the losses they suffered at Caducus Primary. The only choice will be to fight for their lives (kill or be killed) or find a way to lure the Caducans into the Ingress room to send them to some unknown place where they will no longer be a threat. The Captains have given all members of the crew leave to use whatever means necessary to protect both themselves and the ship’s systems from the invaders. Failure is not an option. |

Cargo Bay
Lifting her hands up in a defensive manner, Daisy used her power to slam them into the wall. And oops? They might've been knocked out because of it.
Terrible.
When they were down, Daisy looked over to Tony. Can just appreciate the fact this is the first time she's seen him in his suit in real life? Okay, snap out of it.]
Sometimes talking it out just doesn't work, does it?
[Another Caducan was behind him, which she quickly took out much in the same way she had the first time. When the ship wavered a little, Daisy realized she should probably ease up a little. Unless that wasn't her.]

[ He's never seen her powers at work - only heard about them, through Loki of all people - and certainly has no experience with Inhumans in general. It's alarming, particularly the residual shaking of the ship, but then he's rolling with it the same way he has to roll with Thor existing every single day of his life. ]
Not pulling any punches.
[ He doesn't sound like he particularly blames her, and probably isn't in a position to do so, as he hits another Caducan with a repulsor blast that sends them skidding across the bay floor. ]

THE FORCETEAMWORK WORKS.Ok maybe.
See here's the thing: just because Bucky Barnes is generally reluctant to participate in any sort of balls-to-the-wall violence doesn't mean that he won't do it, or that he'd roll over and let his ship be invaded (because somewhere deep inside is still that Brooklyn boy who went and got himself enlisted because fuck Hitler).
So he's here in the cargo hold with the one (1) crazy asshole in a red and gold suit of power armor, having temporarily forgone the use of tranquilizing invaders in favor of pegging one with a clothesline while he reloads his rifle. He's not too thrilled about the human chandelier up there, but whatever works, right? Tony's pretty handy with the fighting and blasting (and he wonders if he's somehow built on Stark Sr's research or if the spirit of innovation just runs in the family); he's very sure the floating car is a rough, rough prototype of the suit that Tony's got there. Not that Bucky can tell him without rousing a whole world of questions he doesn't feel up to answering just yet. Still, Tony's good, an agile, creative fighter who's got more than a few tricks up his sleeve, and Bucky's officially impressed.
He grunts at Tony's warning and steps aside when the man flies past him, hefting the rifle and clipping the next few invaders in the carotid arteries
because he's just that good, binch. It takes a few seconds for the potent cocktail of drugs to kick in, and Bucky steps over the body, trying not to stare too hard at the giant green monster in the cage. Glancing up at a particularly impressive stream of bathroom invective, he comments. ]The chandelier keeps yelling. [ A beat. ] What's the plan?
[ Because Bucky Barnes can be a team player when he puts his mind to it. ]
no subject
[ Let's be clear: there are only so many things Tony Stark is willing to endure, and that is not one of them.
Still, Tony's relieve to see Robocop has the chops to back up that distinctly militant-looking limb he carries around. He's alarmed for a moment when he first sees the rifle go up - cold-blooded murder seems a little extreme, even if the Caducans clearly aren't above it themselves - but then he notices the precision Bucky's shooting with.
Well, he'll be damned.
Letting Tony take the lead just earns him bonus points. ]
We need a blockade. See those crates? [ He points, indicating a stack of shipping crates not far from the entrance to the hold. ] I can bring those down. It won't stop them, but it'll buy us time. I need somebody to cover me; I won't be able to watch my own back.
[ Time to find out exactly how good of a shot Bucky is. ]

Cargo Bay
When he spots the red and gold suit flying around, he mistakes it for Genos a split second. He'll come in for support, grabbing the man Tony knocked aside in a smooth motion, like catching a basketball. He tosses the invader back towards Tony, the man slamming hard into one of his invading companions, the two knocked out in a pile.]
Throw me another one! [HE'S OPEN]
no subject
You know what, on second though... Tony's not gonna question things too closely. If Egghead's competent on the battlefield, that's even better for the rest of them. ]
Go long. [ It comes out dryly even through the speaker system, as he side-steps a Caducan charging him from behind, then gives the man a blast in the back to send him on his way. Kinda dickish? Yes. For sure. Fatal? No.
These fuckers deserve a few bruised ribs anyway. ]

I am currently immobile and located in what was formerly the mess hall. I will assist as much as possible if I can receive repairs on my own body.

hang tight
i'm coming
[ Tony lets whatever else he'd been working on slide to the backburner, heading for where he last recalls there being a mess hall. This is the first he's seen of the damage here, and it brings him up short when he turns the corner. What the hell?
But, given that the new room is pretty much entirely featureless, Tony spots Genos immediately and makes a beeline. ]
Hey. Can you talk?

And when they Cacuden crew invaded like they inevitably would, Peggy was right in the thick of things, exactly where she wanted to be.
She may have known about the Iron Man suit, but knowing about it was nothing compared to actually seeing it in action. She tries not to watch it too much, but she can't help herself-- and that actually saves her. She happened to be looking his way when they enemy is launched at her. She's able to dodge appropriately, before knocking him out with a good bash to the head.]
A little more warning next time?

Shit. Shit shit shit. Of course she's down here in the thick of the fighting. Where else would she be? She's the same brand of crazy as the rest of them, maybe even moreso. ]
Distributing the info as I get it. On your right!
[ He's already lifting a hand to blast the approaching soldier away from her, but it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that she'll get there first. She's Peggy Carter. ]

[riptide is a little surprised, having been trying to build a mini blockade. out of reflex, he whaps the poor guy sailing towards him out the air with a hand.
hard.
the caducan hits some of the crates and drops behind them - the noise he makes on impact makes it clear the guy's probably not getting up again.

The last person who would ever sort of care about anyone would be Isha Devan herself, and yet...
Q prods along silently, toting a bag of tools and supplies on both sides.]
Well, I haven't seen this sort of mess in a while.
[As always, she wears her sunglasses, though the lenses aren't quite so ink black. They're a storm gray tinged red, with markers and callouts in dim orange. Isha walks up to him, cautiously kicking aside tools.]
Move.
[Because she's going to sit next to him, and Q's circling to find a place to hunker down.]

Tony pulls his head out of the half-glassed control panel, arching an eyebrow as Isha sends some of his tools skittering across the deck. (He knew exactly where everything was in that chaos, thank you very much.) It arches further as he watches the mechanical dog settle down amid the engineering wreckage. ]

So basically...there's a ghost peeking through a doorway at Tony, gripping at the wall like it grounds him. It really doesn't. He wishes he could touch things like normal.
When Tony creates a mess of tools for himself, the ghost lets out an exasperated sigh, deciding that he'd done enough spectating. Seriously, buddy. You're a mess.]
You look like you need a breather.

mage and iron guy team up
Fast thoughts are happening!
[She quickly casts a barrier that the poor incoming guy hits and rebounds off with a rather nasty "thump" noise. But he's okay. Or at least she tried not to use lethal force. It's a bad habit to break though and she quickly drops her barrier to leap over to him and seal his body to the floor with a nice thick layer of ice.
Then she exhales slowly, releasing icy particles into the air, and leans against her staff for a brief second. Maker, this is harder than it should be. She knows her mana is low but this really hammers in how deeply she's been gutted due to her distance from the fade. Even easier battles with flying armor guys take a lot out of her.]
One down. Maker knows how many to go. At least a thousand based on our luck.

fighting somewhere? it could be the cargo bay, it could be elsewhere, we just don't know
He's hightailing it to the next piece of cover when he spots a Caducan about to shoot a Moira crewmember in the...well, nowhere good. He's only got a second to make this shot, so he raises his gun, aims, fires...and hits not exactly where he meant to. The Caducan gets hit in the shoulder—nothing lethal, but it knocks him off his feet and onto his side—directly onto his belt of incendiaries, in fact.
The resulting explosion only staggers Nate rather than knocking him down, but it also singes his eyebrows, and he quickly pats them down.]

You realize these people want to kill us.
[ Unlike Tony, Medusa really has no problems with lethal force. So many people have come to kill her over the years; at some point you cease to hesitate. She wouldn't mourn any fatalities. But the situation's already bad enough without slaughtering these people, so she wrenches weapons from hands, breaks arms or legs rather than necks when necessary, smothers a soldier against the wall rather than flinging him into it. They don't have to die, unless they choose to do so.
Spiders have eight arms, but Medusa isn't nearly so limited. Her hair expands, and nowhere is safe. ]
