"Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us."

The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and nothing is familiar. Shortly after, you are led out and toward the medbay.

Inside this room, you are given a physical scan and offered a contract to sign that states you are now part of the crew of the Moira with a specific job. This process consists of a complete work-up of medical history and current health, and afterwards, you are given your MID, a device that is integrated into your hand with only the slightest pinch. From there, you are guided out of the medbay and to your living quarters.

Having left Amissis-Re behind, tensions among crew members have continued to escalate into ship-wide consequences, and recognizing the need for some separation among those aboard the Moira, the Captains make the unanimous decision to deviate from their present course to a "nearby" planet that is notable for such popular distractions. While it is not a permanent solution, measures are being taken to monitor the crew's morale much more closely. New arrivals will be treated as they always are; yet, now, more than ever, it is important to stress the balance of working together toward their goal of reaching their destination so that everyone will return home.

WELCOME TO COLLECTIVES ASH3 - BF3 - CLF5

The Collective is a paradise resort located far from any other neighboring planets to offer the most leisurely experience possible to its patrons. Artificially created for multiple uses, it is divided into separate locales interconnected with a tubing transport system that is so fast and efficient that it’s like being teleported to the next area. Extensive mapping can be found at various intersecting points to offer some direction, and there are even recognizable adverts from a very familiar stop months before spread out across the Collective. Whether looking to explore or to simply shed the weight of anxiety, there are plenty of opportunities to be found within ASH3, BF3, and CLF5.

All crew members are given a card from the Captains that has an unlimited amount of credits on it. Organized through trade, these allow Moirans access to any of the luxuries that the Collective has to offer aside from the purchase of items considered weapons due to the escalation of recent events. Food, clothes, trinkets, or even a full spa experience—the limits, otherwise, are endless. The Captains emphasize that this is time to relax and take a break from the grind that is living and working on a spaceship as unique as the Moira.

B.E.A.C.H! THE BEST ESCAPE ANYONE CAN HAVE!
For those seeking a fun time, the Collective offers a variety of activities on ASH3. There are multiple beaches to enjoy as well as beachside kiosks offering drinks, beach toys and surf equipment for those a little more sports-minded. The tide washes in beautiful shells to collect, and there are always life-guards on duty to make sure everyone stays safe while enjoying their time on the beach. ASH3 offers a safe and friendly environment with plenty of fun in the sun for everyone. There is also a boardwalk full of restaurants, bars and plenty of games and entertainment for when you want to step off the sand but don’t want to give up being out in the sun.For those who can’t or won’t bear the sun, ASH3 also offers a thriving night life on both beach and boardwalk. There are midnight boat tours to view the bioluminescent schools of fish native to the island and bonfire dance parties that go long into the mornings. On the boardwalk, all shops are open until midnight as well as many clubs and social spots where crew can mingle with other tourists in the area.

So you don’t like the sand. It’s too hot, and it gets everywhere. Then hop onto one of the many transportation systems, slip into some warmer clothes, and take to the slopes. More experienced crew can immediately dive in, but those who need help can take lessons on how to ski or snowboard. There’s hot cocoa, sleds, snowball fights, and the occasional person making a snow angel (or snow person). ASH3 also has areas for rock climbing, sky diving, base jumping, bodyboarding, canoeing, hang gliding, jetskis, mountain biking, hiking, and much more.

WHEN I SHOP, THE WORLD GETS BETTER
Not everyone enjoys shopping, but this Collective entices even the most frugal and reluctant into spending their credits here. In fact, the Captains are encouraging this. They give the explicit “order” to buy whatever you want for yourself and your fellow crew members, but more than that, to consider making purchases to better the ship. Is there any area of the Moira that needs spruced up? Maybe some fresh paint in the mess hall,or new furniture in the decks? Maybe some fancy curtains for all those windows on the observation deck, or a few throw pillows? New pots and pans for the kitchen might be something to add to this list as well as equipment for the rec area, or whatever else you think BF3 will have to help increase comfort aboard the Moira.

To enhance your shopping experience, the technology here allows you to try on clothes without lifting a hand. The food here is an unlimited spread of gourmet dining to comfort food and every dessert you can think of. When you’re finished with your purchases, have all your packages and larger items delivered back to the ship for you.

TREAT YO SELF
The accommodations on the Collective of CLF5 are as unique as they come. Lodging is available for those who want to sleep in an environment that’s underwater or perhaps those who desire something as simple as a soft bed. No matter what kind of room you want to purchase for the night, it’ll be available here, and the only true limit is the imagination. When you aren’t relaxing in a hotel room, you’ll find that there are numerous spas and hair salons that offer varied services. Gold face masks rejuvenate your skin, the Ever Young™ Spa can make you look ten years younger with one treatment, and the mud baths are known across the universes for making you feel youthful and refreshed. If you’re looking for a new hairstyle or to relax, this Collective is the place for you to spend those hard-earned credits.

ski trip
[Anon really wasn't quite sure what to make of this new, apparently temporary, system. But in amongst all the strange sights were the semi-familiar forms of mountains. If nothing else, climbing up there would give him a chance to look at the overall design of the place.

A helpful local had told him the best way to the top of the mountain was to take a path called a "ski lift". The chairs for the lift look uncomfortably similar to the dangerous cargo conveyors on the Grid, and Anon makes sure not to touch them just in case. The supports, on the other hand, are the familiar combination of high up and nigh-inaccessible. Anon is walking along the cable between two supports when a noise from below startles him. He turns, overbalances reaching behind himself, and falls...

right into a pile of snow. He'd been worried about the height, but he'd never expected that the ground would squish and deform like that to absorb the impact. Was it still unstable? Anon tries to pull himself up, but the ground collapses under him again.

He's just gonna lie there for a bit, circuits lighting the snow from within as he tries to figure out how to escape.

[Kyoko doesn't like snow much better than any other kind of water. It's cold, it's damp, and snow always manages to find it's way into and under every single piece of clothing. If it weren't for the desire to make use of every last cent that she'd been given (and in turn, explore every avenue of spending money,) she wouldn't even be here.

After awhile, she sees something interesting in the snow. There's some sort of lights in it. Kyoko approaches with caution. Finding nothing of interest except something--probably some piece of machinery--squirming beneath it, she makes an attempt to step over it. Her foot falls a little short, and it'd be more accurate to say that she steps on the squirming pile of lights and equipment before promptly losing her balance.

She fumbles and waves her arms in an attempt to restore balance, but it's not long before she's joined Anon in the snow around him. She screeches, flips herself over, and sits up in the snow. The trapped thing is suddenly a lot more interesting to her. And suddenly a lot more of a person.]

Oi! What the Hell are you doing!?

(ooc: i wasn't 100% sure on this and pretty much just did it bc it seemed like it'd be funny, so please let me know if you'd like anything changed!!)

[Being stepped on is a new experience, one that Anon isn't sure he likes. He helpfully attempts to scramble out from under the intruder, but all it does is bring more snow down on both of them. By the time he gets a good look at the other and processes red (threat?) they've settled opposite him, seemingly non-hostile.

The question gets an exaggeratedly thorough look at the surrounding snow, followed by a silent stare directly at them. He was being stuck in this corrupted terrain. What are you doing?

You're the one who tripped me, y'know!

[Kyoko glares at the figure for several long seconds before finally seeming to accept the lack of response, at which point she releases an indignant huff of breath. It only takes a minute longer for her to find her way up and out of the snow, shivering as she dusts it all off and shakes her sleeves and pant legs.

When all that still doesn't offer any kind of verbal comeback, she finally offers his situation. It might just be a bunch, but she gets the impression that this one isn't human, so maybe whatever allows him to talk doesn't work in the cold. Or something. At the very least, he doesn't seem to have mastered the art of snow.]

... Don't tell me you're stuck.

[She huffs out another breath. She'll just have to beat an apology and proper compensation out of him later. For now, she'll just give herself more leverage against him. It should be worth it, probably... Besides, the sight of somebody stuck in the snow like a turtle on its back is just pathetic.]

Look, if you hold still, I can pull you out. But if this some kind of trick, I'll skewer you... I mean, messing a girl like that would just be seriously messed up, y'know...

[For all of her noisy grumbling, she seems to at least be true to her word: While she won't make much of an effort without confirmation, she'll at least start carefully pushing some of the snow aside.]

[He'll watch with curiosity at her reaction, but not much else. Tripping someone is pretty weak as accusations against him go. Also, possibly accurate?

Although he won't (can't) say anything, he is pretty much stuck. Not because he couldn't move the unstable terrain, but, well, he has no idea what would happen if he did. Surface collapse seemed likely. Would it collapse out from under him? Both of them? Anon doesn't know and for now it's better not to risk it.

At the offer of help, he nods back almost immediately. The threat gets another, not that Anon was planning anything. At least she knows the proper procedure for this terrain. Anon will watch intently as she manipulates the material, hoping to figure out how to deal with it on his own.

[The snow is pushed to one side, forming a pile being pushed over and dissolving into several smaller clumps across the snowy ground. It wouldn't do to have it collapse on them all over again. The crater that the two of them had created was proving to be enough of a hazard by itself.

When she can see Anon (or most of him, at least,) Kyoko crouches near him. She tilts her head to the right, then the left, punctuating the gestures with a conclusive nod. Her arms slide down under him, looking to scoop him up from the snow the same way that a knight might a princess, all while laughing in her mind at how far off she was from a shining knight (though with all that armor, it was impossible to prove that this guy wasn't actually a princess,) but the instant she starts to add his weight to her own she feels the snow start to shift and break beneath her. Her feet sink down several inches before she pauses to speak again, her face close to his helmet:]

You're sorta heavy, y'know.

[She cocks her head again, seeming to consider again. Somehow, she's not sure that just trying to help him up will solve the problem--or that he won't somehow wind up bringing down more snow on both of them. Neither of them have a good track record at this point. Leaving him isn't an option, either--there's no way she's going to admit to being defeated by snow of all things, nor has it dawned upon her that he might be able to get up on his own.

After another moment, her expression lights up once more, a light bulb practically visible above her head:]

Wait, I got it!

[Pushing the damaged terrain aside does help keep more from falling down, but Anon's not sure how it helps to stabilize the remaining ground. Unfortunately, the answer seems to be "not very well" when Kyoko tries to pull him up.

The comment about being heavy gets a surprised glance back up at her and a considering look down at himself. He hadn't thought of himself that way, but compared to the slight figure next to him, it does seems to match. Or maybe she's a non-combat function and any program would be heavy for her to lift. The lack of circuits makes it hard to tell.

Either way, he's still stuck. He pushes what loose snow he can reach aside while she re-evaluates, just in case it does help, and is thinking of rezzing up a lightcycle to try to outrun the collapse of the ground when she speaks again. He pauses, just having grabbed a baton off his hip, to look back at her. Any plan by someone familiar with this problem is probably better than starting a lightcycle halfway into the ground.

[Anon happens to land in front of a small, fuzzy goat monster dressed light winter clothing.]

AH-!

[Asriel falls butt first into the snow, staring at the figure in the snow. The glowy circuits are familiar, but they're not Rinzler's-

-it dawns on Asriel that the figure isn't getting up. The young monster scrambles up onto his knees.]

Are you okay?! Hang in there, I'll call someone in Medbay!

[At the concerned cries, Anon will turn towards the new person, trying to lift himself up enough to peer through the snow the movement knocks onto his helmet. That is not a standard render. But they clearly seem worried about him, so after a brief pause Anon will wave a hand up. He's fine. No need for repair.

He is, however, stuck. He'll demonstrate, pushing on a (carefully non-structural) part of the surrounding terrain and shoving, only for it to collapse under the pressure. The helmet acquires a hopeful looking tilt towards the other. Do you know how to get out of here?

[The sudden steep twist and plummet of lurching between two active map pointers was a known inconvenience of quick travel, on the Grid.

This--this--nouns defied classification for a micro, settled on bright brilliance, minimal temperature; known topography, unknown hazards: maximum--

Snow? They had snow here. It accrued sometimes, when there were stray data, little jots even smaller than bits...

Snow was not supposed to be wet.

And monitors were not supposed to just fall from their assigned superstructures and go flying past at speed, only to be stopped abruptly by snow.]

...Graceful.

[No. But in his experience, lying made programs feel better about their jobs, and that directly increased their productivity.]

Points for--velocity.

[He sure is extending a hand. Clearly his asset is in distress, and the solution is simple enough: remove from snow.]

[The first comment is ignored as Anon tries to adjust to his new location. With the second, though, he turns to the source and sees yellow and a familiar render. Clu.

And... he's offering assistance? Bad input from a threat who had repeatedly ordered Anon's derezz and he settles on trap. Not that Clu would need one with Anon stuck in crumbling terrain with no stable footing or room to dodge. But Anon needs to do something to reduce the other's advantage and give him time to evaluate the situation. So he shoves forward into the snow under the Admin, doing his best to bring down the unstable terrain and Clu along with it.
