Anon | Tron | ota
[Anon really wasn't quite sure what to make of this new, apparently temporary, system. But in amongst all the strange sights were the semi-familiar forms of mountains. If nothing else, climbing up there would give him a chance to look at the overall design of the place.
A helpful local had told him the best way to the top of the mountain was to take a path called a "ski lift". The chairs for the lift look uncomfortably similar to the dangerous cargo conveyors on the Grid, and Anon makes sure not to touch them just in case. The supports, on the other hand, are the familiar combination of high up and nigh-inaccessible. Anon is walking along the cable between two supports when a noise from below startles him. He turns, overbalances reaching behind himself, and falls...
right into a pile of snow. He'd been worried about the height, but he'd never expected that the ground would squish and deform like that to absorb the impact. Was it still unstable? Anon tries to pull himself up, but the ground collapses under him again.
He's just gonna lie there for a bit, circuits lighting the snow from within as he tries to figure out how to escape.]

After awhile, she sees something interesting in the snow. There's some sort of lights in it. Kyoko approaches with caution. Finding nothing of interest except something--probably some piece of machinery--squirming beneath it, she makes an attempt to step over it. Her foot falls a little short, and it'd be more accurate to say that she steps on the squirming pile of lights and equipment before promptly losing her balance.
She fumbles and waves her arms in an attempt to restore balance, but it's not long before she's joined Anon in the snow around him. She screeches, flips herself over, and sits up in the snow. The trapped thing is suddenly a lot more interesting to her. And suddenly a lot more of a person.]
Oi! What the Hell are you doing!?
(ooc: i wasn't 100% sure on this and pretty much just did it bc it seemed like it'd be funny, so please let me know if you'd like anything changed!!)

The question gets an exaggeratedly thorough look at the surrounding snow, followed by a silent stare directly at them. He was being stuck in this corrupted terrain. What are you doing?]
(ooc: I giggled, this is good.)

[Kyoko glares at the figure for several long seconds before finally seeming to accept the lack of response, at which point she releases an indignant huff of breath. It only takes a minute longer for her to find her way up and out of the snow, shivering as she dusts it all off and shakes her sleeves and pant legs.
When all that still doesn't offer any kind of verbal comeback, she finally offers his situation. It might just be a bunch, but she gets the impression that this one isn't human, so maybe whatever allows him to talk doesn't work in the cold. Or something. At the very least, he doesn't seem to have mastered the art of snow.]
... Don't tell me you're stuck.
[She huffs out another breath. She'll just have to beat an apology and proper compensation out of him later. For now, she'll just give herself more leverage against him. It should be worth it, probably... Besides, the sight of somebody stuck in the snow like a turtle on its back is just pathetic.]
Look, if you hold still, I can pull you out. But if this some kind of trick, I'll skewer you... I mean, messing a girl like that would just be seriously messed up, y'know...
[For all of her noisy grumbling, she seems to at least be true to her word: While she won't make much of an effort without confirmation, she'll at least start carefully pushing some of the snow aside.]

Although he won't (can't) say anything, he is pretty much stuck. Not because he couldn't move the unstable terrain, but, well, he has no idea what would happen if he did. Surface collapse seemed likely. Would it collapse out from under him? Both of them? Anon doesn't know and for now it's better not to risk it.
At the offer of help, he nods back almost immediately. The threat gets another, not that Anon was planning anything. At least she knows the proper procedure for this terrain. Anon will watch intently as she manipulates the material, hoping to figure out how to deal with it on his own.]

When she can see Anon (or most of him, at least,) Kyoko crouches near him. She tilts her head to the right, then the left, punctuating the gestures with a conclusive nod. Her arms slide down under him, looking to scoop him up from the snow the same way that a knight might a princess, all while laughing in her mind at how far off she was from a shining knight (though with all that armor, it was impossible to prove that this guy wasn't actually a princess,) but the instant she starts to add his weight to her own she feels the snow start to shift and break beneath her. Her feet sink down several inches before she pauses to speak again, her face close to his helmet:]
You're sorta heavy, y'know.
[She cocks her head again, seeming to consider again. Somehow, she's not sure that just trying to help him up will solve the problem--or that he won't somehow wind up bringing down more snow on both of them. Neither of them have a good track record at this point. Leaving him isn't an option, either--there's no way she's going to admit to being defeated by snow of all things, nor has it dawned upon her that he might be able to get up on his own.
After another moment, her expression lights up once more, a light bulb practically visible above her head:]
Wait, I got it!
this is super late, so uh, feel free to ignore?
The comment about being heavy gets a surprised glance back up at her and a considering look down at himself. He hadn't thought of himself that way, but compared to the slight figure next to him, it does seems to match. Or maybe she's a non-combat function and any program would be heavy for her to lift. The lack of circuits makes it hard to tell.
Either way, he's still stuck. He pushes what loose snow he can reach aside while she re-evaluates, just in case it does help, and is thinking of rezzing up a lightcycle to try to outrun the collapse of the ground when she speaks again. He pauses, just having grabbed a baton off his hip, to look back at her. Any plan by someone familiar with this problem is probably better than starting a lightcycle halfway into the ground.
Re: Anon | Tron | ota
AH-!
[Asriel falls butt first into the snow, staring at the figure in the snow. The glowy circuits are familiar, but they're not Rinzler's-
-it dawns on Asriel that the figure isn't getting up. The young monster scrambles up onto his knees.]
Are you okay?! Hang in there, I'll call someone in Medbay!

He is, however, stuck. He'll demonstrate, pushing on a (carefully non-structural) part of the surrounding terrain and shoving, only for it to collapse under the pressure. The helmet acquires a hopeful looking tilt towards the other. Do you know how to get out of here?]
procedure: jump (correct form: with both feet)
This--this--nouns defied classification for a micro, settled on bright brilliance, minimal temperature; known topography, unknown hazards: maximum--
Snow? They had snow here. It accrued sometimes, when there were stray data, little jots even smaller than bits...
Snow was not supposed to be wet.
And monitors were not supposed to just fall from their assigned superstructures and go flying past at speed, only to be stopped abruptly by snow.]
...Graceful.
[No. But in his experience, lying made programs feel better about their jobs, and that directly increased their productivity.]
Points for--velocity.
[He sure is extending a hand. Clearly his asset is in distress, and the solution is simple enough: remove from snow.]

And... he's offering assistance? Bad input from a threat who had repeatedly ordered Anon's derezz and he settles on trap. Not that Clu would need one with Anon stuck in crumbling terrain with no stable footing or room to dodge. But Anon needs to do something to reduce the other's advantage and give him time to evaluate the situation. So he shoves forward into the snow under the Admin, doing his best to bring down the unstable terrain and Clu along with it.]
