"I want the world to be fragile. There is no place to hide a dark heart."
☄ Step 1: Negotiate & Infiltrate With this part of the plan enacted, a small number of those who have volunteered to attempt negotiations have been heard by the Caducans and have been temporarily “invited” to board their vessel. However, due to this highly stressful situation, a portion of the offensive team have been asked to accompany them in order to disable as much of the opposing ship and its crew to force them to evacuate onto the Moira. Regardless of time and what reparations are offered, negotiations ultimately fail. The Caducans want the debt of their planet to be paid by the people of the Moira with their very lives. While boarded with the Caducans, they will attempt to incapacitate the negotiation party through violent means, and it will be the responsibility of this particular team to attempt disengage the Caducans’ ship to prevent it from attacking the Moira. However, despite all efforts to sabotage their systems, the ship itself shuts its primary units into Lockdown Mode. Meanwhile, back on the Moira, the crew must work to secure the ship against the incoming assault by the Caducans after having left their ship via emergency escape units. This means that some of the defense team will have disabled the gunnery to make it look as if the Moira is defenseless and secure the rest of the area with those on the offense team. There is no place for mercy; the Caducans will board the ship through the Cargo Bay. They are not interested in granting it to the crew after all the losses they suffered at Caducus Primary. The only choice will be to fight for their lives (kill or be killed) or find a way to lure the Caducans into the Ingress room to send them to some unknown place where they will no longer be a threat. The Captains have given all members of the crew leave to use whatever means necessary to protect both themselves and the ship’s systems from the invaders. Failure is not an option. |

[Of course it did, but Eggsy wouldn't be Eggsy if he could just outright agree that he'd be okay with Bruce putting his life on the line for him. He knows it's hypocritical, but thinking of Bruce getting hurt because of him is too much. He can't do that again. He's not sure he's even recovered from the last time.]
I don't want you gettin' hurt, yeah? Bruce I.. I don't want that. I ain't worth that.
[Eggsy glances away, face scrunched up.]
I just ain't.

[ He still remembers very well that Eggsy was all but ready to give his life so that Bruce could get away. He's never once brought it up nor reprimanded Eggsy for it either, because he's been there and done the same, so he knows. Some people are just that willing to give their lives for the people they care about, and that's alright.
Eggsy will just have to accept that Bruce is one of those people too. And what he did before, he will do again if he has to. ]
That's not for you to decide. You are worth that price to me, and you don't get to tell me otherwise.

I ain't ever gonna agree that my life's worth more than yours, yeah?
[His tone rises, anger a mask he wears to cover up the fact that the thought of losing Bruce again, because of Eggsy, is more than he can bear right now.]
What if you die and don't come back, huh? [His eyes well up, shoulders tense.] What if you don't come back and it's my fault?

[ Bruce's not angry, and he doesn't sound angry either. This is a pointless argument anyway, he knows, as neither of them will ever stop worrying about the other, and they'll always do whatever it takes to keep each other safe. Up to and including giving up their own lives. ]
I really don't need you to agree with me, here. It's what I think, and it's how I feel. The people I love are always worth risking my life for. That's final, Eggsy— [ He adds that before Eggsy can interject. ] There's nothing you can say to change my mind, or to stop me from doing it.

Sorry, yeah? I just, I never wanted you to get hurt or die for me. You might think I'm worth it, but I don't. You've got so much to offer this place, a lot fuckin' more than me.
[He scoots in, shoulders hunched inward, hands tucked down between his knees.]
Maybe we can have a truce. Neither us die for a while, okay?

[ Just like the worth Eggsy sees in him, which Bruce doesn't agree with himself. As far as he's concerned he's not worth anyone risking their lives for, but he also knows that's for Eggsy to decide. He knows he couldn't stop him from doing whatever he wants on that front, but Eggsy sure as hell won't stop Bruce from risking or even giving up his own life if it comes to that again.
He huffs in amusement at the last words, nodding just lightly as his lips quirk into a lopsided smile. ]
Sounds pretty great, actually. You've got a deal.
