"I want the world to be fragile. There is no place to hide a dark heart."
☄ Step 1: Negotiate & Infiltrate With this part of the plan enacted, a small number of those who have volunteered to attempt negotiations have been heard by the Caducans and have been temporarily “invited” to board their vessel. However, due to this highly stressful situation, a portion of the offensive team have been asked to accompany them in order to disable as much of the opposing ship and its crew to force them to evacuate onto the Moira. Regardless of time and what reparations are offered, negotiations ultimately fail. The Caducans want the debt of their planet to be paid by the people of the Moira with their very lives. While boarded with the Caducans, they will attempt to incapacitate the negotiation party through violent means, and it will be the responsibility of this particular team to attempt disengage the Caducans’ ship to prevent it from attacking the Moira. However, despite all efforts to sabotage their systems, the ship itself shuts its primary units into Lockdown Mode. Meanwhile, back on the Moira, the crew must work to secure the ship against the incoming assault by the Caducans after having left their ship via emergency escape units. This means that some of the defense team will have disabled the gunnery to make it look as if the Moira is defenseless and secure the rest of the area with those on the offense team. There is no place for mercy; the Caducans will board the ship through the Cargo Bay. They are not interested in granting it to the crew after all the losses they suffered at Caducus Primary. The only choice will be to fight for their lives (kill or be killed) or find a way to lure the Caducans into the Ingress room to send them to some unknown place where they will no longer be a threat. The Captains have given all members of the crew leave to use whatever means necessary to protect both themselves and the ship’s systems from the invaders. Failure is not an option. |
mage and iron guy team up
Fast thoughts are happening!
[She quickly casts a barrier that the poor incoming guy hits and rebounds off with a rather nasty "thump" noise. But he's okay. Or at least she tried not to use lethal force. It's a bad habit to break though and she quickly drops her barrier to leap over to him and seal his body to the floor with a nice thick layer of ice.
Then she exhales slowly, releasing icy particles into the air, and leans against her staff for a brief second. Maker, this is harder than it should be. She knows her mana is low but this really hammers in how deeply she's been gutted due to her distance from the fade. Even easier battles with flying armor guys take a lot out of her.]
One down. Maker knows how many to go. At least a thousand based on our luck.
fuck yea son
[ Tony's watching Hawke work with a morbid fascination, even as he blasts his own incoming trio of Caducans. Pulling punches is, in fact, far more challenging than just going for the kill. You'd think they'd appreciate it a little more, but since they're all here for murder, not likely. ]
You're not about to hit the hangover phase, are you?
[ THAT WOULD BE REAL INCONVENIENT RIGHT NOW. ]
no subject
[She casts another spell that slams a large amount of Caducans violently into the ground and holds them there as though the gravity in that space has suddenly become warped and heavy. When the spell lets up, none of them are left standing.
Hawke exhales slowly and leans on her staff for a second, but only a second. The cajoling is just the extra push she needs to show she isn't as tired as she looks. She's not hitting the "hangover stage" but this sure is taking a lot out of her.]
Not yet. I'll give you warning if I do. But even then, I've had enough hangovers that I've learned to valiantly push through.

Don't worry. If you swoon, I solemnly swear to princess carry you in a very demeaning fashion where as many people can see as possible.
[ Said conversationally, while he does his wholesale property destruction. ]
no subject
Well now that's just needlessly. And here I thought we were getting along and throwing quips like new friends in a strange new world. What could I have done to deserve such ire?
no subject
Whatever. ]
The princess carry is a friendship special, actually. Ingrate.
[ Without missing a post-quip beat, he rounds on one of the Caducans Hawke just downed, as the man reaches for his weapon despite the nasty wound in his thigh. His blast hits the gun, sending it skidding across the floor in multiple pieces. Nice try. ]

[Hawke then twists around and casts another spell rendering that Caducan and a few others in a small vicinity into a deep sleep. The ones that aren't down immediately drop their weapons and pass out. One of the guns slides across the floor towards Hawke and she gives it a nice whack with her staff blade. Those things are nasty. She's ever seen anything like it.]
