[Wanda grins. If the house is cheating, then it doesn't count as abusing her powers to even the odds a little bit, does it?]

It might be easier than you think.

[She flashes him a grin. She won't say it, not when someone else might overhear them, but she's totally got your back on this, Miles.]

[ miles's grin sharpens and he adjusts his hold on the rifle, weighing it in his hands. ]

Projectile weapons. How quaint.

[ he turns swiftly to point it at the doubtlessly rigged targets and takes three carefully-aimed shots -- he's already a decent enough marksman, even if he's far more accustomed to energy weapons -- but the boost from wanda's powers certainly doesn't hurt. the bbs ping neatly off each target, knocking them back, and miles pulls back the rifle with a triumphant smirk, blowing off imaginary smoke from the top of the barrel. the person manning the game looks a little sour about it. ]

I'd call that a victory, wouldn't you, Wanda?

[This game is totally rigged. Two of the targets don't want to slide back even at a direct hit, but Wanda senses the resistance and twitches a finger to "encourage" them.

Take that, Cheater Booth Man. Her grin is a little sharp.]

A complete victory. [He gets the gist of it and hands her a wad of tickets. Excellent. One step closer to that dragon, but not quite enough.

Wanda glances around. What about that skee ball contraption?]

That one can't be bad.

[ miles snickers at the game runner's sour expression and falls into step next to wanda, shoving his hands in his pockets. he nods at the skee ball. ]

Oh, that thing? You might even be able to win that without your powers, depending on how heavily it's rigged. Sometimes they're not bad at all.
