[That has Bumblebee pause. It's mostly because he's never really... thought about it. Or even had to. The war was over long before he was even online, and it's just been a thing.]

Nobody starts a war for fun. We started a war because Cybertron was run by a corrupt, caste-ridden dictatorship, and the oppressed had finally had enough of it.

No. I mean the ordinary citizens who were forced into jobs or positions that they didn't necessarily want based solely on their alt modes. I mean the people who were discriminated against based on how they were given life. Definitely not the Autobots.

[Bumblebee blinks. Because wow. That's not really something he knew. He just figured that the Great War was... caused by something else. Megatron deciding he wanted to be king or something. That's what it seemed like now anyway.]

I mean... the war ended millions of stellar cycles ago! [And maybe he fell asleep during all his classes.] It's not like I need to know all this stuff.

The war only ended a few years ago.

Uh, no, it was over before I was even a protoform.

...Okay, so one of three things is happening right now. One, you're just really stupid. Two, you're from the future. A future where nobody knows anything. Or three, alternate dimensions or something. Because the war absolutely just ended and I was right there for it.

Uhh, no. Where I'm from the war ended when all the Decepticons got destroyed. Or, well, they scattered or something. We totally thought Megatron was dead up until he tried to steal the All--our cargo. [NOT GONNA SAY ALLSPARK TO A DECEPTICON]

The only mech I know who fought in the war is Ratchet, and that's because he's millions of years old.

Uh huh... I'm leaning towards alternate universe theory. Our war just ended a few years ago, Megatron's become an Autobot, which is honestly still insane to me, but whatever, and most of us are several million years old.

I wish, but no. Megatron really is an Autobot. I don't know how sincere he is about it, but it's true. He's even captaining his own Autobot ship now.

[Starscream bullshits a lot of things but this much is 100% stupid fact, and he doesn't look too pleased about it.]

[He stares up at Starscream for a little moment before turning around and just walking away.]
