Of course we're a race! We come from the planet Cybertron! [He seems to be baffled that she would even think that he's not an autonomous robotic organism from another world.

But he quickly forgives her. It's not like Earth had been any different.]

I think most planets do that? When we got to Earth we thought all the organics were the mechs pets! And it was kinda the other way around with Sari and Sparkplug.

But I wasn't made by any human! Okay?

...Okay.

[In all honesty, she's not convinced that's necessarily the case--the idea that inorganic droids repopulate on their own still seems ludicrous to her--but Bumblebee is serious about it, and Leia's not about to question his very origins. She gives him a smile, reaching out to touch his arm for a moment.]

If you're familiar with Earth, then we're from different galaxies. [The fact that she hasn't heard of a race or droid model called Cybertronians only reinforces that fact.] I'm from a planet called Alderaan; I'd never heard of Earth before I was brought to the Moira.

[His optics blink curiously at her.] But you're human, right? I though all humans come from Earth...

[Now you've confused him.]

Humans come from Coruscant originally. [The idea that another planet would be their origin is a little baffling to her. Coruscant is the cradle of humanity, and even now, it's one of the most important worlds in the galaxy.] I'm sure some of them found their way to Earth, long ago, but it's not where we started.

[Bumblebee frowns, trying to search his processor if he'd heard of a planet called Coruscant. He's not surprised that he doesn't find anything--it's not like Cybertronians are really allowed to go on organic life form planets. That's usually a big no-no. They're only allowed to stay on Earth because of the Decepticon activity.

Bumblebee decides he's sick of staring down at Leia and actually plops himself down on the sand next to her so they're more eye-level.]

Huh! I didn't even think humanity had been around for that long. The humans on Earth haven't built anything that can get them into space, anyway.

From what I've heard, Earth's a pretty primitive plae.

[Leia gives him a little smile--now that they're closer to eye level, she won't end up with a crick in her neck.]

I don't know where my galaxy would be without space travel. We've had it for thousands of years.

casually asks a woman her age

[That word causes a little whir of confusion.] Plae?

[the more she talks, the more confused he seems to get.] Thousands? Wow! That's longer than I've been online for... That's...

[A long pause.]

Wait, have you been around for thousands of years too?
