"I want the world to be fragile. There is no place to hide a dark heart."
☄ Step 1: Negotiate & Infiltrate With this part of the plan enacted, a small number of those who have volunteered to attempt negotiations have been heard by the Caducans and have been temporarily “invited” to board their vessel. However, due to this highly stressful situation, a portion of the offensive team have been asked to accompany them in order to disable as much of the opposing ship and its crew to force them to evacuate onto the Moira. Regardless of time and what reparations are offered, negotiations ultimately fail. The Caducans want the debt of their planet to be paid by the people of the Moira with their very lives. While boarded with the Caducans, they will attempt to incapacitate the negotiation party through violent means, and it will be the responsibility of this particular team to attempt disengage the Caducans’ ship to prevent it from attacking the Moira. However, despite all efforts to sabotage their systems, the ship itself shuts its primary units into Lockdown Mode. Meanwhile, back on the Moira, the crew must work to secure the ship against the incoming assault by the Caducans after having left their ship via emergency escape units. This means that some of the defense team will have disabled the gunnery to make it look as if the Moira is defenseless and secure the rest of the area with those on the offense team. There is no place for mercy; the Caducans will board the ship through the Cargo Bay. They are not interested in granting it to the crew after all the losses they suffered at Caducus Primary. The only choice will be to fight for their lives (kill or be killed) or find a way to lure the Caducans into the Ingress room to send them to some unknown place where they will no longer be a threat. The Captains have given all members of the crew leave to use whatever means necessary to protect both themselves and the ship’s systems from the invaders. Failure is not an option. |

miles is hardly big enough to carry anyone, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to just leave her there. the little man of only 4’9 still manages to hook his arms under daisy’s and drag her all the way to the medbay, ignoring his aching back screaming in protest. he’s breathing hard by the time he manages to get daisy to the medbay, his uniform top rumpled and untucked, revealing a brief flash of glass underneath, but he’s focused entirely on daisy, who’s out cold, a thick trickle of blood running from her nose. ]
I’m fine, look — it’s her I’m worried about. Something happened when the Ingress went all…when that happened.
[ he knows that what happened with the ingress was well beyond his control, but he can’t help but feel vaguely responsible. dammit, they were supposed to have a real plan… ]

Thankfully, she was unconscious because whenever she woke up she was going to be in a world of hurt. As was everyone, honestly. There was no time to just sit down and calm down. It felt like days upon days of a non stop battle.]

You still look like you could stand to sit down for a moment. [ He said in a flat, firm tone, aimed at Miles, even as he walked towards where Daisy was now settled.
Miles might find a chair being pushed closer in invitation; or perhaps in response to the doctor's words. ]
Were you with her when she lost consciousness or did you find her this way?

[ miles is panting a little as he says it, teetering slightly on his feet despite the leg braces, but he's a stubborn jackass. he tugs the hem of his uniform top down and wipes the sweat from his forehead, looking anxiously at daisy. ]
I was with her. It was the Ingress, that -- whatever it was. I think the vibrations it sent out played hell with her powers.

She remembered being near Miles but after that she couldn't remember anything else. She could hear him talking to someone though, so she wasn't as panicked. Opening her eyes again, Daisy turned her head in the direction of his voice but her vision was swimming and it was hard to focus.]
Miles? What happened?

[ He suggests (orders?) with a point at the chair that has now appeared. He saw the sweat and the teetering. At least Adrien's fairly certain he can peel Miles off the floor if he has too (as opposed to say a Cybertronian) but he can't tell if the man has any glass cropping up anywhere; a fall could shatter it.
He does nod in response to the information the man provides and is pulling down scanning equipment when Daisy appears to come too. Alright, she appeared to have recent memory awareness, that was good. However, it wasn't going to keep him from rudely answering the question she posed to Miles. ]
Daisy. You had an episode and are in the Medbay.
[ Miles was also more than welcome to give a response of his own ... from the chair. Doctor could be a stubborn ass as well. ]

Something diddled the Ingress and it went all funny, sent out some kind of blast pulse. I think the vibrations must've messed with your powers something fierce, because you dropped like a sack of very fine potatoes. I managed to get you to the good doctor here, but I had to drag you. [ he gives her a rueful but still manicky smile. ] Sorry.

An episode?
[Her brain was trying to connect the words and what he meant by that, but her mind was too fuzzy right now to fully understand what he meant by that. The way Miles squeezed her shoulder, though, that got an immediate reaction out of her.
Gasping at the sudden pain, Daisy's eyes shot open in response. She half paid attention to what Miles as telling her as she reached up to try and shove his hand off of her bad shoulder.]
Did you drag me by the arm?!
[She is thankful...Just not right now because ow.]
no subject
At the exchange, he snorted, arms crossed over his chest. ]
I did warn you it would be susceptible to future dislocation.
IM SO SORRY I KEEP MISSPELLING HIS NAME
By both arms, yes -- what was I supposed to do, drag you by your feet? I couldn't exactly carry you... [ he winces, looking supremely guilty. ]
no subject
Well I'm glad this is so funny to you.
[She's about two seconds away from puking, and honestly? She wouldn't feel sorry if some of it ended up on Adrien. Still, she's trying not to throw up in the first place. Closing her eyes again, Daisy presses a hand against her face.]
Thanks for getting me out of there.
It's alright!! It's a screwy spelling, I realized 6 months into playing him /o\
At the moment he glanced between the two, wincing in sympathy as Daisy struggled not to lose her cookies and Miles looked ... abashed? ]
In this case I have to agree with the gentleman. Dragging you by your feet would have further risked your head and a possible concussion. The arm is easier to fix; even if currently it probably feels quite unpleasant.
