[ ... The door that doesn't open, of course. Tony hauls himself out of bed with a world-weary sigh and pads his way after the kid, quickly resigning himself to babysitting duty. Worse things could happen, probably, and the constant flux of the past few days tells him this will probably wear off sooner rather than later.
Still.
He watches Adrien scowl for a moment, then realizes he's trying to work out the solution to the door. It's a wall panel well above his current miniature stature, so it's no wonder he's having trouble. ]
Sorry, kid, you must be this tall to ride.
[ Tony taps just above the panel to attract Adrien's attention to it, but doesn't activate it. Instead he just scoops him up from under the arms so that he can hold him at eye level with the panel.
Nope, no handouts here. He wants to see Adrien work it out himself. ]
C'mon. Nobody'll mind if you cheat the system a little.

Luckily for everybody involved, Tony came to the rescue before any climbing activities were initiated. Adrien was light, extremely light even for a smol and he dangled passively in the grip, despite most smols wanting to be a little more secured when picked up.
At the adult's prompting, he glanced over a small shoulder at Tony before giving a nod to indicate he understood. Leaning over in Stark's hold, small hands landed on either side of the panel as Adrien explored the puzzle.
Even as a child, someone had loved a puzzle.
Tiny fingers began to try to work the panel, tapping it but then pulling back as the door beeped imperiously at him. He gave it more consideration and then another attempt; more beeping. Rather than getting upset, whiny or impatient (and given the need to leave the room you have to give him props for this!) the child pushed back to consider the entire door and frame, blue eyes going over every inch of the panel.
After a bit of consideration he looked back up into Tony's face, pointing at lights atop the panel. ]
Lock.
[ One of them must have thrown the lock before passing out. Usually when sleep finally overcame insomnia it was a case of not wanting to be surprised by someone stumbling into the wrong room. ]

His eyes follow Adrien's pointing, and after a moment (it's early, he's tired), he smirks. ]
Yeah, you don't remember being a paranoid asshole yet. Figures.
[ He shifts his grip on the toddler so that he can press his thumb to the panel and disengage the lock. The lights turn green, indicating the door is now free to be opened. ]
All yours, pal.

He studied the panel one more time and then his little fingers worked out the process of getting it to click, the door whooshing softly as it opened.
Turning back to Tony, the child was smiling broadly, obviously quite pleased with himself. But rather than wriggling to be let down he pulled himself back up against Tony's chest and set his head down on the adult's shoulder.
He still had to go to the bathroom but, uhm ... Tony's legs were longer and the man was warm. As opposed to space, which was cold. ]
