She's not big on holding hands, and would be angry if someone approached her and just took hold of her hand. But not wanting people to pair off and leave her behind, she grabs her chosen partner's hand firmly and looks them in the eye.]
Come with me.
[It's more a plea than a demand, but her eagerness to see home again is still there all the same.]
[ooc: Cassandra is more likely to go to people she already knows, but new cr can be grabbed as well! If you'd like to plot out whose world they end up in - contact me at

[Ahab looked at Cassandra and wondered where she was going to take them both. Back to her home? Would it be filled with zombies and zombie dogs? He had his tranq and a hand gun on him, so could help fight if need be. Hopefully, they wouldn't get attacked as soon as their feet touched ground again.]
Alright. I'm ready for this.
no subject
[Her voice is determined as she answers him, and doesn't hesitate any further in dragging him over toward the way back. She lets go of his hand as they reach the edge, and she offers him a slight smile.]
You better be ready. We'll probably have to hit the ground running.
[And with that, she leaps first, knowing he'll follow.
The location they land in seems relatively calm. It's a run down and deserted little town, something that might look quaint if it were anywhere else. The second Cassandra's feet touch the pavement and she takes a step forward, the sound of z's approaching becomes noticeable. She's not too worried about them, though. She's more concerned with making sure her partner makes it here with her in one piece.]
no subject
Nice place.
[He couldn't help but try and make light of the situation, even though zombies could be around any corner. Snake levelled his gun up to eye level and was ready to defend himself if need be.]
It always this quiet?
no subject
[She thinks to when the z's attack, and the noises that go along with it. She knows they're likely around here somewhere, so she starts quietly walking and when she speaks again, it's in a whisper.]
Trust me.
[They don't walk for too long before there's the sound of rustling off to the right. Since he's the one with a gun, she signals for him to wait. A zombie comes charging out of a nearby alley, and she motions for him to shoot. Hopefully his weapon is quiet, or they'll be drawing attention to themselves.]

We gonna see those zombies?
[She's not going to argue about going, Kobra's not around yet and she can wait when it means she can go to her own world. She's got some things to sort out before she hits sand again anyway.
If anything, she's more curious about what Cassandra has told her about this flesh eating infestation than rushing toward the portal for herself.]
no subject
[It's 100% irresponsible and reckless of Cassandra to be bringing the girl along with her, but she's not about to turn down someone that wants to accompany her. Besides, she knows she's a good fighter and would die to protect the kid. So they don't have anything to worry about, she's sure of it.]
You've fought things before, right?
no subject
[She frowns, reaches into her ever present pack and pulls out the shard of broken metal she'd taken from the prison. She flashes it at Cassandra, face pulled into a scowl.]
I know what I'm doin'.
[It's not really an answer.]
no subject
Let's go, then. You go ahead and hop in first, and I'll follow.
[Smiling, she gives the girl a gentle nudge, more playful than anything.]

All right, if— that's what you want.
[ He wasn't intending to go right away, but he's not about to send her with a stranger. ]

Thank you.
[She's good at showing her gratitude at least. Deciding to take the lead, she pulls her hand out of his, and makes the move to head through the portal first. When she comes out on the other side, she's a little dazed as she looks around. She takes instant notice of the fact that this place sounds and smells like home. There's the stench of death and rot in the air, that's only amplified by the summer heat. She had almost forgotten about the sound the z's made while moving around, with the crunching of dry and dead grass under their shuffling feet. It was a comforting sound in some sick, twisted way. It made the issues she was having with being homesick leave at once.
They're in the middle of nowhere, in the heat of the day, judging from the way the sun was beating down upon them. And of course, just their luck, z's were doing their best to hurry toward them, having caught the scent of fresh meat. She moves to pull her knife out from where it's concealed, and she holds a hand out in front of Obi-Wan as a signal that she'll protect him.]
We need to get out of here. Are you good at running?
no subject
I'll do well enough.
[ He could run a full day if he needed. Likely more. He could carry her just the same. He turns to Cassandra, his heart already hammering away in his chest. The Force is chaotic here — strangely debilitating in some way that Kenobi can only call unnatural. Any attempt to arrest the shiver crawling up his spine is met with opposition. His hand hovers over his lightsaber as he watches their rear. ]
Which way?
no subject
There's a truck at the far end of the field over there. If we can get inside and I can get it started, we'll be okay.
[It's a good distance away, definitely something that will cause someone to be winded at an all out sprint. She looks over her shoulder at the truck, and hopes it still has gas in the tank.]
Go!
[She waits for him to take off first before chasing after. The zombies here are really good at running fast, sos he continually looks over her shoulder while running to make sure they are in any danger of being grabbed.]

All right.
[He doesn't enjoy the fall, but the landing is soft. He'd chosen these white leather sofas partly for their comfort.]
[OOC: The best look you'll get at this room is in the first few minutes here.]
no subject
So this is your...home?
[She looks around, before going to sit on the edge of the sofa. Near him, but not so close that it might feel uncomfortable.]
It's so quiet.
no subject
It must be late. It's not my... well, I suppose it was at the time. It's just an office.
[He sits up a little, and the screens catch his eye. Each one is blank, pale grey with a big L in an Old English typeface on it, except one, which monitors what looks like an empty hotel suite.
His gaze flicks to her, then settles there.]
You fell. You're all right?
no subject
[She's quick to reassure him of that, because the less attention paid to her less than graceful entrance, the better. Her eyes look around the room, taking in the screens. She notes the L, and glances over at him to inquire about it.]
What's the name of the place you work?
[Or worked. It might be hard to feel like a present tense situation if he's been away for a long time.]
And do you think there's useful supplies here? When Luke took me to his home planet, we were able to bring something back with us.
[A couple of questions in a matter of seconds, but she figures they're both useful.]

Ah! Are we going to Earth?
[He asks excitedly, agreeably taking her hand. It's strange how small her hands are, as Tailgate's never held an organic hand before. For a moment, he feels nervous about accidentally crushing her, but he reminds himself that it's easy to be gentle.]
no subject
[She's experienced some various results of this portal hopping, but figures that it's worth a shot to try and get back home. She still needs to try and leave a message for her group, but hasn't quite ended up in a place where there's the opportunity for her to do so. Maybe this time will be different though, she hopes, and she pulls away from Tailgate so she can move through the ingress first.
She ends up on the other side in the middle of what was once probably a bustling city. She glances around at all the broken down buildings and the destruction, and turns just in time to see a hoard of zombies dressed up as various forms of Abraham Lincoln coming in close.]
What in the hell...?
[Utterly perplexed by the fact that there's so many presidential zombies, including one that's dressed up as a penny, she looks around. Her eyes fall on a nearby school bus with a hand drawn banner on it that reads Abraham Lincoln Look alike Contest. Figuring that explains it, she just shrugs.
She's really not too worried about Tailgate being here. He can't exactly be bitten and turned, and he's likely large enough to just punt any z's away from them.]
You're good with fighting undead things, right?
no subject
Nope! How about, instead of fighting them, you get inside me and we can bravely drive away from this. Don't ask me to run them over, because I am not picking dead fleshling out of my joints.
[The car pauses, horrified for a moment.]
Oh! I'm sorry, I meant human, not fleshling. I didn't mean to be offensive.
no subject
[She softly laughs, almost in disbelief at what he's just said to her. As she moves to hurry into the driver's seat, she takes notice of the fact that the zombies are closing in around them. If they don't get moving, he's going to have to run some of them over to get them out of the way.]
Unless you want me washing fleshling off of you, it's time to get the hell out of here. If they get any closer, you won't have any choice but to run them over.

[He's not really arguing the point. He doesn't pull his hand away, and it's not given with the inflection of shock. All he wants to do is confirm a point. He understands wanting to go back home, even if "home" isn't exactly the most pointedly desirable place to be. But if they're doing this, it's time he knows what that entails.
He nods, small, short, and sweet. To the point. If this is what she wants, it's what she wants; he's not really one to judge. (He might anyway.)]
It would be stupid to let you go alone. How does this...work?
[
Just shove him in, he'll figure it out.]no subject
[It's what she had asked the network about over her MID just a week or so prior to arriving here, and the timing of this is too convenient for her to pass up. It's almost as if it was meant to be, or some sort of fate bullshit, and she's got a letter written and tucked away to leave out for 10k or Murphy to find.
So she's eager to get back and give it a try. So she gently shoves him right through the portal, hopping in right after. She manages to touch down first somehow, and looks around to take in the sight of what was once a bustling city. Everything's run down and trashed, and while there's the familiar sound of z's shuffling and groaning in the distance.
Ah. Home sweet home. She looks over to Anakin, holding an arm out so he doesn't try walking ahead of her.]
Rule number one is, kill anything that looks like it should be dead. Cut off the head or stab it through the brain, but don't let it bite or touch you. Okay?
no subject
[He glances around warily, from her outstretched arm to the fallout of the city around them. He doesn't sound terribly surprised, at any rate. Not after that...which 50th trip to Geonosis had that been? Or the prison they'd just clawed their way out of.
It almost sounds perfectly logical, even if it's a complete affront to how he knows the galaxy to work.]
That shouldn't be a problem.
[He pauses then, taking in the scene around them: the run down city, the odd sounds off in the distance.]
...What happened?
no subject
[She steals one of Tommy's favorite lines to mutter whenever discussing the zombies, and actually finds herself smiling in an oddly fond sort of way. It's thinking of her friend that motivates her to move forward, her hand reaching to pull out her knife so she'll be ready to strike. She hasn't had any casualties of her friends so far on these trips, and doesn't plan on starting with Anakin. She enjoys him too much to watch him die.
So she moves first, motioning for him to follow. She's eerily silent when moving through the streets, the sound of her boots touching the pavement not making a sound. They make their way out to a more main street, and she takes notice that although this is a city that looks like it probably held a fair share of people once upon a time, there aren't any large buildings.
Eyes glance upward and she takes in the words Wisconsin's Best Cheese Festival! and can't help but roll her eyes. Great. They're in Wisconsin. There's nothing good in Wisconsin, and her group likely won't even bother coming up this far. Still, she's promised herself this is the last trip through the portal, so she needs to make it count. She needs to find closure, so she can fully move on past being broken by this world. She's ready to move on and build herself back up again on the Moira. ]
It started with a virus. No one's sure where it came from. But it made people sick, and it turned them into...monsters, I guess. Zombies. They want to eat other people, so they bite them and tear out their organs and -
[Out of nowhere, there's a loud commotion from down the road, and Cassandra turns her head to see a giant wheel of cheese with zombies sticking out rolling right on by. Yep. A giant wheel of cheese. She just stares at it as it rolls past, looking completely stunned.]
And now shit like that happens.
