"Big things have small beginnings."
☄ DECONTAMINATION #2 ( 04.14 - 04.17 ) On the Moira, crew come and go without much hassle. They take a transporter to planets and moons and back again without any fuss... Until today. All crew that try to reboard the Moira coming back from Del Pascia will be denied access, a warning flashing on their MID - Decontamination Required for Entry. It’s a protocol that hasn’t been enacted before, and the MID offers no explanation as to why it is now. The transporter will seal and then be permitted to dock in the Cargo Bay, where the procedure will begin. All crew on the transporter have to dispose of their clothing by placing it inside hazardous waste bags located in a compartment near the front of the craft. After all clothing is stored, a gas-like substance will fill the transporter, breathable yet tasteless, and once it dissipates, crew will be free to go. ☄ D.ON'T E.VER L.EAVE ( 04.18 - 04.23 ) After the decontamination procedures for the Moira go off, the captains issue a ship-wide alert to let the crew know that the ship is picking up on something inside each person that boarded the space station. It is speculated that the crew came in contact with an unknown biological contaminant either during the station’s decontamination procedure or sometime after. At this point, they aren’t aware of what will happen to those that are carrying the contaminant, and the captains ask for anybody with experience to head to the Medbay to begin testing. Crew don’t appear to be in any danger, so they are allowed to continue gathering materials and supplies on board the space station at their discretion. (Every time they come and go, they will be made to go through the procedure described above). ☄ FEAR ME, LOVE ME, DO AS I SAY ( 04.24 - 04.28 ) Like most unfortunate things, it seems everything happens all at once. The noises you heard, a step falling moments after yours or a rattle coming from the vents, become louder. You can’t place where they are coming from at first. You turn, you follow, but the search yields no results. And then, without any warning, it’s crystal clear as “they” begin to creep and move from within the shadows and ruined sections of Del Pascia: the prisoners and workers said to have been relocated by D-E-L. Their voice is one, regardless of how many gather, and they tell you, “You can be happy here” and “I can make you better” shortly after. As always, fearing for the safety of the crew (and despite the disrepair of the Moira from events prior), the captains ask for all those capable to assist with extracting those aboard Del Pascia as quickly as possible before D-E-L tries to lock them inside. Running, after all, is better than dying, and it’s certainly something everyone aboard the Moira has gotten quite good at. |

His smile turns to a grin, and he shakes his head, unable to look or even sound remotely upset. ]
You break my heart, I hope you know that. Guess I should leave you two alone...?
no subject
[ That grin makes her feel all warm and bubbly inside, and she is so, so glad that she can be the cause of such a joyful expression coming from him. ]
no subject
[ Sounds like a pretty great deal, honestly. And Bruce doesn't really want to force the little guy out of the bed when he's enjoying his cuddling spot so much. ]
no subject
[ She gently scratches the top of the kitten's head a little. ]
I think he's decided that he doesn't mind that I come here.
no subject
[ A bit of a street cat, if not for the fact that that Moira doesn't really have streets. But the little guy enjoys running around a lot, and often spends whole days and nights in the gardens, together with the other kitties. Bruce doesn't mind, he likes that he's independent, and this way Bruce still gets to enjoy his alone time— as well as his 'together with Trish' time.
He stands up again, doing quick work of toeing off his shoes, then undressing down to his underwear, throwing on just a large t-shirt and going back to the bed so he can crawl underneath the covers. Screw the shower, he can do that later. ]
no subject
I have a lot of very compelling reasons to be here.
no subject
Other than the kitty cuddling?
[ He says that jokingly, of course, shifting beneath the covers until he's fitting his body against hers, a hand reaching over her to get the album from the bed and set it on the nightstand without a word about it. If she doesn't want to talk about it, he won't say anything either. ]
no subject
Well, there's this guy who comes here too sometimes. I'm pretty fond of him.
[ She kind of does want to talk about it a little, but she sort of needs to work her way up to it a bit. ]
no subject
[ His voice lilts a little with amusement, his weight propped up on his elbow so he can lean down and kiss her cheek, then the corner of her lips, lingering. ]
You were amazing, by the way. With the other guy.
[ The way she dealt with him, especially at the end, only made him love and trust her more. ]
no subject
[ She turns her head a bit so that she can kiss his lips, feeling pretty proud when he gives her praise for how she handled her first Hulk encounter. ]
If I can't show you some love when you're big and green I have no business being your girlfriend, and the other guy saved my life so the least I could do was show him some respect.
no subject
[ Kissing the Hulk, really— that sure had been a first. Not that Bruce minded that, and the other guy clearly didn't either. ]
no subject
[ And she thinks he more than earned a couple of little cheek kisses. ]
no subject
[ He wants to be his usual self, worrying and telling her to be careful and that she should be at least a little more cautious around the other guy, but he'd be lying if he said that it doesn't make him immensely happy that she's not scared of him. He just hopes he never gives her reason for that to change. ]
Thank you.
no subject
[ The whole thing had seemed pretty controlled as far as rage-rampages goes. ]
So, you know, thank you. For doing that.
[ She shivers a little in his arms as the thought hits home how badly things would have gone if he hadn't showed up. ]
no subject
[ It would've been obvious to anyone who knew the Hulk at all— but of course Trish had never seen him before, not in person at least, so it's only normal that she asks. ]
You don't need to thank me for saving your life. I'd have died if I weren't able to get you out of there.
[ Figuratively, of course, but she gets what he means. ]
And by the way, please consider the risks a little better next time you want to help. You won't be helping anyone if you're just getting hurt. [ Or worse. ]
no subject
I will.
[ She's not going to argue the point because it really would be utterly useless to pretend like she wasn't in way over her head. ]
no subject
[ He still remembers how she ended up at the medbay on her very first month too, so clearly there's a track record of recklessness here that he'd like to see gone. Hopefully she'll be a little more rational in the future, rather than just jump in first, think later. He can't always be there to get her out of trouble, and if she keeps going like this, it'll get to a point where she won't make it out.
He brushes his fingers along her hair, tucking them behind her ear, cupping her face as he looks into her eyes. ]
I'm just glad you're alright. You are, right? [ Glancing down briefly. ] You're not hurt or anything, are you?
no subject
[ Physically at least, though she suspects she'll have a few new additions to her nightmares in the future. ]
I've been roughed up way worse.
[ As he is all too aware of. ]
no subject
That doesn't really serve as much of a comfort as you think, you know?
no subject
[ Sleeping with him next to her really is becoming a habit already. He doesn't seem to mind, so she's not too worried about it. ]
no subject
[ He says that in a soft murmur against her lips, partly amused, his hand sliding down and underneath the covers, settling around her waist. ]
But our cuddling buddy might not appreciate all the moving around involved.
no subject
Yeah, he might get a little annoyed.
[ But she's in perfect agreement with him that it does sound pretty nice to have him paying attention to every last inch of her. ]
We can save it for when he decides to move.
no subject
Agreed. In the morning, maybe.
[ He's feeling pretty tired right now anyway, even if he might not necessarily need to go to sleep yet. They can just cuddle up and talk for a bit, if she wants to. ]
no subject
[ It almost hurts a little, how happy he can make her feel just by holding her like this. It's almost frightening, but in a good sort of way. ]
You were a cute baby, by the way.
[ Might as well fess up to looking at the pictures. ]
no subject
[ His voice is soft, but there's just a hint of tension there. Cautiousness, maybe. He doesn't move, though, nose still buried warmly into her hair just behind her ear. ]
I didn't... I didn't go through it yet, actually. [ Too many memories he'd rather be left alone. Or maybe he's just scared of what he might see in there. ] Did you?
