"I feel liberated when I'm doing it, and I want other people to feel liberated through it."
☄ ENJOY YOUR STAY ... IN PRISON Those who choose to go to Del Pascia will find themselves greeted by D-E-L. It has already agreed to terms with the Captains, allowing crew to strip nonessential supplies that aren’t needed since the station’s crew and prisoners were relocated due to funding cuts. The only condition placed upon this agreement is that any crew wishing to explore must undergo a mandatory decontamination before proceeding through the rest of Del Pascia. This process takes only minutes and is guaranteed to cause no physical side effects. Following this simple procedure, exploration is open with only warnings to be careful about damaging key systems. It is important to note that there are various security cameras located throughout the correctional facility, and it is not uncommon for D-E-L to comment or show concern for those exploring parts of Del Pascia. ☄ DEATH BECOMES YOU There is salvage to be found in all parts of the facility, including the cell blocks and infirmaries of the prison wings. However, there is something odd about these sectors, a strange charge in the air that follows you as you search for anything useful to bring back to the Moira. Perhaps it is the eyes of D-E-L watching? But then, after an indiscernible amount of time, it's like a switch is flipped. Suddenly, you are wearing your sins where anyone but you can see. For however much death you have wrought or committed, there will be blood on your hands—perhaps even further than that. This bizarre occurrence will appear as an almost digital skin and will not vanish until outside the cell blocks. If exploring the infirmaries for supplies, any and all health stats throughout your life will be visible and easy to read by anyone who happens to take an interest. ☄ WHAT WAS THAT SOUND? Del Pascia is a very large station and has been abandoned for quite some time. D-E-L will regretfully inform anyone who asks that some nonessential areas have fallen into disrepair. It will warn that exploring these areas can be risky as it has no knowledge of what damage these sections have taken. Regardless of that, if you venture in, you’ll find that these sections are in rather bad shape. Exposed wiring sparks in the walls, a great variety of broken tools are thrown about, and it seems that every camera has been purposely broken. Venturing in further will yield valuable components for salvage, and yet... as before, you suspect you aren’t alone. It isn’t often, but sometimes, you might hear a step falling moments after yours or a rattle coming from the vents. Every time you go to investigate... whatever made the noise is gone. |

[ Padmé considers herself pretty comfortable with change and new, strange situations. But to be at one moment walking through the familiar halls of the palace, and the next to be chilled and breathless in a room is more change than she's ever experienced at once, and she takes one unsteady step forward and falls to her knees, the heavy red and orange fabric of her traveling outfit stark against the pale cerulean light. The darkness is blinding at first, so much dimmer than the bright halls of the palace, but details start to come into focus as she climbs to her feet, palming for the blaster Captain Typho had insisted she carry under the voluminous robes, only to find it missing. It takes her another few seconds to notice the other person here, jolting a bit before pulling herself as tall and straight as possible. ]
Who are you and where am I?
✾ The MOIRA; EXPLORING
[ For all the massive ships she's seen, the size and complication of these crafts never cease to impress her. It's less impressive the way she's gotten here, the contract she's signed (knowing there were others who were pulled in here against their will... she couldn't just leave them), everything that's lead her to wandering the halls trying to get a better idea of what she's found herself in. The ship seems a little more worse for wear though, and Padmé lingers near a more damaged area, frowning. What could have happened here? ]
✾ DEL PASCIA; MEDBAY
[ It seems a bit mad to leave the ship for 'salvage' as soon as she got here, but there's an itch Padmé can't resist, to learn more about her situation, and she finds herself walking briskly through the prison, having decided to look for any medicine or supplies, as well as any information on this part of the galaxy she's found herself.
There's a med bay, flickering with light and as soon as she steps inside. It's a strange thing, and as she peers at one of the screens (is this an ultrasound from one of the prisononers?) she get's a hill, turning to see someone behind her. She gives a small scream, all but jumping out of her skin. ]
Oh! You startled me!
✾ WILDCARD
[ Find Padmé anywhere on the ship or in Del Pascia! /o/ ]
del pascia; medbay; let me know if you'd like me to change anything
Name: Padmé
It's all she needs to see, especially combined with the big-eyed face. She's a lot like you, actually. Short.
And then Leia thinks to glance over and see what her text says. Leia Organa, sure, but then everything from her weight to the interrogator droid Vader used on her, and she takes another step back.]
I need to speak to you. [Her voice is steady but tense.] Somewhere else.
no subject
Of course. Is there a problem?
no subject
[There are plenty of problems, not least the fact that she'd prefer her mother didn't know every inch of her medical history--not projected next to her face, anyway.
Leia crosses the threshold of the infirmary, unconcerned with the fact that it means appearing to be covered in blood across her chest and arms. Better that than the stories hiding behind that list of past injuries. Looking up at Padmé, she speaks, the question hiding in her tone.]
You're Senator Amidala of Naboo.
no subject
You're injured!
no subject
[She rubs at her hands, and though she can't see it, she knows from experience that the illusory blood won't smudge or move for Padmé.]
You don't have to worry. [Please don't worry--don't let the first thing her mother knows of her is fear for her health.] You are the senator, aren't you?
no subject
I am... Am I wrong to assume you have a relation with Senator Bail Organa of Alderaan?

medbay;
Even if there's a whole mountain to still scale when it comes to how he envisions their relationship to what very little she knows about it.]
That's what happens when you come out here alone.
no subject
[ She frowns at him, shaking her head and purposely turning to look for medicine instead of looking at him. It's embarrassing, to not have heard him come up. But he was a Jedi, and so much more comfortable in his own skin then she remembers. It's still flustering to look at him to be quite honest. ]
You could have announced yourself.
[ She pulls open a drawer and finds a whole mess of bottles, and proceeds to start putting them in her bag. ]
And I do not need to be chaperoned.
no subject
[He's hands off, he's not directing; in fact, it almost seems like he's taken something of a cue, even if his presence alone tends to contradict all of it. Maybe she isn't the one who needs the accompaniment.]
I can still leave, if that's what you want. [Not that he really would; it's a bluff. A bad one.]
no subject
[ She cant help but smile a bit, looking over her shoulder at him. ]
You're the technical genius, are any of these machines worth bringing back?
no subject
[Look, it's not often he gets praise for his particular talents, even as minor as this is. He laughs is off, and is already poking around some of the machinery in the room; the situation, unfortunately, looks bleak. From more than one standpoint.]
Depends on what you want them to do.
[He looks on some of them skeptically; most are dead, but he makes a point of stopping to pull out wiring that looks salvageable from a few while he answers.]
Most of this has been picked clean or destroyed.
no subject
I'm not certain what the ship needs, it's only been a few days since I got here.
[She straightens up though at the next part, turning to face him.]
I thought everyone was moved out of here due to budget cuts. Why would they have taken apart and destroyed the medical equipment?

He really doesn't have to worry about Padmé Amidala (the name he knows her by still); experience has thought him that she's a warrior as well as a diplomat. Nevertheless, it doesn't stop him from showing concern as he meets her in the junction between the holding cells and the prison medbay. ]
Padmé. Already exploring, I see. [ A slight smirk, one that doesn't reach his tired eyes. Should he expect anything less? Not knowing her as he does, he shouldn't. He thinks she's probably already started making bold plans to help aboard the ship in any way she can. ] Do you mind if I walk with you a while? I could use the company.
no subject
If I am to be kept here, Master Kenobi, I'm going to take advantage of helping the people here. A damaged ship is not a safe one, especially without a destination in mind.
[She smiles at his offer, and nods.]
I've grown a bit weary of the silence here, your company would be more than welcome.
no subject
Silence, I believe, was the problem at our last stop as well. It's a... troublesome theme.
[ Particularly when it's silence born of a halting necessity. He doesn't quite want to ask what all Anakin has shared with her, not because he doesn't have an urge to do so, but because he's almost afraid of where the question might lead (and how much he'd feel compelled to reveal on top of what she already might know). ]
My hope is that it won't persist.
no subject
[ A thoughtful frown crosses her lips, and she's silent for a moment. She's not certain if there is any way to pinpoint where they are without some very detailed maps...if Obi Wan hasn't been able to figure it out, she doubt's she'll be able to. Not that she wasn't going to try anyway. ]
What was the last planet you stopped on like?
no subject
It was sparsely inhabited. The dominate native species naturally produced a drug — a well sought mind-altering substance — that attracted groups of hunters to the planet. They were operating under the assumption that the creatures possessed no sentience. We attempted to rectify this, through education and eventually through technical means, but there's no guarantee we've prevented this from happening on Ceta again.
[ He might as well have written a paper on it for all Obi-Wan's thought about the planet and its dual struggles. ]

Moira
Usually the damaged parts.
And in her brief time on the ship, she's learned an important and valuable lesson: There are always damaged parts.
And so there she is, taking a slow, languid drag on a rankweed cigarette when the other woman appears. Not a familiar face. But damn it if she doesn't want to help out a fellow female. Her kriffing bleeding heart.]
Lost?
medbay.
[Well, one of his hands. He slips it back quickly, but it's easy to see his right arm ends somewhere below the wrist.]
I'm sorry, are you alright?
no subject
[ She presses both hands to her heart, giving him an apologetic wince, teeth in her bottom lip. The fact that he's missing a hand isn't missed by her, but she errs on the side of caution that it may be an older wound.]

[ She gives him a small smile, and then gestures to the machine he was hunched over when she turned around. ]
Do you need any help with that?
no subject
I wouldn't mind it. Here, could you hold this? [He's trying to keep open a spring-loaded compartment door about the size of a breadbox while also reaching inside to reaffix internal wiring. It's the sort of job made infinitely easier by two working hands.]

[Cassandra places both of her hands up to show she's unarmed and means no harm. Her arms are quickly dropped to her sides as she stands up straight as well, wanting to seem a hell of a lot taller than her 5'1" actually is. She's not threatened by the other woman, but seeing her stand up tall and straight inspires her to want to do the same.]
I'm Cassandra. We've both been pulled into this place. Wherever...this place is.
[Her eyes glance downward, to her own bare feet. She digs her toes into the cold metal floor.]
And someone stole my boots.
