[For several days, Peter takes control of the TV in the lounge. At first it was trying to learn the games that BB had left him, but after talking to Wanda its become his way to stop thinking about his conversation with Wanda. It's hard to think about the death of his alternate dimension self when playing Mario Cart.

Maybe he invited you over to play a few rounds. Maybe you catch him watching 90s comedy shows at four in the morning. Maybe you just want to yell at the kid who's been hogging the TV all day and has the volume turned up way too loud on Duck Hunt.]

Mess Hall and Cafe;

[What's another great way to avoid feelings? Eating.

Peter has commandeered a table to himself and has gathered a huge mess from the sheer amount he's packing away. He looks like the food has personally offended him, glaring down at every bite and stabbing everything viciously with his fork. Someone's moved into the anger portion of the process.

You could approach, but that glare says you might not like what happens when you do.]

[And now he's moved into follow someone around and annoy them part of the process.]

I'm just saying, if you work for a family like that, you don't get away with being dicks to them. No rich person is putting up with that.

[He's spent the past few minutes explaining the plot of 'Fresh Prince' to you. Engage?]

[Ahab just wanted some time to relax after the last few hellish days for him. He knew who he was now, or at least, had a better grasp on his life. He had wanted to visit the Lounge and now it felt good to actually find a place he'd not been to yet. He entered the room and saw the massive TV on the wall and someone using it.]

Mind some company, kid?

[Ahab had a e-cigar in his hand, inhaling on it as he shot the kid a smile.]

[Peter can glare all he wants. That's not going to stop Allison from plonking a bit fat mug of salted caramel mocha with extra sugar and extra whip cream and a wobbly smiley face drawn on top with chocolate syrup, and then sitting down across from him.]

[ Sam had his phone and all was once again right with the world. He had to make some earbuds, but some copper wire, some clips, and a soldering iron later he had (a somewhat jury-rigged version of) what he needed.

So it almost didn't matter what volume Peter played Duck Hunt at...though Sam can't help but notice it's a blast from the past no matter which way you slice it. Also that Peter has been in here about as long as Sam. Since Sam hasn't been sleeping in his assigned room, but he's an adult while Peter is a teenage kid, this is a bit concerning. ]

...always made me mad you couldn't shoot that stupid dog.

[Liquid already knows the lounge had opened up, since even if it hadn't really been part of his job to know what was going on around here, he'd still be curious (or nosy) about things. When he finally gets a little time to just sit around and do nothing, the lounge's TV is occupied. He spends a bit of time watching, then speaks.]

How many games do they have around here, anyway?

[ Yata shows up shortly after their Spacebook conversation, just as promised. He's been pretty grouchy since Fushimi showed up, but today he's at least just subdued instead of pissy. Even so, he perks up when he sees Peter. ]

Yo.

[ He shuffles over to where Peter sits, hands tucked into his pockets. ]

You get these from the captains, too?

[Peter barely glances up from the TV, still engrossed in his game. He does scoot over a little, giving more room for the other to sit.]

Not at all. Free room.

[He gestures at the other controller laying on the floor.]

You can either watch or play.

[The look he gives her is moderately less annoyed than he'd been giving his food and he reaches for the mug as soon as it's set down. He might be in a bad mood, but chocolate is still chocolate.]

Since when did you make me things without me asking?

[Peter snorts, glancing up at Sam for a moment before realigning a shot.]

Right? I've been trying since I got a hold of this thing. What's the point? I thought from the MID zombie game the future was all about fictional violence.

They have a few. But only on the wrist contraption.

[He pauses the game to lift his wrist, shrugging. He looks up to Liquid, glancing from him to the TV.]

But I've got a few here. Racing, hunting and fighting. Pick your poison.

Hey.

[He gives Yata a small smile, jerking his head to the seat next to him.]

No. Someone else did. But he's gone and he left them to me, so. You know.

[It kind of sucks, but he doesn't want to make a production out of it. Typical teenage way of dealing. He shrugs, leaning down to pick up the game cases.]

Well, yes, other than those.

[He may have spent a little more time on the cat game than he should, already. Arms crossed, he takes a step forward.]

Fighting, always fighting. Not that I'd say no to racing or hunting, but I love a good bout of punching everything.

Sam snorted from his spot on the cushy wrap-around seating, and didn't look up from his phone. His only concession to the conversation was taking out one crappy earbud.

"If you're looking for gratuitous fictional violence, then play Manhunt."

Okay but think of all the good Fresh Prince has done for us. Straw joke is a classic, I still do it at parties. Nevermind Jump On It.

[ He can humour the weirdo kid with silver hair. He's seen him before, though he hasn't really talked to him or seen what he can do. He appreciates explaining the plot, but... ]

I had such a crush on Hilary Banks. Still do.

You look like the secret ingredient to the drink is piss.

[Niko sees Peter's expression and is immediately worried. He's gotten to like the kid. He's not a great helper with problems- god, anyone should never expect him to help. He's got a bad habit of shooting or punching other people's problems in the face. But he's decent at just listening to them, or offering someone a good time as a distraction.]

You alright friend? [He takes up a seat on the cafe stool next to him.]

Since you started trying to brew storm clouds with your brain.

Or maybe you're trying to set the food on fire. Either way, I'm pretty sure you're stuck with the super speed.

So what's up?

Not that great, right? The only interesting one is the zombie game and it's kind of easy.

[He leans over, groping along the floor with one hand until he finds the games and pulls up the right one. He flashes the cover at Liquid.]

I've got something called Mortal Kombat. Feel up for a round?

[As he's asking, Peter pauses his current game and starts looking for the second controller to hand over.]

It worked just as well for Peter; full attention was reserved for the serious moments, or close friends and family. And when he wasn't in the middle of a round. He kept his eyes on the screen, taking a shot and frowning at the cartoony graphics.

"I have no idea what that is, dude. Where I'm from games haven't progressed beyond the arcade. Pong's starting to make it big, wowing everyone with it's graphics and gameplay."

Sam's eyes tracked over to the screen all stealthy like. He didn't yet look up from his phone.

"Yet you're playing Duck Hunt. Home consoles aren't yet a thing."

Wait, the straw- [He raises his hands to his face, making gestures at his nose.] That becomes classic? Really?

Well, yeah. She's hot. Hell, the chick with the nose thing was kind of hot. The only good thing I can see about the future is we don't loose out on good looking people. The fashion, however. Ugh! [He grimaces.] Clearly we reached the best of that in the sixties.

I... might have got a bit attached to the cat game.

[He can't help it! It's fun! It's cute! Still, he does like some action (or a lot of action), and when he leans in to see the cover of the game he grins. Oh, he's definitely familiar with that.]

Mortal Kombat? Oh absolutely. I remember playing that in the arcade. Or... might have been the third one by then. I definitely missed out on the first one coming out, anyway.

[He was a little busy with war and stuff back then. Right now, though, he's got some free time and an opportunity to get some simulated punching in.]

Still, definitely a good series from what I remember.

Not quite.

[The look Peter gives him isn't quite a smile, but its a little more pleasant than the glare he's giving everything else. It's only because he likes Niko that he doesn't tell him to move on. And that he doesn't lie.]

I don't really know. I will be, always am. But right now? [He half shrugs, dropping his gaze back to his drink.] Maybe I'm just making mountains out of molehills.

Who ever heard of starting storms as a power? Come on.

[He stabs at his food, chasing something that looks a little like peas with his fork.]

A lot of things. I don't even know if I should be so dumb about it.

[She's just about got the hang of the MID, but all the electronics in the lounge? That's another hassle entirely.

It wasn't as pressing as being able to communicate, so she didn't stress it much. But that didn't mean she didn't try, or that she wasn't curious.

So here she is, watching over Peter's shoulder as he plays Duck Hunt.]

Please shoot than infernal dog. I don't know that I can tolerate that laugh any longer.

Excuse you, controlling the weather would be an awesome power.

[Argue about powers with her, it might take your mind off things.]

Whatever you're upset about, I can promise you I've been upset over stupider things.

Besides, you're a teenage. You're supposed to be dumb and upset by things.

[ Yata may not get that anything is wrong, per se, but he does understand the vague non-descriptive answer for what it is. Instead he drops down into the seat as bidden. ]

The fighting one.

[ It's what he's best at, after all, though it's been a while since he's actually sat down to play - and thinking about that has him speaking up again. ]

Hey, do you recognize any of the games? I was looking at the movies and books and stuff a little bit ago and couldn't find anything familiar.

[ Not that Yata had looked terribly hard, and not that he's much of a reader or movie goer in the first place, but it still strikes him as a little strange. ]
