open;

Who: Peter and you.
When: 15-20th
Where: Lounge/Mess/Hallways
What: Peter avoids dealing with life via games, TV, and being an annoyance
Warnings: Will update as needed.

Lounge;

[For several days, Peter takes control of the TV in the lounge. At first it was trying to learn the games that BB had left him, but after talking to Wanda its become his way to stop thinking about his conversation with Wanda. It's hard to think about the death of his alternate dimension self when playing Mario Cart.

Maybe he invited you over to play a few rounds. Maybe you catch him watching 90s comedy shows at four in the morning. Maybe you just want to yell at the kid who's been hogging the TV all day and has the volume turned up way too loud on Duck Hunt.]

Mess Hall and Cafe;

[What's another great way to avoid feelings? Eating.

Peter has commandeered a table to himself and has gathered a huge mess from the sheer amount he's packing away. He looks like the food has personally offended him, glaring down at every bite and stabbing everything viciously with his fork. Someone's moved into the anger portion of the process.

You could approach, but that glare says you might not like what happens when you do.]

Hallways;

[And now he's moved into follow someone around and annoy them part of the process.]

I'm just saying, if you work for a family like that, you don't get away with being dicks to them. No rich person is putting up with that.

[He's spent the past few minutes explaining the plot of 'Fresh Prince' to you. Engage?]

Sam snorted from his spot on the cushy wrap-around seating, and didn't look up from his phone. His only concession to the conversation was taking out one crappy earbud.

"If you're looking for gratuitous fictional violence, then play Manhunt."
whoami: (Gotta new find gotta new crime)

Sam's eyes tracked over to the screen all stealthy like. He didn't yet look up from his phone.

"Yet you're playing Duck Hunt. Home consoles aren't yet a thing."
whoami: (I hunt for you)

Sam's eyes moved back to his phone. He wasn't very interested in watching Duck Hunt.

"You do know that things change from one world to the next? Might only exist here, you don't know."
whoami: (I like to keep some things to myself)

"Pong does pretty well in most worlds. In my world they sold Pong for home use, too. There's some stuff between, but then Atari will probably be the next 'big' thing. Again in my world came the Atari 2600 for computers. That one came with joystick and everything. The Space Invaders arcade game hit Japan first, then the US. After that, Mattel got in on the action and came out with the Intellivision, then there's the first release of Pac-man. The Donkey Kong arcade game was another japanese hit. There's M.U.L.E. and that's a big deal for people that are really into multiplayer, but Tetris was more of a big deal for everybody. Partially because it leaked out from behind the Iron Curtain. Hopefully you won't hear anything about that. The NES hit the US about two years after it had come out in Japan."

Sam's eyes slid over to the screen.

"...which is what you're playing."

His eyes slid back. Through all of that he hadn't looked up. What? His dad started out designing video games. Sam played with everything when it came out. Kevin Flynn didn't start getting into the really wild ideas until right before he vanished.

Sam frowned. Still staring at his phone (he's been playing Snood this entire time, don't be fooled) it slowly dawned on him that rattling that stuff off might make him look a little weird. It was all common knowledge when he was growing up, though? He glanced at Peter, a little anxiously, then back down at his phone.

"My dad was actually the gigantic nerd. He wrote a lot of games, whole 'Pioneer in the Industry' and all that. I'm just a regular-sized nerd."

That's been doing the hacktivist thing, or 'pranking' his own company, and playing digital robin hood in his spare time but details.
