The bottoms all I've found [ OPEN ]
Who: Adrien Arbuckal
prorenataa & OTA
When: Various times all through November
Where: Prompts for Gym & Rec Room, MedBay, Observation, Residential - Halfway - Unit 9
What: Open Prompts for encounters in these areas. A few closed prompts in the comments
Warnings: Adrien's temper?
Note: For all these encounters people are free to note something new about Adrien. Namely he is wearing a uniform. Either in black or white, the top looks like this or this and the pants are the same either way. Overtop he has a cape with maximum swish factor trimmed in blue. There are 4 flat heptagonal pins on his shirt, they appear to be dull metal ... strange that he wears them.
Gym
[ While planetside Adrien had the orchard and the chore of tending his acreage to help keep him in condition. Now, once again stuck on a hurtling tin can, he recognized the necessity of taking time specifically to train.
So he could be found, regularly at the gym, executing a grueling combination of conditioning exercises and also training. Stamina and cardio was worked through running and intense core workouts, strength with pull ups, push ups and free weight (he winged the weights from anything laying around) and then balance and flexibility work.
Using his conditioning routine as a warm up, Adrien would move into his hand to hand exercises. This involved a lot of gymnastics and often Courser could be seen acting as a sparring partner. There was a sense that they could be a lethal combination, Adrien specifically moved with what might be surprising speed and deadly intent for a medical professional. Likewise, the bahari did not hold back, claws and teeth flashing as he made the doctor work for it and even as fast as Adrien was, sometimes he could be caught sporting a nasty scratch.
From a spectator perspective it might be fun to watch, but if you want to interrupt him, do so carefully. Some of his routines involve a a very big knife ]
MedBay
[ When the doctor wasn't exercising, showering or indulging in what laughingly passed as sleep, he was in the MedBay.
Usually he could be found working on restoring the equipment to it's full functionality, taking inventory or in the R & D area working with samples.
Sometimes he could be found actually sitting in a chair at a desk, reading books. The books ranging from medical texts to botany. Courser was usually nearby, sometimes asleep under the chair, other times lurking in a shadow just out of sight.
Either way, for the majority of his waking hours, the doctor was "in" and available. ]
Observation
[ While not a regular haunt, late in the station's cycle when most people were asleep, sometimes the doctor could be found here.
His hands folded behind his back as he stares out at the stars, lost to his own thoughts. Courser sits at his left leg, a silent sentry and constant companion during these still nights. ]
Residential - Halfway - Unit 9
[ Not that he spend a lot of time down here, but for a few hours out of the cycle the doctor might be found rustling about in his living space.
At odds with his otherwise spartan mannerism and life style, the man had what amount to a ridiculous amount of bedding, which he kept sorting around and rearranging into various configurations, looking for just the rightblanket fort nest. Usually this meant that Courser was laying out in the hallway, muzzling on his front paws as he watched, and listened, to his companion muttering up a storm as he redecorated. There was a sense of long suffering tolerance in the bahari's demeanor and though he made give someone a baleful look, he would get up and move if asked.
One of them had to have some manners after all. ]

Observation [ Closed to Nate and Elena ]
At first he'd been confused by what he was looking at, until he remembered the slim silver ring. That one he'd seen before and when he lifted it and saw the inscription, mirrored in the larger titanium band, the pieces had fallen into place.
Even then it had taken a day until he could shoot off messages to Nate and Elena, asking them to meet him in Observation, so he could hand the box over to its rightful owners. He had headed straight for the Observation area, bedecked in his uniform, complete with swishy cape.
He was already anticipating Nate's commentary about the swish factor. ]

Nate shoots off a quick message to his wife letting her know that he'll meet her there before heading straight to observation. Why wait, right?]
Hey, man. What's up? ...and what are you wearing?
no subject
[ Came his return comment, complete with a swish of said cape. Might suggest that he's heard jokes on the cape in the past and is used to fielding them. ]
no subject
Is there a costume party going on and someone forgot to remind me to bring my costume?
no subject
[He grins at his wife and his friend and shrugs. All right, so the wardrobe change is a new thing, but if Adrien likes having a cape, hey. Good for him.]
no subject
It's my uniform, from the CDC. [ He explained. ] The cape is a little ridiculous, I'll grant you, but it's also fireproof, waterproof, cryoproof, plasma and bullet proof.
[ Didn't explain all the jewelry on the left breast side, but at least it explained why he was swishing. ]
Apparently it came through one of those silver portals, however it wasn't the only thing and it is not why I summoned you both here.
[ Reaching into the pocket of his uniform, Adrien withdrew the box, complete with bow. ]
I apologize, for looking, but the box didn't give me any idea who this box belonged with and I had to check.
[ He held it out towards Nate. ]

Hello?
[She smiles as she hurries on over toward him, taking quick note of the animal nearby. Used to seeing all manner of things, it doesn't really make her react. His face, however, is something that makes her stop and stare for a moment. Her own face contorts in confusion as she stands in front of the desk, and it almost seems as if she's forgotten why she's come here at all.]
Sorry, I just...you look familiar somehow. Are you a doctor here? I could use a bit of help with something, if you are.
no subject
Then it was his turn for his expression to smooth out from one of tentative warm welcome, to something more appropriately neutral. His disappointment carefully shielded behind well appointed masks. ]
Yeah I get that, particularly when there is another gentleman running around this slag heap with the same face. Peculiarities of multiple dimensions.
[ Usually being asked if he was the doctor here, earned the speaker a sharp retort, but Adrien found that, even disappointed, he couldn't do that to her. So instead he gave a nod of his head, set a marker in the book he was reading and stood up.
Good news, Clara, he's not that much taller than you. ]
Dr. Adrien Arbuckal but please, call me Adrien. [ She even earned introduction privileged. ] What do you need?
no subject
Adrien.
[She says the name, lips pursing together.]
I remember you. It doesn't seem clear enough to be real, but I do.
[Which means she may not need to introduce herself to him. She'll wait and see about that. She leans in across the desk, trying to get in closer to his face so she can really study his appearance. When she leans back and away, her hands and knit together, anxiously fidgeting.]
Is it possible for memories to resurface without you knowing they should be there?
no subject
That was not quite the response he was anticipating, but he still didn't let it get his hopes up. Not when she was describing a medical concern to him. The need to be professional outweighed anything of a personal nature. ]
It's alright. [ He said, his tone neutral but pitched to a level that might have almost been ... reassuring? But this meant that he needed to be careful of what he said. If she had an issue with amnesia, any memories that legitimately belonged to her, would have to return on their own. ]
To answer your question, yes and it is not as uncommon as you might believe. The human brain is an incredibly complex organ, with very clever self-protective instincts. Sometimes it re-arranges its data fields in order to ensure survival, but those data fields can come back, given time.
no subject
[She gives a nervous bite to her thumbnail, still staring over at his face as if she's trying to put the pieces into their proper place. He's a doctor, so she trusts his opinion on the matter,
but she doesn't like the idea that her mind isn't fully under her own control. She desperately wants him to tell her a way to get those memories back, all at once, but knows it's not medically possible.
So instead of focusing on that, she decides to just prod into the fact that she thinks she knows him.
It's something she can deal with in the here and now, and something she can potentially regain just by continuing to speak with him.]
Like you. You know me, don't you? You must, because I remember we danced once.

The problem is that people keep showing up and expecting that she knows what she's doing other than said meaningful busywork. And she's not sure she's even doing the busywork right. She doesn't actually know how to set up a clinic/medical bay/whatever this is is.
She's reasonably sure she hasn't messed up anything important, at least. But when she comes in at what is rapidly becoming her morning and sees one of the actual medics there she's not about to pass up the chance to ask for some clarification. Even if it means getting reamed out in the process.
She stands in front of his desk. He's busy reading something, but this is important. ]
Hi. I'm Kelly Ann, but you can call me Pistachio. I don't have any medical training but I thought I'd help out around here and I've been trying to organize supplies and things. But if you could tell me if I'm doing it right or how you want it done that would help. Also not required, but any kind of training you could give me would be good so I can help when people come in here and I'm the only one here.
[ She holds out her hand to shake. ]
no subject
A pursuit that was rudely interrupted by someone who appeared to sort of vibrate and tumbled a lot of words out of her mouth in a short span of time. He blinked, looked at the hand, then back to her face.
No ... no he didn't recognize her, so that was curious. She must be new. ]
Hello, Kelly Ann. [ He said deliberately. He was not calling her Pistachio, nor did it appear he was reaching to return the handshake. ] I'm Dr. Adrien Arbuckal. Do us both a favor and call me Adrien or if jackass, if you'd rather. I answer to both fairly regularly.
[ Sitting back, he motioned her towards a little rolly stool that was close by. ]
It that wall of words you just dropped on me, did I understand correctly that you've already begun to rearrange the MedBay and are now asking for forgiveness, or you'd like to rearrange the MedBay and are asking for permission?
no subject
Right. Ok. First of all, I'm not asking forgiveness for anything, and if I was I wouldn't be asking you. Because you just did the same thing I did, which was decide you're working in MedBay. Nobody gave you your job, either.
What I'm asking is how do you want these supplies organized. Because they were just tossed in crates and jumbled around. I can throw all this stuff back in the supply closet where I found it and shake 'em up good for you if that's how you like things, though.
So. What'll it be, Doc?
no subject
This was going to be a quick conversation. ]
Make sure you shake them up hard enough to break something. Or it will just be a waste of your time.
[ Was his response, before he stood up, grabbing one of the books he'd been reading and walking off towards where he had set up the R & D equipment. ]
no subject
Prick.
[ Then goes back to what she was doing. ]

How you doin'?

He'd heard the skates and the doctor looked up as Lucio landed at his desk. ]
Sometimes I wonder if you aren't infectious. [ Was his response. Which was basically an Adrien appropriate positive observation about Lucio's positivity. ]
HAHA

Wait, was that a self-burn?

What have you been working on, I mean beyond what I can see?

super late tag, sorry!
To be honest she doesn't mean to sneak around like a thief but she didn't see anyone around and well.. She didn't exactly like being seen in hospital or so if there was a way to avoid it. An old habit that died hard but at least she wouldn't have to answer any questions. To questions like why she was looking for pain killers and such now that the scar on her face had been healed by Lucio.
She makes her way to what she believes to be the medicine cabinet, reaches out the handle and pulls --- only to find out its locked.]
Shit. Just my luck.
No worries!
Why you ask?
Because out of the shadows stalked a sleek figure. No, not Adrien, but rather Courser. The bahari walked up beside J, attempting to push in between her and the cabinets and with an inquisitive expression in his bright eyes.
He chuffed softly. ]
no subject
But the sudden brush of fur against her side, then pushing along her leg to the front so that she's separated from the medical cabinet, is enough to make her a jump a little and take a step backwards. It's almost miracle she manages to keep it quiet.
Her eyes widen in the darkness as she looks at the animal that caught her almost red handed.]
Wait. You were Adrien's [She whispers snapping her finger quietly as she tries to remember the name of the creature and looking around for the master. It's been ages since she saw it last time.]
Col-- Courser, right?
Gym
Tex waits until she can see that Adrien has moved to doing some conditioning exercise, and she moves to the area, where the sets of weights are. She starts lifting them, waiting for a good opening to speak.
"That's not one of the Moira's uniforms," she says. "Is that from home?"
