The Ingress has pulled you in. Your body experiences several sensations at once: being pushed forward as if a hand is resting on your back, momentary and startling blindness, a gentle ringing in your head. You have difficulty discerning whether it is hot or cold, but where you have been prodded is noticeably warmer than the rest of you. Some may suffer from dizziness while others are perfectly fine. Once equilibrium has been reestablished, you will notice you are standing on a long platform and that the room is filled with a soft cerulean light. It's slightly humid and dark despite the glow around you, and nothing is familiar.

Yet, unlike most new crew arrivals, this one is in the middle of chaos.

Despite more recent events, the planet of Emiri is not as peaceful as it once was. Frederick Link is still missing, and the authorities of Emiri have yet to lift the interplanetary ban they have placed on all space crafts docked at the aerospace. The captains previous held a meeting asking crew for any and all information that might help them locate the Komai, a mysterious group determined to undermine Link'd Inc's work providing flourishing matches across the universe by causing random acts of violence and protest across the three main cities: Harashan, Avelle, and St. Murtel. These things have led to mass arrests as well as an unsettling atmosphere spreading across the planet, and since a previous broadcast, things are beginning to escalate.

A downward spiral of these events begins as soon as new arrivals start to leave the Ingress—an unmarked box arrives in the cargo bay addressed to the inhabitants of the Moira. As per his job, Niko Bellic is the one to discover this box and open it. For some, the contents may be particularly gruesome. Link’s body is inside, clothed in a simple white button-down and pants (no shoes), and it looks as if letters have begun to bleed through the material. Anyone with expert knowledge of torture may note that Link was, in fact, tortured for information, and those letters? The writing itself spells out the name St. Murtel.

The captains, having been alerted of this, make an attempt to contact those at Link’d Inc. Unfortunately, the damage has already been done.

☄ First: MISCOMMUNICATION

Somehow, whether intentional or not, the Komai have once again hacked public systems and networks to brand those of the Moira as the ones behind these terroristic acts. They still use their own name, but the images are different, focusing on familiar faces wearing the ship’s uniforms and traveling to the Aerospace to return to the Moira. Not only that, there are short recordings of Link’s final words that mention a very recognizable name: Captain Thán. The Komai have redirected the blame to the Moira and its crew for their own means, and in response, any and all crew who are captured by authorities will immediately be detained and shipped out to unknown locations. The Captains send a message via MID and request everyone return to the ship to prevent this from happening. Yet, not all messages will be delivered depending on how far away they are.

With everyone’s safety hanging in the balance, the Captains have decided to take things into their own hands and find a way to lift the block on the Moira so they can leave Emiri’s orbit and avoid further repercussions regardless of whether or not any one of the crew wants to stay.

☄ Second: DECOY & DISTRACT

After learning that Benjamin Link, son of recently deceased Frederick Link, knows how to unlock the ship so they can leave, the captains ask for volunteers to act as decoys on a mission to the Aerospace in Harashan. Their job is to distract guards and Emiri citizens, leaving the path clear for Benjamin to get to the computers. The captains reiterate that they are to use nonfatal methods as they don’t want a repeat of the events on Caducus Primary. Without his help, the ship won’t be able to leave, making this mission critical and extremely time sensitive.

☄ Third: RESCUE

During the mission, Benjamin informs the crew that the Komai aren’t incorrect in their claims that Link’d Inc uses unforgivable means to obtain information in order to make their matches perfect. The children the crew dreamed about are just two of many—the offspring of Emirian citizens who had gone missing. It has long been suspected that Link’d Inc was involved in their disappearances, but only recently has the Komai done anything to shed light on these gruesome rumors. Benjamin, after successfully unlocking the ship, disables the security systems in St. Murtel, which will allow the children a chance to escape. They’ll need assistance in getting out of St. Murtel and to a pre-designated area in Avelle where a group of Komai and Emirians will be waiting for them.

But be careful. If anyone is recognized as part of the crew, they will be placed under arrest for treason and possibly never heard from again.

☄ Fourth: BREAKING OUT

Now that the computer systems in Harashan’s Aerospace have been used to release the Moira, the entire crew are being called back via MID for an expedient exit from Emiri. Crew will be asked to assist other Moirans in getting back to the ship as quickly as possible via transporters or other small crafts as leaving is their only option at this point. In the escape, Emiri launches an attack on the Moira in an attempt to stop them. The ship’s previously unused defense systems activate, and those assigned to those positions are required to man their posts. Perhaps even those who don’t have the clearance are needed. Either way, it’s time to leave.

☄ Fifth: REFUGEES

Now that the ship has finally escaped Emiri’s orbit, the crew will notice a group of stragglers in the main hall. During the crew’s quick exit, about fifty Emirians have taken refuge aboard the Moira, and the captains have agreed to take them to the closest planet so they may start again or live a life free of Link’d Inc “rule”. The captains ask the crew to help get them clothes and food for their short stay, no longer than a day at most, and to occupy them as best they can. Tell jokes, sing songs, bring up the kittens so that everyone can attempt to wind down after this series of unfortunate events. Light entertainment won’t be provided, but on request, some crew members may do just that.

[And suddenly he feels like he's back in school, sitting through his fourth block lecture. There may be a vaguely glazed over look in his eyes as Bruce speaks, fidgeting worsening.]

Right, okay. That's a lot of science-y words. I'm going to take your word for it. You seem like you know what you're talking about.

[He's actually kind of impressed with all that. Not that he'll let that show. ]

So like, suits. Cause I can't imagine anyone fighting crime in slacks and a dinner jacket. It's not the forties anymore, man.

[ He's not even being that specific there. He can get a whole lot worse when it comes to science talk, so just be thankful he kept it simple. ]

The whole point is I might not know.

[ All of it is too much of an uncertainty, and the very laws of physics here likely differ from the ones in his world, even if only by little. But he gets that Peter wants to move away from the subject, so he goes along with it. ]

No, not those kinds of suits either. [ Well, Tony does have those kinds of suits too, but he doesn't usually fight in them. ] Mostly it's what you'd expect to see on a superhero, just... more stylish, I guess. And better quality. Some of them are more stealth-oriented. And one of us has this suit or armor made mainly of titanium alloy.

All that talk but you're still just like the rest of us.

[He's trying to smile as he says it so it doesn't sound mean. Which might work of his smile came in anything other than 'shit eating' mode.]

Armor? You know I saw a guy walking around in armor earlier. That your guy? Cause he just looked like something off a bad TV movie about Camelot or something. But like, if that's his thing, have at it. Don't think it's going to scare the bad guys, though.

Well... yes, basically.

[ Oh he wishes he were just like everyone else, in the sense that most everyone doesn't walk around with a monster locked away inside. As for his intelligence, he does know he's smarter than a lot of people, but that doesn't mean he'd brag about it, or even thinks he's better than anyone else just because of it. ]

What? Oh-- Al. No, that's not him. It's a different kind of armor. More modern, high-tech, with propulsors, sensors, certain types of weapons incorporated into it too, among other things. It can fly, for instance. It's also highly resistant so it can withstand stronger attacks or harsher environmental conditions. [ A pause. ] I don't suppose you've ever heard of Iron Man, have you?

I've heard of Black Sabbath, best single they've come out with yet. Now the time is here for Iron Man to spread fear. Come on, great song. [He's more than aware of Iron Man the person, thanks to his sister's memories. But he's not passing up the chance to talk about his favorite subject.]

But I guess that you're not wanting to talk life changing music. And I don't know what propulsors are. Or how modern you mean. It was 1973 last I checked, but Wanda kind of clued me in that its not that in other places. Like, Pong just happened and it's the biggest thing ever.

Actually, I think that's where the name came from. The media came up with it, if I remember right. [ Only somewhat fitting, considering the suits aren't even made of iron, but Bruce won't pick at that detail. ]

Yes, ah... a little more modern than that? [ He frowns a little. ] I'm sorry, aren't you supposed to be Wanda's twin? Because she's from 2015, and if you really are twins, then... she should look much older. [ Immediately it makes him think if this isn't one of those parallel universe situations. It's the only way this could make sense. ]

Well, at least someone had good taste. If I was Osbourne, I'd sue. Unless he's dead. Dude, are the Black Sabbath members still alive?

Yeah, all that chaotic universes stuff you mentioned? Kind of applies here. Cause I am supposed to be her twin. Older twin, actually. But it's like, different dimensions or something. I mean, my Wanda wasn't- [He wiggles his fingers in an attempt to mimic her powers.] Or a superhero or anything. Just my sister. Not that's bad or anything, cause Wanda's great either way.

[ Bruce chuckles a little at that. ] No, he's not dead. They're all very much alive, actually, don't worry. [ He's pretty sure they still do concerts and tours and everything, though Tony might be the best person to ask about that. Not like Bruce has kept up with popular culture much during the past few years.

He looks at Peter's hands, shoulders tensing a little when he realizes he's referring to her powers. ] Right. Yes, that-- explains it, then. The multiverse thing. [ He presses his lips a little. ] Sorry you're here without her.

[ Except he's not, not really - it's a little petty of him, but one Wanda on board the ship is already more than he can stand right now. Powers or not. ]

Oh, well. That's good, cool. At least music in the future can't suck too bad.

[Which is clearly the important take-away here.]

It's not that big of a deal. [He shrugs it off. It hurts a little, just as he imagines it hurts he's not Pietro. But:] Family's family. You know? At least I got a Wanda. Could have been worse.

Well, there's a little bit of everything, so I guess there's something to everyone's tastes.

[ Bruce can appreciate knowing there are nice things in the future. Even if they're small things, like good music. ]

I get it, yes. [ Clearly the two Wandas have some things in common, or Peter wouldn't feel this way. He figures the same goes for Wanda and her own brother. It's always a comfort, in a way. ] Guess you'll have to get used to being the younger twin. And by more than just a few minutes.

[Peter smiles at that. He's an easy to please teenager, at least when it comes to the promise of music.]

Don't think I'll be able to get used to it. It's not like that kind of thing is supposed to happen. But, like, I'll deal. You're dealing with it, right? You said you've been here awhile. The time crap has got to get easier.

Sure. Most things tend to be easier to get used to, over time. Well, assuming we continue to perceive time in a linear progression. [ Yeah Peter's not going to get that joke, is he? Probably not. Anyway. ]

And people adapt. It's how we survive. Here, or anywhere. [ Speaking from personal experience, on more than one thing. ] At least we're not alone out here.

[Peter is not grasping what Bruce is throwing down.] Linear?

Yeah, I guess. They got a pretty big crew going of kidnapped workers. Or do you mean in the alien sense? Cause I think we've already got some of those around anyway. I've seen at least one, for sure.

Never mind. Science joke. [ Really, Peter doesn't want to hear Bruce talk in length about time as a nonlinear progression. ]

Well... both, I guess. Out here we're all aliens, if you think about it. None of us are in our homeworld, so.

Right. Taking your word for it, doc. Bet it would get a lot of laughs around the lab.

Yeah, but. [Mind blown.] That's. I didn't think about that. That's freaky. Are you like some kind of professor or something? You're being way logical.

I'm pretty sure most people haven't thought of it. [ He smiles a little, shaking his head. ] No. I'm a physicist. I did work at a university at one point, but I never gave any lectures or anything of the kind.

University, huh? Wouldn't that mean you have to have like a, uh, doctorate? [He sounds the word out slowly, for him, indicating he's not entirely sure what he's talking about.] So not Professor Story Guy, but Doctor Story Guy.

And, no offense, but you seem like the kind of person who'd like giving lectures about this kind of stuff.

I do, yes. A PhD in nuclear physics. [ With a lot of specialized work thrown in there too, but he won't get into too much detail. Not like it would interest Peter much - unless it involved a demonstration of sorts, and he's definitely not going to do that. ]

No offense taken. It does sound kind of nice. [ Nothing wrong with being a professor, after all, or enjoying sharing some of his knowledge. ] There's someone organizing a few classes here, actually. I signed up as an instructor, so if you ever feel like learning a thing or two about physics... [ Look, his classes will be super fun, alright. Also, science is great. ]

Nuclear? Like, nukes? Bombs. Dude! Respect. [He probably shouldn't think dangerous things are so interesting and cool but that look of awe is genuine.]

I already signed up for some chemistry classes, got a good deal on it. No offense, doc, but I kind of need a reason to show up. You have no idea how hard it is to pay attention to this kind of stuff. Sitting for an hour while someone talks? Torture.

No, nucleus. Atomic nucleus, very tiny little thing. Nuclear energy does derive from that field, but I don't work in weapons. [ Said with a hint of distaste left in his mouth, but he ignores it. Not something he even wants to think about now. ]

No offense taken. [ He smiles a little and shakes his head. ] Physics isn't for everyone. Tell you what, if I ever set up some kind of fun experiment, I'll let you know. You can drop by if you want. [ Or he could take part in an experiment, even. What with the speeds he can pull off... ]

[Oh. Boo. Don't mind that disappointed look on his face.] Slightly less respect.

What kind of experiments? All we ever did was boring stuff with microscopes and cut up dead frogs. I hope your idea of fun is better. But I might show up. Better than working, right?

Because I don't make weapons? [ Flat stare right here for you, Peter. ]

That's more biology than it is physics. I'm not sure about what kind of experiments I could set up yet, but for instance, things related to light, air, electricity, gravity, vacuum, acceleration... I'm sure I can come up with demonstrations to interest just about anyone. [ He tips his head a little. ] Though I would prefer it you wouldn't use me as an excuse to skip out on your duties. [ But of course Peter is free to do what he wants. Not like Bruce can stop him, nor would he even if he could. ]

Didn't you ever watch those duck and cover movies in class? Explosions are cool. Warheads will defeat communism or something like that.[He puts on a toothy grin and stares right back.]

Well, I do have an invested interest in acceleration. [A little chuckle. Yes, he is delusional enough to think he's actually funny.] And hey, no worries. I won't get you into any trouble. I'm not that much of an ass. If I skip out on work, I'll be the only name that comes up.

Right. Something like that. [ Bruce sounds about as unconvinced as if Peter had just told him that fish can walk. ]

I can tell you do. [ For what it's worth, he does look mildly amused at the remark. ] That is appreciated. I'm not covering for you and your hookie-playing tendencies.

[Peter just laughs. Oh, Bruce. He can tell you're going to be a lot of fun.]

Nope. I can cover for myself. Besides, who's going to miss a glorified janitor? [He's not going to skip out on bodyguard duties yet. He's not that interested in pissing off the captains.] I haven't really been doing that much anyway.
