Where: The Mini Colony of the Runoff & the Moira.
What: The Moira stops to resupply at the closest planet and things get weird.

E V E N T L O G

Between the Perspectives "but in your future, the you i see is exactly the person you always wanted to be." Supplies have been loaded onto the ship, and the captains have encouraged all crew members to explore with the added notice that this will be the last planetary stop (hopefully) until the Moira reaches the Midway Hub. While seemingly uneventful on the Moira, the mini colony has been thrumming with adventure and has offered its visitors the opportunity to explore. To those who have indulged, some experienced great changes and others discovered enlightening information about the Ingress and the very ship some have called home for over a year. Later in the month, the Lamaria hold the closing ceremony of the Desiderium Festival (which was noted on the prior event log) . The burgundy and lime colors of the celebration slowly fade into black and vermillion, and small fires are now in place for visitors to throw their written notes into. Everyone who participates will be blessed by one of the Lamaria (they will visit the ship as well), and the MID will be able to only translate bits and pieces of what this blessing means. "Experienced loss — every story is different — and saying goodbye — not to know — understanding lies in the mingling of holding on and letting go." ☄ TRANSFORMATION CENTRAL For some, it might be due to a touch or a look. For others, it might not be any of those things at all, and something that just happens. Either way, shortly after the blessing occurs, you will find yourself changing. Your character’s body will slowly transform into the physical likeness of another being on the Mini Colony. The effects of this change may last as short as a day or as long as a week, but each come with their own stipulations—advantages and disadvantages. This is limited to one as the blessing itself only allows for “a little understanding”. Linked below are some of the possible transformations that your character can go through. Players can choose either one of the mod-supplied suggestions or choose the form of another already living on the Moira. ☄ THE FEAR MACHINE Paranoia writes the checks, we're dangling here like a marionette. Here we go again, the world is coming to an end. Engage the fear machine and collect the dividends. While the festival is beautiful, and some have found enlightenment and understanding here, there are those on the mini colony who don't enjoy the festivities. In a secluded room on the fifth floor in one of the buildings in the Science District, there is one such person who finds the religious festival to be a nuisance—one who should be stopped. Thinking that disrupting the blessings and celebration will somehow "get back" at the Lamaria for impeding their work (some of those who have transformed got into the building a few years ago and destroyed this person's property). Pettiness thrives, and they create something they dub The Fear Machine. Yet, while the science is sound, the technology itself is not. In the middle of the mini colony, the machine is set off, and bolts of transparent energy erupt and spark out around it, stretching as far as the docked ships. Since the technology wasn't created properly to sustain the energy, it doesn't spread out evenly like they had hoped. Some are hit. Some are not. Those who are will develop a sudden and overwhelming phobia that will last well into the beginning of November. The machine might be turned off and left behind, but the obsessive fear has only just begun. ( ooc; For questions, go here. [Her entire body goes tense when someone tries to jump her, her first instinct was to use her power. Which is exactly what she does in an attempt to send whoever was trying to attack her airborne across the hallway.]

[ He's so close and then suddenly he's hitting the wall behind him with a grunt before he knows what's happening. Crumpling to the ground, he sits there panting and trying to catch his breath after having the wind knocking out of him. ]

[Daisy keeps her distance because she's not an idiot, but she does move a little bit closer.]

What the hell are you trying to do?

[ Kobra rubs at his face before looking up at her with his red eyes. His lungs were still burning a little and there was a dull ache at the back of his head. ]

Think I was tryin' to eat you and not in the fun way.

[ He runs his fingers through his hair almost self-consciously. Wow, he is not okay and he needs to find a way to actually get away from people until it stops. ]

You should prob'ly run or somethin'.

[Considering she's seen robots the red eyes don't frighten her much. What he says next though, that does. Although she does her best not to show it. Especially since he's still on the ground and it seems she has the advantage in this situation.]

You're warning me?

Don't wanna hurt anyone.

[ He just wants the feeling in his stomach to go away. Control's never been his best skill and this has him really losing what little he's got.

With a shaky breath, he starts to push himself up to his feet again. ]

[Daisy takes a step back, preparing to take him down again. She tries not to use her powers too much, especially when she's not in her suit where her gauntlets can help keep the damage down to the bones in her arms to a minimum.]

Then don't do this, and I won't hurt you again.

[ He nods, shaking his head, but then his nostrils flare. He's so hungry and everything in him is screaming that there's only one way to make it stop.

With a heavy exhale, he takes a step to the side and then moves swiftly towards her again, teeth bared. ]

[Well, the last person with super speed she had met turned out to be an Inhuman. At least she was nice and non-bitey.

Her reaction was pretty slow considering he was a lot faster than her, but she did take a swing at him.]

[ He moves to dodge the swing, taking it as more of a graze. It's not something that would faze him in a fight normally and it certainly doesn't now. He grapples to get a grip on her arms, throwing his body weight at her. ]

[Well fuck. Considering she was closer to the wall already, her back slams against it as she struggles to break free from his hold on her.]

You really don't want to do this.

Kinda do, though.

[ He's practically panting into her ear as he leans in. There's something in him that keeps reminding him that she's right. He doesn't want to hurt her and he knows that he's going to, but he needs this the way he needs air and no matter how long he tries to hold his breath, eventually his mouth opens of its own accord. ]

[That was just a big pile of nope rolled into one. Feeling and hearing him breathe near her ear has her stomach clenching in disgust. In an a last ditch effort, since her hands are caught up in his, swings her leg up in an attempt to kick him in the groin.]

[ He's really not expecting that, too focused on the sound of her heartbeat. Fuck.

Instead of blocking it, he's completely blindsided, crumpling to the ground like a sack of twigs. Hungry, angry, sad twigs. ]

[As soon as he's on the ground, Daisy is booking it down the hall.

At least a kick to the nuts is enough to take down even a vampire?]

[ It takes him a moment to recover, but once he does, he's up and gaining on her with incredible speed. His fangs are drawn as if he can taste her blood on the air and once she's in reach again, he starts to grab for her like his life depends on it. Maybe it does. ]

[This time she's at a disadvantage when he grabs her because he's behind her. She's pretty much just trying to elbow the shit out of him.]

[ He takes a few bruises, but he's had so much worse that he barely flinches as he ducks his head to bite her shoulder. ]

[Well if he expected anything other than her screaming...

She's also still trying to kick and elbow the shit out of him. Although he clearly doesn't care.]

[ He tries to get a hand over her mouth, but he's not as his most coordinated when he's struggling just to try to sink his teeth in. Movies make this look so much easier than it is! ]

[The saddest part is she's actually trying too, and normally this would be enough to get someone off of her. He's clearly stronger than her and way faster. Even as his hand covers her mouth she's still screaming and fighting, being especially loud when she feels his teeth graze the skin on her neck.]

[ And that's really all the control he can manage before he sinks his teeth in as carefully as he can given the circumstances. ]

[Well if she can't fight him off anymore, the least she can do is scream. Which is exactly what she's doing.]

[ It's that scream that snaps him out of whatever hunger-trance he's got himself into. He pulls his teeth away as carefully as he can manage while shaky and rushed. ]

I'm sorry. Fuck. Fuck!

[ He lets go and scrambles back, panting and trying not to look at her. ]

Shitfuck! I'm sorry!

[With him no longer holding her up, she crumples to the ground in a heap. One hand coming up to the wound on her neck.]

Fuck you.

[Daisy rasped out, raising her hand in an attempt to use her power on him again. Except it's not nearly as strong as before and at most would just nudge him back.]
