Between the Perspectives
"but in your future, the you i see is exactly the person you always wanted to be."

Supplies have been loaded onto the ship, and the captains have encouraged all crew members to explore with the added notice that this will be the last planetary stop (hopefully) until the Moira reaches the Midway Hub. While seemingly uneventful on the Moira, the mini colony has been thrumming with adventure and has offered its visitors the opportunity to explore. To those who have indulged, some experienced great changes and others discovered enlightening information about the Ingress and the very ship some have called home for over a year.

Later in the month, the Lamaria hold the closing ceremony of the Desiderium Festival (which was noted on the prior event log) . The burgundy and lime colors of the celebration slowly fade into black and vermillion, and small fires are now in place for visitors to throw their written notes into. Everyone who participates will be blessed by one of the Lamaria (they will visit the ship as well), and the MID will be able to only translate bits and pieces of what this blessing means. "Experienced loss — every story is different — and saying goodbye — not to know — understanding lies in the mingling of holding on and letting go."

TRANSFORMATION CENTRAL
For some, it might be due to a touch or a look. For others, it might not be any of those things at all, and something that just happens. Either way, shortly after the blessing occurs, you will find yourself changing. Your character’s body will slowly transform into the physical likeness of another being on the Mini Colony. The effects of this change may last as short as a day or as long as a week, but each come with their own stipulations—advantages and disadvantages. This is limited to one as the blessing itself only allows for “a little understanding”. Linked below are some of the possible transformations that your character can go through. Players can choose either one of the mod-supplied suggestions or choose the form of another already living on the Moira.

THE FEAR MACHINE
Paranoia writes the checks, we're dangling here like a marionette. Here we go again, the world is coming to an end. Engage the fear machine and collect the dividends.

While the festival is beautiful, and some have found enlightenment and understanding here, there are those on the mini colony who don't enjoy the festivities. In a secluded room on the fifth floor in one of the buildings in the Science District, there is one such person who finds the religious festival to be a nuisance—one who should be stopped. Thinking that disrupting the blessings and celebration will somehow "get back" at the Lamaria for impeding their work (some of those who have transformed got into the building a few years ago and destroyed this person's property). Pettiness thrives, and they create something they dub The Fear Machine. Yet, while the science is sound, the technology itself is not.

In the middle of the mini colony, the machine is set off, and bolts of transparent energy erupt and spark out around it, stretching as far as the docked ships. Since the technology wasn't created properly to sustain the energy, it doesn't spread out evenly like they had hoped. Some are hit. Some are not. Those who are will develop a sudden and overwhelming phobia that will last well into the beginning of November. The machine might be turned off and left behind, but the obsessive fear has only just begun.

( ooc; For questions, go here. This log will run into the beginning of November; any threads here can be claimed for bonus activity the following activity check as well. )

Liquid's pretty sure he senses a potential target, and he stalks after them, ready to quench his thirst by any means necessary. However, soon enough, the sound of his name stops him in his tracks. The voice is unfamiliar, but with a tinge of familiarity to it, and considering they know his name it's clearly a crewmember.

He turns, showing no sign of surprise, although he definitely doesn't recognize the wolfish creature standing before him at first. After a few moments of staring, though, and a good look at the monster's features, he thinks he's got an idea? "Snake?" he asks, a wide grin slowly overtaking his face, revealing his vampiresque fangs. "Almost didn't recognize you underneath all the hair."

Snake certainly looks worse for wear. Liquid doesn't look massively different than he usually does; while the extremely pale skin, red eyes, and fangs aren't part of his normal ensemble, he's still pretty easily recognizable as Liquid Snake. He's got a look of almost-desperation, though, one he doesn't realize he's giving off; the thirst isn't easily quenched.

Speaking of, seems his target's headed far in the opposite direction while he was distracted by Snake's appearance. His eyebrows furrow a bit in disappointment, but he's used to his brother showing up to ruin his plans. There's plenty of bloodbags on this colony and he can always find someone else.

"I was just heading out for something to drink. Something wrong?"
soldiergenes: (and i keep running into strangers)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-10-24 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
While Snake might be walking on two legs right now, the urge to drop down onto four seems to be ever-present, and it's taking most of his ironclad willpower to keep him from doing that. He can only imagine the sorts of comments that Liquid would make if he lets the new, animal part of him take over too much.

Granted, Liquid isn't looking so great himself, something Snake picks up on as soon as he sees those sharp fangs and red eyes. It shouldn't be a relief that someone else has also changed (if not as dramatically), and Snake can see that Liquid's stuck with his own kind of yearning.

For what, is the question, not that Snake can even answer that about himself.

Something to drink, Liquid says. It looks like he's set aside his status as a celebrity for the moment, then. At the question, Snake narrows his wild eyes and tilts his head to one side, in a mannerism not so unfamiliar. Strangely enough, speaking to someone he knows helps him to better reassert his own personality, at least for now.

"You tell me," he growls.
saveyourserpent: (smug)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-10-25 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
If Snake did something like that... well, maybe Liquid would eventually let him hear the end of it, but he'd certainly be amused for a lifetime. Even though he has his own unpleasantly instinctual problems.

Problems that he is trying to treat as not-problems that are definitely not here, although he's doing a terrible job of it. One would think drinking some blood already would solve the problem, but either he needs a hell of a lot more, or he'll never stop being thirsty, and either option isn't exactly a good time. Where are the kind of people who are really, really into vampires when you need them?

He seems slightly taken aback by his words at first, then he laughs, shaking his head. "That's the sort of question you yourself can only really answer, isn't it? Hell, far as I know you like whatever's happened. I'm sure someone who's undergone this whole bloody process is having a lovely time." Whoever it is, it's not him right now. Oh, he doesn't completely hate it, and he's sure once he's got this thirst thing under control, it'll be great, but still.

"You certainly seem to have got it rough, brother."
soldiergenes: (i am the only son")

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-10-26 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
It had been an attempt to get some information out of Liquid, but that clearly hasn't translated properly. Snake's irritation spikes and he finds himself digging the claws of his feet (or are they hind paws?) into the ground. It's hard to imagine that anyone would actually enjoy going through a change as dramatic as this, something that has only made Snake feel like a stranger within his own body. Not to mention the agony of the transformation process...

Still, he would rather not focus on him. His changes are obvious just by looking at him, and any urges he might be feeling will go unmentioned if at all possible. That's between him and his own brain, thank you very much.

"Feels a little like I got the short end of the stick," he snarls. Then again, he hasn't seen what everyone else has turned into, and Liquid's changes remain largely a mystery. Snake looks him up and down once more before grunting out a question. "So, what happened to you?"
saveyourserpent: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-10-27 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Liquid notices Snake's irritation, or hostility, or whatever the heck it is; it's probably got something to do with the change. And the fact that Snake and Liquid get irritated by each other easily. Meanwhile, (he thinks) he's as cool as a cucumber.

"Looks like it too." Even with all the bloodlust in the world, Liquid's grateful that he at least resembles himself. Being a Sangui might not be the same as being human, but at least pretty much everything's where it should be.

He can't stand having a beard; no way he could handle having hair covering his body like that.

He waved a hand flippantly, although it doesn't come across quite as casual as he'd hoped. Not that he notices. "Oh, you know. Get an innocuous seeming blessing, end up a bloody vampire. The usual. Have to admit... I could get used to the fangs."
soldiergenes: (and do my time)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-10-27 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
The dig that Liquid takes at him spurs Snake to growl lowly in the back of his throat, the same sound that a dog makes when it's about to start barking its head off. Yeah, he's well aware of how he looks right now, he doesn't need the cheeky reminder.

It's difficult enough for them to be around each other when they're both human, but whatever's stirring in Snake is spoiling for a fight and Liquid gives him the perfect reason to act on that when he admits to what he's changed into.

"A vampire," Snake echoes in a much rougher voice, chest heaving and fingers twitching as he looks at those pointed canines set into Liquid's mouth. At least now his theory about the blessing has been confirmed.

"So that's what you're up to." Snake had known Liquid was skulking around for some reason, but if he really is a vampire, then it's not hard to put two and two together. He's planning to attack someone.
saveyourserpent: (glare)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-10-28 10:40 am (UTC)(link)
Despite Liquid's currently insatiable thirst, he's keeping it together. Barely, but it's at least better than when the changes first occurred and blood was just about all he could think about.

He's still got to contend with his instincts, but at least they're not controlling him. For now; the thirst is always there, almost like he's always had it, and if his brother delays him too long he's not so sure what would happen.

Not that he'd skip out on the chance to give him shit for being worse off than him, though. Can't miss that opportunity.

"No, I'm just taking a lovely nighttime stroll. Of course that's what I'm up to. Being a vampire." Sure, he gets the implications of what Snake means, but why should it matter? Not like he's gonna kill anyone.

"And you? Out howling at the moon or something?"
soldiergenes: (and your heart begins to doubt)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-10-28 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
The urge to howl at the moon hasn't hit him yet, but Snake wouldn't be surprised if it happened eventually. Who would have thought that there would be alien creatures out in space that would so closely resemble the fictional monsters from Earth's stories?

Either way, he doesn't deign Liquid's question with a response.

Snake's already had to deal with one bloodsucking freak back on Big Shell. Obviously Vamp had been a different scenario, but the point is that someone's sucked Snake's blood before, and he knows it's not something most people are going to just consent to.

"You can't just attack people because you can't keep your own urges under control," Snake snaps, even though he looks more and more like he's getting ready to do just that. Liquid needs to be stopped before he hurts some innocent bystander, and isn't it Snake's job to take a part in that?

Not to mention that right now, there's a feral part of him that just wants to pounce. He settles back on his haunches, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
saveyourserpent: (judge)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-10-28 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Liquid's learned to not be too surprised by anything in space anymore. Space vampires and werewolves and whatever else he's seen around the colony, or whatever people've turned into since that blessing? Sure. Why not. Although the bloodlust has been fogging things up a lot, and it's only recently he really got control of his situation. Even though he's still thirsty.

It's hard being a bloodsucking freak.

"Who says I'm just going to attack people?" he asks, in the tone of voice that indicates that's exactly what he was planning to do. "Clearly I can control it, or I wouldn't be standing here talking to you, would I? If there's others... like this on the colony, then perhaps they're a normal occurrence, and there's bound to be someone who might like letting someone have a little taste."

It's a pretty good excuse that he just pulled out of his ass.

"Suppose I'm looking for a goth club."
soldiergenes: (liars and thieves)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-10-30 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
The problem being that Snake is geared in to how to look right through Liquid's bullshit by this point. He better be, seeing how Liquid had managed to pull the wool over his eyes with that whole Miller stunt, acting as his mentor and actually getting away with it. Even if it had been over Codec, Snake shouldn't have fallen for something like that.

While thinking back on that actually does help ground Snake a little more, he also isn't planning to let Liquid wander off into the night and attack some unsuspecting person, regardless of his claims that he'll ask first.

Without any response or any warning, Snake stalks forward, moving surprisingly quick for his size. He lifts a clawed hand and presses it hard against Liquid's chest, aiming to shove him against the nearest wall. He growls in his face, hot breath gusting out against Liquid's skin.

Wolf breath probably doesn't smell that great, either.

"You honestly expect me to believe that?" he snarls.
saveyourserpent: (grunt)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-10-30 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes, Liquid still can't believe how Snake had managed to fall for that. Once something they would have been able to pull off without a hitch with Decoy Octopus, fallen apart through circumstance, it was such a risky part of the ever-changing plan that could have ruined everything much earlier than it did finally crumble, and yet, well. He'd managed to string Snake along for quite some time.

If only everything had gone that well, maybe he wouldn't even be here.

After stating his case (and lying through his teeth) he figures it's about time to leave and even starts to take a step. So it's definitely sudden when he finds himself shoved into the wall, the surprise hitting him before he has a chance to even think about dodging the blow. With an indignant grunt, he sneers at his brother's unpleasant growling, and everything that goes with it.

"You are absolutely disgusting," he says, in about the most offended tone he can muster. He grabs at Snake's hand (paw?) and moves to shove it away. While he still needs to be better fed, he at least has the Sangui strength to go along with what he's got naturally.

"I don't expect you to do anything, brother," he hisses. "But I'd appreciate it if you'd keep your bloody dog slobber out of my personal space."
soldiergenes: (there was no one in the town)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-10-31 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Being called disgusting doesn't do much except for roll off of him like water from a duck's back. Snake can't take any of Liquid's needling seriously, even if there is a part of him that's rightfully mortified by what he's been turned into. He figures he's still got the higher ground here if he's not planning to go suck anyone's blood.

Then again, he's just about ready to get into a fierce fight with someone who's supposed to be on his side, weak and artificial as that alliance might be, but Liquid's hardly an innocent.

"This isn't about you appreciating anything," Snake counters even as he's shoved back enough that he has to take a couple of stabilizing steps. He still uses his much more intimidating body to block Liquid from going anywhere, personal space very much invaded.

"Don't think I'm letting you go anywhere." Not without one hell of a fight, anyway. Snake isn't going to let there be more blood on his hands because he took his eyes off of his mess of a brother.
saveyourserpent: (dramatic)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-10-31 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
While Liquid started out a little amused by his brother's appearance, any trace of that amusement is gone, now. There's the hunger, the anger at Snake's behavior, the impatience of not being able to go out and just drink.

As human-ish as he may look compared to Snake, he doesn't exactly feel like it.

"Oh? Not content to watch your brother die just one way, are you? You'd like to watch me starve to death too?"

Dramatic, yes, but the need just won't go away. It's more than just a hunger, and if Snake keeps this up, he's not sure what'll happen.

"I know you like to think you're saving the world and all that, but I don't think you quite understand. This isn't just something I can turn off. It's... bloody hell, it's everything." He glares at him, trying to mentally prepare escape routes. Like hell his brother's going to stop him from doing anything this time.

"I'm not going to kill anyone," he adds, as an afterthought.
soldiergenes: (i try to wash my hands for you)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-11-02 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It's absolutely dramatic, and somehow even in this form Snake manages to roll his eyes. Some things about Liquid will never change. If anything, this new hunger he's stuck with has only made him more frustrating to deal with.

While there's no denying that Snake isn't fully of control of himself, he knows enough to realize that he can't let Liquid out of his sight until this mess fixes itself. No matter how much Liquid might want to get away from him right now, that isn't going to happen.

"You're not going to starve," he insists. "This'll all be over in a few days." It's happened so many times by now that Snake hardly even questions it anymore. Space enjoys turning them into things, changing them, but it never lasts for long.

"You think you won't kill anyone, but if the hunger's as bad as you're making it sound? You can't really trust yourself to be careful." Snake's hand presses against the wall, sharpened claws digging in to bracket Liquid, trapping him further. The message is clear: he's not going anywhere.
saveyourserpent: (grunt)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-11-03 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
It's dramatic, and desperate, and he's trying to play it off as if it isn't, but he needs blood more than anything else right now. He hates the feeling of vulnerability he gets from it, despite the extra strength and speed coursing through his body. It's distracting, and before he'd accidentally attacked someone, it had taken control of his thoughts.

But he can't very well tell Snake any of that, because that'd just make things even more annoying.

"A few days?" Liquid's not so sure. His glass arm never returned to flesh, after all, and he's certain that even if he does turn back to normal, that smoke issue he's been dealing with isn't going to go away. "So you intend to stay here for a few days, then, hm? Better hope you need just as little nourishment as I apparently do, according to you, or you're going to starve to death just the same."

Not quite a threat, no. Just a warning.

"I can trust myself a hell of a lot better than I can trust you," he snarls, fangs bared in an attempt to intimidate. Once he makes it seem like he's apparently trapped, though, he quickly ducks and tries to make a break for it, hoping to trip his brother up along the way.
soldiergenes: (and no one in the field)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-11-03 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Food isn't something that Snake has thought too hard on since his transformation. He hasn't wanted to, but he has also hasn't had any cravings, at least not the kind that makes his stomach tie itself into knots. He's pretty sure he doesn't have any urges to drink blood or anything along those lines. So Liquid's argument falls flat. Snake won't need to starve himself, because he isn't going to try and take bites out of anyone.

Not any innocent bystanders, anyway.

Liquid, however, is neither of those things. The baring of fangs would have been more than enough to set Snake off, that last straw that would drive him to attack, but then Liquid tries to maneuver around him and that's the end of any shade of decency.

There is a part of him now that wants to hunt, to dig his teeth and his claws into something, and that's what drives Snake to leap after Liquid in an impressive leap that allows him to cross most of that distance in one shot.

If he manages to reach Liquid, he'll tackle him to the ground with a scrape of his claws through any part of his flesh that he can find.
saveyourserpent: (pilot)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-11-04 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if all Snake's going to do is stand here, no matter what he needs to eat or drink, he won't be doing it as long as he's keeping Liquid here. That's his reasoning, anyway. Not that it matters, because he's making his great escape, no matter what Snake's trying to do.

Well, at least, that's the plan.

Like hell he's letting his brother dictate what he gets to eat or where he gets to go. Nobody's going to miss a little bit of blood. He's fast, he's strong, but he's hungry, and he doesn't react as fast as he should. Not that he expects his brother to catch up with him so fast in the first place. Snake knocks him down, and he feels claws digging into the fleshy part of his arm.

Oh, fuck. That hurts. Although the really painful part is the fact that he wasn't able to get away. Not that he's just going to let his brother beat up on him, though.

It's been a long time since he actually fought Snake, and he intends to get away from him in any way he can. Now that he's, well, grounded, he grabs at Snake's arm, trying to pull him down and pull himself up at the same time. He'll deal with the bleeding (oh god he's so hungry) later.

"Can't just leave well enough alone, can you?"
soldiergenes: (with my worn out shoes)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-11-04 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the thing, the two of them had actually been doing pretty well. Maybe they had come close to blows a few times on the ship, but for the most part they avoided each other well enough to ensure that their arguments would never escalate to that level. Snake realizes that getting into a feud with Liquid generally isn't going to help anything about their ship life, but this is a special circumstance.

Neither of them are quite themselves right now, and both of them are struggling with cravings and urges that they've never had to contend with on this level. It had been inevitable that it would become a fight, and a nasty one at that.

The thing is, Snake's good at close-quarters fighting too, when he has to be. Maybe Liquid's punches had been a little stronger than his during their fistfight on RAY, but in the end Snake's technique (and his calm, while Liquid had been unraveling) had won the fight.

So when Liquid pulls him down, Snake actually sees it as an opportunity, snapping with those giant teeth in close proximity to Liquid's face. He doesn't actually bite him, but it's a close thing. Now that he's actually torn through flesh with his claws, he digs them in further, relishing in the vindication of catching a target.

He's past the point of talking now and he doesn't care. All he wants to do is put Liquid in a state where he won't be able to go hunt down anyone else.
saveyourserpent: (grunt)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-11-05 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Liquid has definitely shown a hell of a lot of restraint, that's for certain. The fact that everyone's supposed to work together on the ship's a pretty big contributing factor, of course. Hopefully when all this is over they can return to a slightly less combative existence, as offended as Liquid'll be.

He can't even imagine getting to that point right now, though.

He's sure he's got him once he pulls him down, ready to get to his feet and make a break for it, but before he gets the chance, Snake snaps his teeth in his face with that disgusting dog breath and it takes all Liquid can muster not to recoil. The hunger is really messing up his reflexes, which just pisses him off more. He should be better at this, a better match, but desperation is ruining everything.

Getting away is his number one priority. Any other day, retaliation might be the name of the game, but he just needs blood, and like hell he's going to bother with his brother's. Not with all that fur in the way. It'd probably taste disgusting anyway.

Actually, he should probably get that arm looked at.

Trying to rip his injured arm out of Snake's grasp, he hisses wordlessly, fangs still bared. While he'd rather just get the hell out of here and find blood, part of him definitely wants a fight, no matter what. And if that's what Snake wants, well.

He just cracks his head off Snake's, what with it being so close and all. Desperate times, desperate measures.
soldiergenes: (and pray you never feel)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-11-07 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Ridiculous as this whole situation might be, Snake would actually prefer that Liquid takes his blood as opposed to some unconnected stranger. On a subconscious level, maybe that's what he's trying to do here. If he can drive Liquid to sink his teeth into him, then that would solve at least one of their many problems.

For the moment, though, all he gets for his trouble is a headbutt. Snake snarls, pain erupting behind his eyes from their heads knocking together. He recoils, his grip easing off of Liquid just slightly as the ringing in his head drowns everything out for a few seconds.

It might provide Liquid with a small opening, but it's not going to last long. Still, if he wants to get his shots in, here's his chance...
saveyourserpent: (glare)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-11-07 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Liquid rips out of Snake's grip and scrambles to his feet, ignoring the pain that came from his last-ditch effort. It's a lot to contend with when he adds in the extreme hunger and the pain in his injured arm, but it's not like he can't deal with it for a few seconds. He could make his great escape now, but pride gives him pause.

Why should he run? It's Snake who started it in the first place, isn't it? So maybe Liquid should finish it.

Before Snake gets the chance to recover (hopefully, anyway), he closes back in, gripping a handful of fur with the hand on his injured arm. He goes for an attempted punch to the head with the good one, and then when his body decides he just can't take it anymore, he moves to sink his fangs into whatever part of his arm he can get to. It's not the neck, but it'll do.

Apparently, if he gets hungry enough, he can deal with the fur for a little while.
soldiergenes: (if you'll ever make it through)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-11-09 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
That punch Snake manages to avoid, even while still seeing stars, but the bite in his arm he's less prepared for. Even though he might have been aiming for this outcome, the sting of pain makes him hiss and he has to actively fight the urge to yank his arm away. For one thing, doing that when the fangs are already sunk into his skin isn't going to help anything.

For another, this is probably the best case scenario.

Every instinct screams at Snake to fight back, to shove Liquid away and then attack him again, with more intent to harm this time around. But instead he focuses on the rush that comes from losing blood and goes still, watching silently as Liquid sucks at his arm. This is nothing short of surreal.

He has no idea what his blood even tastes like right now, if it's still human or if it's something else. But it seems to be getting the job done, and he can handle losing a pint or two if that's what it takes to keep Liquid in line. At least he hadn't gone for the jugular the way Vamp did, so he'll take it.
saveyourserpent: (small)

[personal profile] saveyourserpent 2016-11-09 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Liquid was indeed expecting more of a fight, but that's not something that's necessary as the taste and smell of blood take over his senses. It's not quite the same taste as other humanoids he's tried so far, but it's blood and he has no need to be picky.

Finding somewhere to bite is a little harder with the fur to contend with, but he just lets his instincts guide him. They seem to have this down.

There's a part of him that can't help but entertain the idea of never letting go until his brother's finally dead like he'd wanted that long ago, but the logical part of him squashes that thought just as quickly as he'd had it.

The last thing he needs is to get kicked off the ship for a vampiric blood rampage.

When he's had enough to be sated for the time being, with plenty left for Snake to keep being alive and everything, he pulls his fangs out, taking a step back and making a show of disgustedly pulling fur out of his mouth. Looks like he's calmed down a bit.

"That wasn't quite my intention, but..."
soldiergenes: (out of your bad dreams)

[personal profile] soldiergenes 2016-11-10 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
If there had been any indication that Liquid was planning to drain him dry, Snake would have done something about it. He's willing to take a hit for the team, so to speak, and donate his blood to the cause. If it solves the problem and makes it so that Liquid doesn't have to corner some unsuspecting alien to get what he needs, then so be it. But Snake sure as hell isn't going to die for something like this.

Thankfully, that doesn't become an issue. Liquid takes a fair amount of blood, enough to have Snake feeling a little unsteady in the aftermath, but it's nothing life-threatening.

That being said, he does have a wound in his arm now -- two, in fact, where Liquid's fangs had sunk in. Some pressure and a clean bandage should get him fixed up in no time, and then he could probably sleep for a good twelve hours if he wanted. Maybe that would be the best thing, since it means his current furry state will come to an end sooner.

"Doesn't matter." For as worked up as Snake had been before, he's calm now, more focused on his arm than on Liquid as he presses his opposite hand against the puncture points.

Eventually he levels his gaze on Liquid, expression controlled but firm. "So if I tell you to get your ass back to the ship now, are you gonna listen to me?"

Liquid was planning on heading back, but he pauses when Snake mentions telling him to. Well, that's one way to make him change his mind, isn't it? He sneers, bloody fangs quite visible. "What, is it past my bedtime? I'm nocturnal now." Well, probably.

He's absolutely willing to stay here and stand his ground about going out even if he doesn't need blood so much anymore, but a movement of his arm makes him wince slightly. He can't exactly go clubbing or whatever the hell nightlife they've got this late with the big wound in his shoulder, and he acquiesces with a theatrical sigh.

"Fine." He holds his hands up, one higher than the other. Better go get this patched up, even if it means listening to his brother.

He turns to head back, but stalls for a second. "Thanks," he grumbles, begrudgingly.
