The silence that falls between them can only be described as awkward. Despite having her voice back J is in everything but in a chatty mood and she's still not sure just what is the purpose of Shepard's visit if it's not about the bar or trying to find atonement for her mistakes. Surely she has better things to do than watch her in such grumpy and miserable state.
The question comes to her as surprise though.]
I like red flowers. Like roses and such. [pause.] Why?

Love. Or just beauty, if it's a rose. Sounds like a pretty "you" choice.
[There's a beat, and then a bemused look.]
A red clover means industry, though. Flowers. [Shepard shrugs, issuing J a half-smile.] Go figure.
But to answer your question, figured I'd try and pick up some kind of plant for--[She gestures her hand vaguely around the room.]--this. Hospital wards are pretty sparse — worst place to recover, in my opinion.

Or are you reading that shit from your computer? Anyway, too bad we just left a planet. Gotta deal with what you can find from the garden.
no subject
Guilty as charged. Anyway, the garden's not so bad. People have really been taking care of it. Fruit trees for days, too.
no subject
Yeah, but with our luck everything is rotten. Everyone was too busy partying for a year to look after the flowers. [Isn't she just the ray of sunshine??]
What for you're playing such a humanitarian?
no subject
[It's not so much that there's an edge to her voice, as a rock-solid cliff of belief. A humanitarian? As far as her own galaxy went, Shep might well be the humanitarian. Her aura is confident, but not aggressive.
Flipping the pad back around, she futzes with it for a minute, tapping a few things, then looks up.]
Looks like the gardens were on automated cycle for the year — plus the people who didn't go to the party were in and out of there. We're looking at more citrus simulacrums than we can carry.
Might make for some good cocktails.
no subject
There's only a hum from her as a reply to the garden and fruits. But once the cocktails are mentioned her expression grows more thoughtful. ]
I made a deal with head of the kitchen. [she says eventually] He provides us some fruits already.

Anything else you want me to check in on? I probably need to head out, in a bit.
no subject
Turning her head she watches as Shepard stands up. She takes a quick moment to think her last question, weighting the options in her mind before she speaks again almost hesitantly:]
Do you know where's Rinzler?
no subject
Need him for something?
no subject
No, it's nothing.
no subject
I'll keep an eye out for him.
