I'd be more than happy to assist, absolutely. Whenever my skills could be of use I'm always glad to offer them. I know it's difficult to sit still for so long, but you do need to focus on energy intake and activity in very short spurts with plenty of downtime for your body to recover.
I can at least get you started on a few simple exercises with a resistance band. Let me fashion one up for you, and I'll be right back, all right?
[ True to her word, she bustles right off and comes back still fixing some latex tubing together into two separate lengths, tying the ends so there's a loop at each of the two ends— one band was longer and one was shorter. ]
Here we go. You seem to have some decent strength still in your arms, no? So what I'll have you do is simple— for the short one here, you either hold the ends between both hands or hook them on your feet and try to pull. Slow movements, hold it stretched near as far as you can for a long count of five seconds, then relax. This will help get your muscles supple again. For the long one, one end on your foot and hold the other with your opposite hand, same idea. Only this time you alternate between keeping your arm taut and leg working, or your leg taut and pulling with your arm.

You can do this for about ten repetitions at a time, every other hour. Don't push too hard or your muscles will stiffen and seize. Does that sound all right?

[ She's more amused and rueful than anything, though. She already went through what happens when she pushes too hard. She's weak, but she's determined, and she knows that will carry her through more than anything. She reaches for the resistance band. ]

I know it's difficult advice, but do please try to take it with a spoonful of sugar. You'll recover much quicker if you can avoid pushing yourself and allowing enough rest.
[ It's largely teasing though, and she'll remain seated on the edge of her bed long enough to see her use one of them, already taking the longer one to hook over one foot and leave the other end in her lap where she can easily reach it. The loops were large enough that she'll be able to switch feet without needing to reach down and shift it over, which Angela isn't even sure she can do if she can scarcely get herself propped up in bed. ]
