( open ) let's dance
Who: the teen population of the Moira
When: at some point after arriving at the Luminous Sea, late afternoon/evening
Where: recreation area
What: a very 80's party thrown by Peter
takeitslow! Is your character currently a teenager? If yes, then assume they have somehow magically gotten an invitation and come party with us!
Warnings: none for the moment, will change if necessary

So maybe there's a lot of young people suddenly around the Moira. The best way to deal with it is obviously by throwing a party. Because adults are boring people who can't have fun and how can you not go wild at a party with a disco ball?
The rec area has been decorated just a bit for the occasion: there's a few tables with quick snacks, sweets and drinks, and 80's music playing from some strategically placed speakers. A good portion of the area is unimpeded so people can dance, and there are balloons of different colors a little bit all over.
The pool's decorated with tiny glitter confetti too, so it gives off a very glow-y vibe. Probably not a good idea to jump in but hey, you do you.
People are free to start up their own activities during the party, be it games like Spin the Bottle or Never Have I Ever, or something like attempting synchronized dancing. Seriously, go wild! (Not too wild, though. Just because there are no parents around doesn't mean you all should do whatever the hell you want.Yes it does.)
(Everyone feel free to put up specific starters for your characters, or for 'group' activities, go ahead and put up a top level so that everyone who wants to can jump in!)

Well, if you're comfortable, then that's what matters.

[ She points to the floor in front of the foot of the bed. ]
I know, grab a cushion and sit there. Then I can mess with your hair while I ask you embarrassing questions.
no subject
Hesitantly, he goes grab that cushion, placing it on the floor, then taking a seat by the foot of the bed as she told him too. So obedient. ]
I'll take that as you asking for permission?
no subject
The question mark was silent.
[ She does refrain from actually touching him until she's sure it's okay. ]
no subject
Sure, sure. Of course.
[ She can consider the lack of opposition an affirmative answer there. ]
no subject
[ Since he is so conveniently leaning back, she steals his glasses and puts them on herself. ]
no subject
[ Look he may or may not have realized that she's a little bit bossy by now. But evidently he doesn't mind.
He also doesn't mind it when she takes his glasses from him, even if he ends up seeing things with a little more blur. ]
Now you look like a proper nerd too.
no subject
Think it's a good look on me?
no subject
Works better for you than it does for me.
[ Yes, it's a very good look on her, but then again he thinks that's true no matter what she's wearing. (Save for creepy wigs.) ]
no subject
She takes the glasses off and puts them down on the bed, one hand returning to the task of propping her head up while the other gently pets his hair. ]
You don't have it easy back home, do you?
no subject
Doesn't matter.
[ Except that it does, obviously. Or it did, anyway. ]
I was just about to go to college anyway.
[ He'd been kind of hoping that things would get better there, even if he was also terrified about the change. ]
no subject
[ She keeps playing with his hair, both to comfort him but also just because it feels right. ]
no subject
[ It's also very relaxing, feeling her fingers sift through his curls, and Bruce closes his eyes for just a little while, enjoying that touch. ]
It's got nice programs, in... a bunch of scientific fields.
no subject
She can relate. ]
I hope things get better there.
no subject
Thanks. I hope so too.
[ He falls quiet, mouth opening as if he wants to say something else, closing, then opening again. ]
I kind of like it here too, though.
no subject
[ She considers making a joke about probes, but decides against it. ]
no subject
I'll just point out that technically we are the aliens out here.
no subject
Nerd.
no subject
You said 'incredibly smart' wrong.
no subject
[ She scoots closer so that she can sort of wrap her arms around him from behind. ]
Congratulations.
[ Yes, this is a bit of a come-on. ]
no subject
Thanks.
[ Yes, he sounds a bit nervous there. ]
I was just kidding, though.
no subject
[ Kind of obviously not when it comes to girls but that's okay. ]
If I were playing spin the bottle with you guys, would you have wanted to kiss me too?
no subject
Why are you asking?
no subject
Either way, she scoots back again, freeing him from her arms. ]
Because I wanted to know.
no subject
It only makes him more nervous to answer, his stomach knotting up in what he's pretty sure is some form of an anxiety attack. But he forces himself to let the answer out, even if it's a little shaky. ]
Yes.
