"I feel liberated when I'm doing it, and I want other people to feel liberated through it."
☄ ENJOY YOUR STAY ... IN PRISON Those who choose to go to Del Pascia will find themselves greeted by D-E-L. It has already agreed to terms with the Captains, allowing crew to strip nonessential supplies that aren’t needed since the station’s crew and prisoners were relocated due to funding cuts. The only condition placed upon this agreement is that any crew wishing to explore must undergo a mandatory decontamination before proceeding through the rest of Del Pascia. This process takes only minutes and is guaranteed to cause no physical side effects. Following this simple procedure, exploration is open with only warnings to be careful about damaging key systems. It is important to note that there are various security cameras located throughout the correctional facility, and it is not uncommon for D-E-L to comment or show concern for those exploring parts of Del Pascia. ☄ DEATH BECOMES YOU There is salvage to be found in all parts of the facility, including the cell blocks and infirmaries of the prison wings. However, there is something odd about these sectors, a strange charge in the air that follows you as you search for anything useful to bring back to the Moira. Perhaps it is the eyes of D-E-L watching? But then, after an indiscernible amount of time, it's like a switch is flipped. Suddenly, you are wearing your sins where anyone but you can see. For however much death you have wrought or committed, there will be blood on your hands—perhaps even further than that. This bizarre occurrence will appear as an almost digital skin and will not vanish until outside the cell blocks. If exploring the infirmaries for supplies, any and all health stats throughout your life will be visible and easy to read by anyone who happens to take an interest. ☄ WHAT WAS THAT SOUND? Del Pascia is a very large station and has been abandoned for quite some time. D-E-L will regretfully inform anyone who asks that some nonessential areas have fallen into disrepair. It will warn that exploring these areas can be risky as it has no knowledge of what damage these sections have taken. Regardless of that, if you venture in, you’ll find that these sections are in rather bad shape. Exposed wiring sparks in the walls, a great variety of broken tools are thrown about, and it seems that every camera has been purposely broken. Venturing in further will yield valuable components for salvage, and yet... as before, you suspect you aren’t alone. It isn’t often, but sometimes, you might hear a step falling moments after yours or a rattle coming from the vents. Every time you go to investigate... whatever made the noise is gone. |
Venom Snake II MGSV II
[Snake was curious about the newcomers. This time last month it was him being transported through the Ingress to reside aboard the Moira. Now, it was other people's turns. He watched the bright light with fascination, as he lit up his e-cigar and inhaled slowly.
Would there be more aliens this time? Humans? Dogs? Cats? Who knew. All he did know what that perhaps he could be on hand to help out the strangers who arrived by the portal.]
The Moira everywhere:
[Venom patted DD on the head as they walked along the empty corridor. It was DD's walk for the day and Snake had praised DD for not running towards the canteen desperate for food. He often used his nose to wander off seeking food or company. Usually, both. This time he was beside his master just sniffing the ground and occasionally glancing up at Snake seeking a rub.]
You like your walks, huh? Maybe we should go play some ball in the rec room. Would you like that?
[He bent low to give his dog some scritches under his chin. He always enjoyed that. DD barked playfully and licked Snake's hand. Good dog.]
Ocelot trained you up well. An Ocelot training hounds. Whatever next.
[Venom smiled to himself, as he passed through into another section of the ship, DD walking in front wanting to explore even more.]
The Med Bay:
[If anyone will be frequenting the med bay aboard the ship they will notice this soldier testing out his arm. It had been damaged by the hoards of Scraplets just a few days back. But now his arm was healed up and he was ready to go. Yet, he wondered if he could possibly ask for more supplies somehow. Why not? The ship must be loaded with bandages, meds and all sorts of stuff. He wouldn't steal no. Just look.]
Pretty decent for a ship's med bay.
Del Pascia Prison Block:
[Venom sighed and placed his head against the cold stone wall of the prison cell. His first planet side visit off the Moira and he was in prison. Great. Talk about first impressions. Decontamination? That's what they called it anyway. Snake wondered if any of the locks could be picked because why not? He was used to breaking in and out of places that were locked up for a reason.]
Talk about a welcome, huh?
[He spoke out aloud wondering if anyone else was sharing the cells next to him or anywhere else around the block.]
Del Pascia Death Becomes you:
[Snake was actually pleased when he found a pile of scrap that no one else had touched yet. A lot of good metal. The captains should be pleased, surely? He bent down to scavange the metal when he felt a strange feeling wash over him. It felt like dread. He got up and spun around expecting to see someone standing behind him. There was nothing there. He swallowed and frowned.]
What the hell?-
[Venom nearly cried out when he saw the blood. It was all over his hands, his arms, his chest.]
Jesus!
[He cursed and desperately tried to wipe it off. Where had it come from? How was he injured? He felt light-headed and could hear screams coming from somewhere. Men's screams of pain. Men dying. Soldiers. All those men that died in the name of Big Boss. Was he having some sort of fit? Was he ill? Snake felt himself slam against the wall and gasp.
More images of all the men that had died whilst fighting against him. All men that were the enemy. All the men that he had raised a gun to and fired the bullet into their heads. The blood. All the blood dripping down their screaming faces.]
No!
[Snake could feel their anger, their pain, their fear. So much death.]
death n stuff
[Liquid couldn't see his own bloody body, just Venom's. At this point, though, he knew that it was there. Still, he didn't know that Venom actually noticed his own. It was all the shouting that brought him over, head tilted and a confused expression on his face.
Personally, he'd accepted the things he'd done in life, and unlike some people he made no excuses for the fact that he'd been essentially created to enjoy what he did. Being a Snake was just the way it was.]
Thought someone was eating you or something and we'd have to deal with a prison full of cannibals. Or those little robot things again. You see something?
no subject
Blood. Can't you see it? I'm covered in blood....
[He went to wipe it off his arms but it just smeared. What the hell was going on? Was it the place making him see things? An alien presence invading his mind? They were on a strange planet after all. Who knows what could be happening right now.]
I can hear screams of all the men I've killed. In my head. It's like this place is punishing me for all the killing I've done.
no subject
[He couldn't feel it, and it didn't seem to be making a mess of anything. Didn't have that dried blood hardness, either. Just a vision, an illusion, a hologram, anything like that. One that was keeping itself from him.]
Really? Bloody hell. I didn't even know anything about it at first.
[Maybe it was the lack of remorse. Or maybe Venom was just hallucinating or something.]
no subject
I don't know. Maybe I'm having a hallucination. It's not the first time this has happened to me. It's because of this the doc said. [He pointed to the shrapnel horn sticking out of his head.]
Why are we covered in blood? What the hell is going on? [Snake touched the other man's arm and it felt like there was nothing there. Was this just a trick?]
I think the planet is playing a trick on us or someone is. Maybe it's just me.
no subject
[Liquid nodded. He actually wasn't a stranger to Venom's hallucinations; there was that time on that island where he'd shot him, after all.]
I have no idea. I suppose, maybe, it's something to do with the whole prison thing. Perhaps they decide which cells you get by how much blood you've got on your hands. Or whether you've even got room on your hands for all the blood. Or it's to warn inmates against each other.
[Liquid held his blood-covered hand up to look at it. To him, he saw nothing unusual, not even a glimpse.]
Or, it could just be decorative. Does it make me look dangerous?
no subject
He liked those days.]
It all seems a little creepy to me. Someone's idea of a joke. A sick joke. [What sort of people lived on this planet?]
How bad do I look?
no subject
[He remembers a lot of killing people in his life. His first kill, especially, way back when he was just a child. Escaping his handlers, fighting in Angola, brainwashed in the Middle East, FOXHOUND... it's nothing new.]
I'm sure whoever's designed it thinks it's very clever.
Pretty damn bad. Like you took a bath in the stuff. A little worse than I'd seen you running round Mother Base with. I'm guessing it's taking everything into account.
no subject
[Venom could only imagine what he looked like. Like a demon covered in blood. Pretty horrific to most. Even those who knew him might find the image to be grotesque and disgusting. He just found it rather annoying and sick.]
All the men I've killed. It's like this place knows about us. [That was the bit he didn't like; the spying.] It's like someone or something is staring into our souls.

medbay
He crosses across the room to do just that when he sees the older man fiddling with his arm, one brow raising slightly at the observation. ]
's all right. [ He shrugs, looking around the scraplet-torn medbay with a critical eye. ] It's seen better days.
[ His attention drifts down to the appendage again. ] There somethin' I can help you with?
no subject
My arm's been damaged by those metal creatures. Just trying to make sure it still works.
[Snake moved his fingers then rotating the arm to see how the movement worked. The skin around the wound had been healed up by Doc Yewll but the prosthetic still needed work on.]
You a doctor?
no subject
He wasn't trying to think about that too much, though. Luckily, the question from Snake drew his attention back, causing him to answer with a gruff, ]
Yeah. I'm one of the new guys.
[ After a couple moments of frowning, he shifted his feet and stuck his hand out. ] Dr. McCoy. 'Fraid I don't have much experience in tinkerin' with prosthetics.
no subject
Good to have another doctor aboard the ship. You should meet doc Yewll. She's the one who fixed up my infection in my arm. Used some sort of flower medicine. [Hell if he knew what she used.]
It still stings now and again though. [Venom showed McCoy his arm and where Yewll had placed her flower medicine. The wound was healing up nicely it was the metal arm that needed work.]
no subject
I'll probably run into her eventually. [ It's like this ship's that big. Or this medbay that chaotic. He was still trying to get know people here, now that his temper was a little more subdued. The man stepped forward a little and studied the prosthetic. ]
This didn't happen here, did it? [ He asked, jabbing a finger down at the arm. ]
no subject
The wound? Yeah. The ship got taken over by these metal creatures the size of a small dog. Nasty sharp teeth that could tear through any metal. Including my arm. [He showed McCoy the silver bite marks along the red metal.]
no subject
Yeah, I heard that's why the ship's in such a godawful state, too. [ He can't say he was disappointed for missing out on that fiasco. ]
What about your arm, though, did lose it before you came to this place?
no subject
[It needed it badly. Broken doors, malfunctioning equipment.....the place was wrecked.]
Yeah. I lost it during a helicopter crash. Nine years ago. [It seemed such a long time ago now.]

Boss....
[Kaz heard him yell first while in the middle of gathering supplies, that's why he'd hurried over. He left them in a messy heap. Good thing about getting his left fixed- he didn't have to lean all over the crutch to do it.]
Come on, Boss. [He didn't know what he was seeing, what he was hearing. Something? The problem is, there are deaths on Kaz's head. All those contracts, all that wetwork. That means the man that reaches out to put his hand on Ahab's shoulder is just as bloody in appearance. That he's entirely streaked with it, even if he's already figured out what's happening.]
Boss, it's just this place. It's messing with your head.
no subject
The blood. Kaz.....it's everywhere. [Even his close friend was streaked with it. Shit. What the hell was happening? Venom closed his eyes and hoped that if he opened them again the blood would be gone.
Nope. Still there.]
Yeah. It's messing with our heads alright. You're not hurt? [He had to check Kaz over to make sure he was ok.]
no subject
I'm fine, Boss. I'm fine.
And I see. It wants us to wear our sins. But we already know we're devils. And I've promised you, when we leave here, I'm going to pull us out of hell.
no subject
Out of hell. Right. This place is not right. We need to get out of here. [Because he felt the longer they were here the quicker it would drive them mad, right?]
Some sort of illusion?
no subject
It is. It's a prison. It's making us wear our guilt for all to see.
Come on. It'll go away once we're out of the wing.
[He lets go of his wrists.]
no subject
Yeah, I hope so.
[He wrapped an arm around Kaz's shoulder and nodded firmly.] Question is how the hell do we get out?
no subject
[But he's chosen it, at least for now.]
[There's something a little gratifying that he gets to be the support for once. That his stubbornness has given him some sort of strength here, and that he's not having to hobble along and be helped for the slightest thing. He lets Ahab hold onto him.]
They have transports coming to and from the station. You should stay on the ship. Especially since Sn- B-
[Then he realizes he's never been comfortable even calling him "John". Big Boss never gave him that name (Even if he knows it). Kaz has only ever been allowed "Snake".] Since Ishmael is here.
no subject
Transports, right. [At least that was something comforting. The blood would surely fade then, right? Snake didn't want an image of himself covered in blood for people to see forever. They'd truly believe he was some kind of demon then. At Kaz's last words Ahab smiled a little. He knew it must be hard for the man to speak about the two versions of him all the time.]
It's alright, Kaz. [As if sensing his friend's slight discomfort Ahab patted the blond on the shoulder.]
