What: Catch-all log for May!! Some post-void shenanigans, some general around the ship shenanigans, fun for everybody!
Warnings: Will add if any come up! Probably some talk of mass murder, though.

[stompadour]

"Obviously," she says, scowling a little. She gestures to the shiny rock in the middle of her face. "I'm a gem. We don't need sleep."

[skelepun]

A gem. He's noticed the gemstone cemented in the middle of her face, of course, but...

Sans blinks. Then grins.

"A gem, huh? Isn't that a little on the nose?"

[stompadour]

Jasper stares at him, unamused. "I guess you could say that," she says flatly.

[skelepun]

"Or is it referring to your shining personality and zest for life?"

He's here all week. Tip your waitresses.

[stompadour]

"That's not funny either." She folds her arms. "What are you doing in here, anyway – practicing with your weapons? You need a hand?"

[skelepun]

"Heh, got two already, but thanks." He holds up both hands with a quick waggle before pointing to his radius. "And unless you count magic, I don't have much weapon proficiency. Why, are you a trainer or something?"

He knows she is of course, it's practically ship common knowledge, but sharing what you know is the fastest way to not learning anything new.

[stompadour]

She snorts. "I'm supposed to teach self-defense here, yeah. And magic is exactly what I meant. You're summoning weapons, aren't you?"

[skelepun]

"Eh, I guess. That's one thing to do with 'em." If he had control of his magic, he might try spelling something out, but it was probably for the better that he didn't. Papyrus was always better with his control, able to spell full sentences. Sans didn't have the focus for it.

"Why, whaddya you summon?"

[stompadour]

"A helmet," says Jasper, casually summoning it to demonstrate; it glitters into existence on her head, looking kind of preposterous. She tilts her head, which kind of only serves to accentuate how ridiculous the pompadour column of her helmet is. "What do you use those things for if it's not combat?"

[skelepun]

"How do you use that for combat?" Sans asks, sounding a fair bit more skeptical than he actually is, if only to match Jasper's tone. "'Cuz it looks like a very fashionable door knocker."

[stompadour]

Jasper raises an eyebrow.

"I can show you if you want."

This is pretty clearly a threat.

[skelepun]

It certainly is.

Sans beams up at the much, much, much taller crew member.

"That'd be awesome, yeah."

[stompadour]

Her lip curls in irritation.

Then she rolls her eyes and draws back to slam the diamond-shaped column of her helmet down towards him.

She stops short of actually hitting him even if he doesn't dodge, but honestly she thinks that it would serve him right if she'd crushed him.

[skelepun]

You don't survive very long being as fragile as him by leaving things to chance.

So, sure enough, by the time she gets within striking distance Sans is already behind her. His smile as fixed and frustrating as ever.

The rattle of his bones while he gives a short, slow round of applause is all the louder for the quiet of the room.

"Wow. Nifty trick."

[stompadour]

She straightens up and turns immediately, fixing him with a flat look that doesn't go all the way to disguising how surprised she was by that move.

"Not bad."

[skelepun]

"I'm a man of no talent." He primps, dusting imaginary dirt off his jacket. "But I'm pretty good at faking."
