Kurt. He's blue. I'm still trying to understand... [ Stan admits with a shrug because there's so much of it that just doesn't make sense to him yet and at the time he'd been a little too overwhelmed by the blue and the tail and the disappearing and reappearing to figure it out. Eventually he'd talk to him again.

He knew he was nice, though, and not trying to scare him. ]

Oh. I see. [ His brow furrows because well he thinks that could be scary to worry about and lonely too. He doesn't say as much and he doesn't really find himself afraid so much as unsettled by knowledge that doesn't come with any real understanding. ]

Yeah- Kurt and I both have a genetic mutation. The X-Gene they call it. Some people wind up with physical mutations, like Kurt. Or like me, where they're a bit more easily hidden. [She speaks plainly. He should know, if he's going to interact with the mutants here.]

He's a really great guy, he just lost the genetic lottery. Or won, I guess you could say if that's how you see it. [She shrugs softly. She saw it as losing, with regards to his physical mutations. Totally a win when it came to his powers, though.]

[ It almost makes sense. Maybe he'll for books about genetics. It's certainly something he hasn't learned very much about. And maybe he wouldn't find anything about the 'X-Gene' but understanding more would mean he could understand how there's a mutation as she calls it. Maybe.

But there's the human side of it, that he can understand from her explanation that he doesn't need the science to comprehend. ]

Of course. [She likes talking about this, she decides. Being open about her powers. Trying to help educate kids, people who don't know better. If she can make a difference... Well, it's nice. It's really nice.] Charles can probably explain it a whole lot better than I can.
