but at least his book of the crew's reactions to certain situations is growing. who will be his publisher is anyones guess to be honest. poor 76 is about to be the next victim or something because badou saddles right up to him.]
Think they're legit?
no subject
Might be.
[But his tone of voice suggests otherwise. He can't give anyone the benefit of the doubt nowadays.]
We'll know if they get it up and running and send one of their own in first.
no subject
Or if they come back with parts missing. These guys might still be expendable to their own people.

Looting corpses
Have you no dignity at all? Leave them be!
no subject
They're dead.
[And there's stuff he can make use of here, so he's not about to leave it to collect dust.]
They're not gonna miss it.

[She doesn't grab for him again, but her hands curl into fists and her voice relays the passion she has about this subject.] Anyone can see they suffered at their end of life, do we really have to add to that?

Comparing Loot
Kerrigan brushes all the papers and other debris off all the tables and surfaces with a wave of telekinesis, leaving everything in a pile off to the side. The far wall of the long room is an external one with rock behind it. There's a door embedded in the wall from her earlier practice with her telekinesis. She also clears a couple rows of desks and tables, re-positioning them in a large group, making long clear surfaces to lay everything out on and take inventory.]
no subject
What he takes note of is the apparent telekinesis--it's not that he isn't used to seeing strange abilities, but it is something to keep in mind.]

floor 2 corpse party
[He's not exactly going pale at the sight of bodies, but his face is grim. And when he sees someone looting the corpses, he can't help but speak with a snap in his voice.]
I get that they really have no use for it, but come on...you really think these guys have anything useful?
no subject
Then he doesn't deign to say anything at all, instead pulling an alien-looking pistol from the holster of a very dead person.]

Reading notes like this is RE...
[Prometheus doesn't bother to sneak around, content in his scans and actual vision pointing to the fact that almost all threats were dead. And if they weren't? Well, it's not as if living or dying made much of a difference to him. So of course he's not going to go out of his way to not sneak up on some battle hardened veteran that appears to be totally engrossed in whatever audio file he was listening to]
Find anything interesting, captain?
[and blatantly disregards what was said in their last meeting apparently? Hey, if he was going to flirt with death he might as well go the whole nine yards. It's more interesting that way]
no subject
[Guess who still doesn't want to be addressed by any kind of formal title? This guy. 76 seems a bit too exasperated to bother with telling Prometheus to beat it, and appears he is capable of recognizing when the buddy system is prudent, loath as he is to indulge this.
It helps that he's still trying to make sense of all this himself. Voicing it might help.]

Have you found anything, my friend?
no subject
[76 is too preoccupied in the current find to object to being called friend--or maybe it's just because he knows that's how Reinhardt addresses everyone. Maybe he's just a little tired of resisting it. Besides, there's something much more interesting to talk about.]
Come over here and listen to these.

FLOOR 2!!!!!
She is careful where her meka steps, as she doesn't want to destroy the corpse under her metal feet. It's odd when it's real life and not in video games. She isn't use to seeing the dead bodies, not yet at least. Her fights were always close to the shore, in the water or on the beaches and boardwalks of Busan. She ended her fights quickly, and never really saw the damage the omnis did besides the buildings they toppled. It's different now that she can smell the blood and see the glassy looks of the dead. She wants to leave her meka and walk, but her instruments notify her of something not so pleasant in the air around her. She keeps to her meka and loots the lockers and bunk chests carefully.
She moves from room to room, dragging the bodies out of the way so they aren't stepped on. She places them on the empty beds, or lying straight next to them before she shuts her eyes in prayer for dead. She didn't know them, but she hopes they find peace somehow. It's after this, that she goes back into the hallway and watches as a man loots the corpses. She's done this before in games, she knows the best loot is always carried on NPCS, but this is different, right?]
Should we be doing that?
no subject
His second thought mostly boils down to is that a MEKA?
It is a MEKA--a bright pink one, which makes him feel like he knows of the person inside it, but he decides not to jump to conclusions when anything and everything could be a threat. Still, it's clear what he's been doing, and the occupant of the giant pink robot is quick to voice that.
76 lets out something of an exasperated sigh, like this is not the first time he's been vaguely chastised for looting corpses.]
There's a lot of equipment that shouldn't go to waste.
[And he is, among other things, extremely practical.]

Although 76 is apparently still prone to nesting. ]
You're lookin' mighty cozy.
[ He flops down, ungainly and casual as always, grinning at 76 from beneath the shadowy brim of his hat. He jerks a thumb at the pieces of the pulse rifle. ]
Looks like exciting work. You want a smoke, old man?
no subject
All the while, his hands work. He doesn't even have to look at the rifle to put it back together, and he keeps his visor trained on McCree.]
It's bad for you.
[Really, he'd love a smoke, but it won't do anything for him, and he'd have to take his mask off to boot, so it comes off as more of a joke on McCree's part than anything else.]

[Ana has a pile in arms already, even ones she doubts she could understand. And yes, she's probably been here all along. Leaving her partner behind wasn't something she do without consent, especially at some new discovery.]
Doing these one at a time is a recipe for having a one sided picture of things.

Someone wanted all this destroyed.

cruisin through a couple of these
It's the second floor that strikes them all with the reality of the situation, and even here, his pragmatism doesn't fail as he begins moving around checking for weaponry. So Angela stays close by, produces a face mask and some peppermint oil to dab inside, and dons it to begin checking the bodies for much of what she already suspected.
It's no formal autopsy by any means, but their cause of death is all quite obvious. What she does from there is close eyes, rearrange limbs, and produce some of the bedding from her pacdisc to wrap the bodies with the surplus of sheets she'd brought with her. It would spare some of the weaker-minded or the children present from the sight awaiting them, and she moves steadily along the bodies already checked by others to restore some dignity to them.
Likewise, she doesn't miss when 76 is chastised time and again for the dose of reality he presents in his actions, and eventually she's caught up to him once more. She isn't here to scold him; quite the opposite. ]
What have you found?
no subject
He’d be prouder if it wasn’t bad news for him.
Luckily, there’s a concrete task at hand, and 76 is busying himself with assembling and disassembling the weapons he finds, checking them for functionality and sorting supplies that can be packed away just in case. Angela takes something of a more compassionate approach to the task, but she doesn’t chastise him the way others have. He’s a little more relieved about that then he’ll ever let on, enough that he doesn’t quite mind when she asks him a question.]

looting corpses
Any of this familiar to you?

The weapon tech, or the situation?
[Because it would probably be no to the first, yes to the second.]
