Funny you should mention it - I am making arrangements for weapons that will suit just fine without sullying the dead.

Yeah, well, not all of us have private security firm-issue rocket suits.
[Some of us have to steal our equipment, geez!]
You’re young. You fight long enough, you might end up changing your mind.

First, they aren't here to restock my ammunition or repair my jets when they get damaged. I've relied on the kindness and generosity of this crew, and the only reason you're resorting to grave-robbing is because you're too damned - I don't know, proud or grumpy to ask anyone for help.
So instead you help yourself from the ones who can't say no.

There's something to be said here about how he mostly functions on an if you want something done right, do it yourself philosophy, and how he's not exactly interested in owing things to the people on this crew, but he thinks he can sum it up in a better, more concise way.]
I ain't looking for your approval.

[There's a real pain and fervor to her voice; perhaps some of it is projection, for all the years she'd spent thinking something like this had been her mother's fate; dead, lost, alone.]
no subject
[Said sarcastically of course, not that he really blames her. 76 doesn't even care enough to be offended, but that doesn't mean he won't stand his ground.]
Survival, Amari. I'm interested in staying alive and getting home. Only person you can trust is yourself.

And then I joined Helix. And I discovered one very, very crucial fact about my life. The question I'd always struggled with - what is more important, the man or the mission? I had a chance to answer it; they're the same thing. Your men are your mission. You succeed as a whole when you've got each others backs.
Here, this crew that we're thrown with; no, there are a lot of people who are the least bit trustworthy. But to dismiss the entirety of it? No. I can't do that - I won't. They are my mission, here. My men. And I will give them the deference that will see us all through.
The people slaughtered here - [She motions to the near body,] - could have been any one of the crew, any one of us. You're not going to convince me to ignore that realization.
[She pulls in a breath and lets it out in a controlled sigh; that's a lot of vulnerability she didn't know she'd be dropping just now. She finds herself a little bitter that he's dragged her into this by degrading corpses, by doing something so unwholesome she couldn't in good conscious ignore it. It would have kept her up at night - no, it still would, but there's at least some small peace to know that she's stood her ground at it.]
But you -- if you believed your own words wholeheartedly, you would have no need to help me out when you have. I think you already know this lesson, and I don't think you can let it go; not completely.

This is not, however, that other life. 76 is short on patience, and he’s not about to be lectured, especially not by someone who hasn’t lived through what he did. In fact, he’s still piecing together a weapon even as she talks.]
You’re not gonna win this one.
[He’s far too stubborn for that. If this is about her getting him to stop looting bodies, she’s already lost. The rest of her speech is meaningless—it’s hard to guilt someone who has no reason to believe in the things that he used to.]
You’ll be better off if you mind your own business and stay out of mine.
