A million names but only one truth to face [ OPEN ]
Who: Adrien and OPEN
When: Month of October
Where: MedBay (of course) | Training room | Mini Colony
What: Various prompts and OPEN to setting up different scenarios
Warnings: Cranky doctor scaring med techs? idk nothing for now, will warn in comments in necessary.
A - Medbay
[ Though Adrien spent time down on the Mini-Colony, he devoted equal time to his duties aboard the Moira; specifically in MedBay.
It could be argued that some of the MedBay techs might wish he spent more time down on the Mini-Colony.
Because, though Adrien had settled a little bit in the wake of the year long, party planet reveal, his temper was still dodgy and the smallest things could seem major when they rubbed on raw nerves. Such as a bit of a kerfluffle around inventory counts.
Though the doctor didn't yell. He had a way of staring down med techs that left them scurrying off to quickly re-verify their counts or otherwise correct their mistakes. It was possible that any arriving patients or other co-workers would catch him in the midst of such a stare down.
Another option was to catch him elbows deep in the Medbay equipment. While repairs to the ship had seen to much of the major equipment in MedBay, there were still very delicate medical devices that required some fine tuning. He usually waited until the late shift hours, when MedBay was mostly quiet to go scooting under or diving into various bits of technology.
But, of course, MedBay never closed it's doors so it was always possible that someone would catch him, stuck under a diagnostic machine or two. ]
B - Training Room
[ A year.
A fucking year.
Though it was hard to exactly measure how time had passed and while Adrien realized his fitness levels were still where he expected them to be, there was a psychological component to the idea that sent a chill down his spine. It drove him into the training room with dual purposes; fitness and sparring.
For fitness the doctor drove himself through a brutal regime of cardio, muscle endurance and swimming. From classic calisthenics (push-ups, sit-ups, planks, etc), to bag work, to swimming and obstacle courses run in full kit, the workout was not for the faint of heart. In fact there were more than a few times, when at the end of it, Adrien ended up prone on the ground cursing himself.
Sparring was another matter all together. The doctor had built himself a program that utilized the training simulation room's highest functionality. He had a wide variety of settings but kept to one primary opponent. Androgynous humanoid figure, capable of flight and wickedly resistant to damage. They attacked in groups and it was impossible to get them down and keep them down with anything less than decapitation.
Anyone who walked in on these training sessions would find the doctor and his bahari companion, usually in desperate matches against multiple figures, never less than two at a time and sometimes as many as four or six. Though he had the handgun on him, Adrien did not use live fire in these bouts. Instead the gun was used more in resourceful measures, often in conjunction with the large knife the doctor had brought with him and Courser's wicked claws and teeth.
Usually, Adrien and Courser fought these simulations until they were overwhelmed by the numbers. If, on the off chance, he actually won? The doctor looked perturbed and sharply reset the program, upping the difficulty.
This program was designed to leverage hand to hand combat at it's highest level. The challenge not just physical but also mental as survival against these opponents was not just about who could hit hardest, but strategy to utilize all available terrain and resources to prevail. As a result it was not uncommon to find Adrien sporting more than a few lacerations and contusions as a result of these sessions. ]
C - MiniColony!
[ When the doctor was not terrorizing med techs, treating patients or trying to become one himself, he made it down to the Mini-Colony.
There were quite a few areas of interest, including but not limited too, a building where he made an introduction and earned himself a favor as well as the A.S.I. (Aeronautical Study Institute) and local hospital. The shop, with the puzzles was also a draw and the doctor could be found in there, waffling over which puzzle he wanted to purchase.
At least once, he might be found, literally sitting on the floor of the store surrounded by puzzles. Most of them were of the solitary variety, meant to test logic and reasoning skills though a couple also held creative and artistic components. For a man courting his forties, he looked like an over grown child trying to pick just one when he obviously wanted to take them all. ]
D - Wildcard!
[ I am open to any and all ideas and scenarios, just throw them at me! ]

[ His response to the latter question was swift and direct. Not really one for bedside manner. ]
Your physiology is reading ... [ he drifted off for a moment, focusing on the diagnostic tool for a long, awkward pause before he seemed to remember that he had a patient. ] uh, that is your body is reflecting an increased need for fluid.
More so than even the human body usually requires.
[ Setting down the scanner, Adrien reached towards Venom. His touch was clinical and thorough, but despite his crappy way of delivering news, his exam wasn't harsh. ]
You're having trouble breathing?
no subject
[But what did he mean by requiring more fluid than usual? Venom drank water and tea when he's thirsty like everyone else. His gasps get a bit hoarse, and he definitely sounds like he's not getting enough air.
He isn't bothered by the physical, though those hands are unusually warm. He didn't realize how cold he was.]
Do I need to increase my fluid intake?
[Still calm despite wanting to panic.]
no subject
At the moment, his mind was still working from the perspective of getting fluid into Venom's body. As he worked, to prepare a location for the IV, the doctor would do something that might have an interesting result.
Reaching for a cloth, he soaked it in warm water to use as a prep for where he was going to try to set up the IV line. What might be the result of warm water, directly to Venom's flesh? ]
no subject
When the warm, wet cloth is applied to his bare skin, it brings a bizarre sense of relief? It's not much, but it does seem to inexplicably calm Venom a little. He starts to imagine being surrounded by that water, swimming and breathing a lot easier.]
no subject
Is that giving you some measure of relief?
no subject
Yes.
[He's never really gone near water, but now most of his thoughts are on being fully immersed.]
Yes, definitely.
no subject
Come on. Let's try something ... ridiculous.
[ He reached a hand towards Venom's arm, seeking to offer support as he would be asking the man to transfer from the bed to his feet. It was a short trip to the quarantine showers (promise no weird bugs in there just now) where Adrien would seek to deposit Venom onto a stool.
Unmindful of his own dry state, the doctor reached for the access valves, turning on the water, seeking to strike a luke warm balance. Err ... hope nothing Venom wore was 'dry clean only'. ]

The former assassin sat upon it and waited as Adrien turned on the water.
At first, the cold shocked him, but as it gradually warmed, Venom started to feel relieved. He basked in the warmth, feeling almost at home under the torrent of water.]
