Who: Nathan Drake (
sketchycharacter) and Elena Fisher (
tearsinajar)
When: October sometime
Where: The Moira, Nomo Deck
What: The marrieds finally get permanent privacy
Warnings: Stupid fluff, maybe sexy talk
[Nate feels like he's been waiting for the news forever, but when he finally receives word that he's approved for private quarters, he doesn't waste any time heading to his wife's room to let her know. Yeah, he's had roommates come and go, so they haven't always had to do the sock on the door thing, but with the Ingress always ready to potentially add new ones, there was no point in relaxing or officially making their own space. Nate likes people, but it kinda sucks.
Finally, finally it'll just be them. He knocks on her door and practically bounces on the balls of his feet as he waits.]

[He leans into her mouth, smiling, before reluctantly pulling just far enough away that he can fish a folded paper out of his back pocket. The creases are slightly soft; he's had it for a while.]
So, this is for you.
no subject
[ She's unsure at first what he's handing to her because it looks old, months old. Why would he be giving her something like this? It looks like a note at first— and then she sees the smileys and the rainbows. The cloud puffs. ]
Is this...what I think it is...?
[ Is this an invite to his crib? Let this sink in, as she laughs again, fondly, tracing the drawing with the nail of a finger. ]
You remembered...
no subject
You were very specific about what you wanted. It was in my best interest to give it to you.
[He laughs then, and slips his arm around her waist, pulling her closer.]
Move in with me.
no subject
[ Still, Elena doesn't pull away when she's drawn in, leaning in against his side, head to his shoulder. She's still looking at the invitation and smiling. ]
Like, we're talking huge— ginormous.
no subject
[She doesn't have to be looking at him when he waggles his eyebrows. He trusts that she'll sense it.]
I want to live with you again. In our place, where we don't have to work around other people's schedules and do the sock on the door thing.
no subject
[ Her head rests back against his shoulder as she tips her face up, smile soft. ]
Move in with you and what, have to share the blankets again? [ After the year of sleeping by herself and not having to share the bed or blankets with anyone? To strip away such a luxury... ] Good Lord, who would do such a thing.
no subject
True, it would be a trade-off.
[As if they haven't been sharing blankets already during the times they've shared his or her bed on the Moira. Then again, sleeping hadn't been the primary purpose of being in those beds.]
But you'd also be getting your own personal heater back, and he never needs batteries. That's a good deal.
no subject
[ That smile slips into a grin. A shit eating grin. ]
You asking me to move in with you, it's like you're asking me to marry you. Again. You already did that twice.
[ Elena gives him a poke in the ribs. ]
no subject
[He would never be so rude! Of course, it's not like he knows for sure, being asleep and all. But he feels confident anyway.]
At least when I asked you to marry me, you gave me an answer. Both times. Come on.
[He gives her a nudge.]
no subject
[ Another nudge. But then she tucks in close, as close as she can, head to his shoulder and tucking under his jaw. ]
Mmm, I might have to think about it.
[ Her hand pats over his belly. ]
no subject
[He edges over, as if he can get rid of a few millimeters of space so there's absolutely nothing between them.]
Anything I can do to help you make up your mind?
[He can get her pants off and go down on her so hard if that's what it takes. He can do it right now.]
no subject
[ The paper with the drawings gets her attention again, eyes lowering to it. Of course she'll move in with him, some place to have that's theirs where they aren't going to be bothered. It'll be wonderful. ]
Oh... [ A brow raises. Elena gives him a look. ] That sounds dangerous...
no subject
[Is it ever. And she'll have to spend the night with him to meet it, which just ties into his whole proposal. Win-win.]
Dangerous? Naaaah. I've got the stamina for it.
no subject
[ Bam. It's set. ]
You might be able to even put that stamina to the test.
[ An extra test. ]
no subject
[He kisses her again, then, but it's not an especially passionate kiss. Just a happy one, a joyful one.]
God, I wanted to do this months ago. But after we had that fight...I thought it would be better for you to move in with just me, instead of me and whoever else was there.
[Sharing a bed and continuing to mend their marriage wouldn't go so well with an audience.]
no subject
Her hand follows his jaw line, another kiss pressed to his lips, and then another. Chaste, slow pecks. ]
We just needed the space. Extra space in...space.
no subject
So, space space.
[Ha ha, very funny.]
Is it silly if I feel like this is the last piece of really getting back on track?
no subject
[ A small eyeroll, but then she leans back to look at him. ]
I don't think it's silly. We should be together. I'd say we've worked through most of the hard stuff.
no subject
[They've worked through things, but more than that, they've gotten to a point that he feels like they can really talk about any problems they have or might face in the future. And that's going to make all the difference.]
I missed sleeping beside you every night.
no subject
[ His nose gets a tender little tweak. ]
It'll be nice to sleep beside a warm body again. Though you don't seem to be in that much of a hurry if we're still sitting here.
no subject
[Without warning, he scoops her up and literally sweeps her off his feet as he stands, laughing like an idiot before setting her down.]
Let's get moving.
no subject
Do we want to leave the packing for later? You can show me your sweet new crib.
no subject
I'd rather get it out of the way. When you come to our room, I don't plan to let you leave for hours.
[The look he gives her is, in a word, smoldering.]
no subject
[ Giving his upper arms a squeeze she steps back, turning. Over her shoulder she points out, ]
You realise I don't have any boxes. You caught me unprepared.
no subject
[Strong arms—the better with which to lift her up and pin her against the wall.]
