You decide every moment of every day... (CLOSED)
Who: Charles (Daisy, Jean, Tex, Peter)
When: The day Charles wakes up from Cryo
Where: Medical, Moro deck, kipos garden, bow observation deck
What: Charles has been in cryo for a few months and he's waking up to a few changes. And people.
Warnings: Nooooone?
[A]
He was just... sleeping. Charles could remember sleeping a lot back in New York. Usually he slept off his hangovers, that wasn't what this was. For one, he hadn't been drinking prior to this that he could remember. Second, he didn't sleep completely naked. Or in medical in a cryo unit. After taking a moment to gather his thoughts, he pulled himself out of the unit, looking around for something to cover himself. And then hopefully his uniform. He wasn't going to wander around in nothing but a towel, after all.
His clothes had to be stored nearby right? Whoever had put him here wouldn't have carried him naked from... where ever he'd been. He had to have been stripped down here, it only made sense. Once found, he wasted no time changing. Better to wear the ships uniform than nothing at all.

He made his way to his room when he could, sure (hoping) his things hadn't been tampered with by his roommates. The first thing he really wanted to do was grab a glass and some of the whiskey he'd bought on the planet they'd visited when the Ingress had first brought him here. And then he'd think of what else he should do, where else he should go.
The rooms were still strange looking in his opinion (what was wrong with regular beds, why did these have to hang from the ceiling?) but he'd gotten used to them. And the room he was assigned was large enough that his belongings wouldn't have been in the way while he slept.
[C]
He never had visited the garden before, what he was starting to think of it as, his coma. It seemed relaxing though, or relaxing enough, and he could use that. When he found the tree and all the candles, it wasn't just the compulsion to do so that had him lighting a candle. It was clearly some kind of tradition, and something to be respected. And he would do just that.
The glass sculpture he found left him unsettled. He knew what he looked like: fuzz on his face and long unkempt hair. He needed to work on that a bit. But when he looked into it, for a moment he glimpse himself when he had first met Erik, another moment showed him when he'd been twelve. And another showed him an older, bald, man. That wasn't going to happen. He was quite fond of his hair, thank you very much.

Looking at the stars from the observation deck was nice. He hadn't studied it before, it didn't interest him like it did Hank, but he had to admit that it was fascinating. Mostly that they could travel space at all, that he was far into the future. That wasn't quite so odd considering Logan had traveled to the past but still, it was fascinating. And he hoped that coming to the bow meant he wouldn't be disturbed quite as much as he would elsewhere.

"What did freeing a murderer have to do with your sister?" Peter asked, acid still in his tone. Was he supposed to even know Charles had family? "You could have told me anyway. There was three of you. You didn't tell me about Erik, you didn't tell me about Logan. I guess you were never planning to."
He snorts, taps the MID on his wrist. "I could just tell her to seek out your's. She's, you know-" He taps at his temple. Psychic, is what he means.

"Raven believes in Erik more than she believes in me, she trusts him. It didn't seem important at the time to share everything. We were in such a hurry."
He only let his focus stick to Raven then, to the fact that someone was planning to weaponize her abilities, that they'd try to annihilate mutants in the future. That part didn't entirely motivate him, he cared about Raven.
"She's telepathic as well?"

He wants to believe he wouldn't have done it if he'd known. Even if Jean had assured him things would work out in the future, Peter still couldn't help but feel he'd played a hand in what had happened with the Sentinels. Those fears, in turn, had played into so many of the messes he'd created here.
"Telepathic and she can, like, fly. Telekinesis, I guess you'd call it? Her powers are cool." Charles might not need Peter to hype Jean up, even he wasn't mean enough to think the older man didn't appreciate for other's mutations. It was just that her powers reminded him so much of the Wanda here. Peter couldn't help but get a little excited, especially when Jean felt the need to be so hard on herself.

"We convinced you, that responsibility doesn't lie on your shoulders. I won't let it. We should have told you more, though, I am sorry for that."
Looking back now, having the chance and the time to look back on everything that happened, he could regret some things now. He could think of other ways to do things. They still would have needed Peter though, Charles' powers were the only ones otherwise that could have gotten Erik out. It required actually having his powers at the time though.
"That's absolutely amazing though, I'm not sure I've ever had a student with that kind of potential before." No, Charles could imagine what she was capable of just by Peter mentioning her powers. The things she'd be able to do were without limit.

"You should tell her that. She doesn't seem very impressed with herself or her powers." Peter's not sure if Jean had meant that conversation to be a private thing. He doesn't really care. She talked about Professor Xavier like the man hung the sun. Charles would stand a better shot of convincing her that her power was something to be grateful for than Peter had.

Peter wasn't wrong though. Telling her his thoughts on her mutation, actually meeting her, it might help. And maybe then Peter would take a couple steps towards forgiving him.
"I'll have to. Later."

He gives Charles a nod, hands going to his pockets. "Right. Well, you were doing something." He edges back, ready to make a run for the door.

"You don't have to go, Peter. I wasn't doing anything and I'm sure there's more you want to say."
no subject
"Um, dude. Probably nothing that wouldn't end in us arguing about stuff again." He stops, shrugs. "I'm still mad, you know? And there's been a lot that's happened here that makes it kind of hard to get over. I'll try not to be an ass anymore about it."
It's honest, at least. So much of his anger over Erik ties into his anger with Rinzler. He sighs, tries to move on.
"Have you been caught up, since waking up?"
no subject
"I don't blame you." He'd been young once too, after all. Most people wouldn't believe that though.
"I haven't, actually."
