"I feel liberated when I'm doing it, and I want other people to feel liberated through it."
☄ ENJOY YOUR STAY ... IN PRISON Those who choose to go to Del Pascia will find themselves greeted by D-E-L. It has already agreed to terms with the Captains, allowing crew to strip nonessential supplies that aren’t needed since the station’s crew and prisoners were relocated due to funding cuts. The only condition placed upon this agreement is that any crew wishing to explore must undergo a mandatory decontamination before proceeding through the rest of Del Pascia. This process takes only minutes and is guaranteed to cause no physical side effects. Following this simple procedure, exploration is open with only warnings to be careful about damaging key systems. It is important to note that there are various security cameras located throughout the correctional facility, and it is not uncommon for D-E-L to comment or show concern for those exploring parts of Del Pascia. ☄ DEATH BECOMES YOU There is salvage to be found in all parts of the facility, including the cell blocks and infirmaries of the prison wings. However, there is something odd about these sectors, a strange charge in the air that follows you as you search for anything useful to bring back to the Moira. Perhaps it is the eyes of D-E-L watching? But then, after an indiscernible amount of time, it's like a switch is flipped. Suddenly, you are wearing your sins where anyone but you can see. For however much death you have wrought or committed, there will be blood on your hands—perhaps even further than that. This bizarre occurrence will appear as an almost digital skin and will not vanish until outside the cell blocks. If exploring the infirmaries for supplies, any and all health stats throughout your life will be visible and easy to read by anyone who happens to take an interest. ☄ WHAT WAS THAT SOUND? Del Pascia is a very large station and has been abandoned for quite some time. D-E-L will regretfully inform anyone who asks that some nonessential areas have fallen into disrepair. It will warn that exploring these areas can be risky as it has no knowledge of what damage these sections have taken. Regardless of that, if you venture in, you’ll find that these sections are in rather bad shape. Exposed wiring sparks in the walls, a great variety of broken tools are thrown about, and it seems that every camera has been purposely broken. Venturing in further will yield valuable components for salvage, and yet... as before, you suspect you aren’t alone. It isn’t often, but sometimes, you might hear a step falling moments after yours or a rattle coming from the vents. Every time you go to investigate... whatever made the noise is gone. |

It's only when she catches sight of a girl with pink hair decorated with red ribbons that she finds herself stopping in the entrance. It should be simple to approach her. They'd been together not long ago, but just long enough for her to get tongue tied upon seeing her. It was something she hadn't thought on, something that shouldn't have ever happened again.
What does a person say after something like that? She wants to apologize, but it doesn't feel like enough. It feels like admitting defeat. Everything else, making excuses for her failures. She hadn't been able to save Sayaka in the end. She couldn't do anything for her. Nothing except vow to stay with her--and she had failed at even that. She hadn't even been able to try.
In the end, she settles on saying nothing. It's easier to skirt around the subject, kinder not to draw attention to what had happened. There's no words that will work. So she saunters up, pockets stuffed in her pockets, expression full of disinterest, and shrugs at the girl's statement,]
Hmm... Well, it's not the worst view I've ever had.
[She waves her hand a little, a stick of pocky held between her fingers. She bites down on it.]
But y'know, I can't say I was expecting to find you here.
no subject
And actually seeing the other magical girl with her own eyes almost makes her gasp again, though she just barely managed to hold it in.]
Ky... Kyoko-chan!
[The shock is obvious, of course, but there's relief there too. She didn't think she'd see anyone she knew here, but more than that... How else can she react at seeing someone who she watched die? She tries really hard not to think of the sight of Kyoko's lifeless body again... She's here and she's alive. That's the important part.
Madoka already has to blink back some tears, though she's not sure she can stop those even if she tries.]
I... [What is she supposed to say...? What can she say?] I didn't expect to see you either.
But... I'm really glad...
no subject
It might be loneliness. It might be failure, or perhaps understanding of what she was to do. It doesn't really matter. The days when she knew how to deal with tears and how to comfort are long since past, and now she can only shake her head.
After all, was she who Madoka would really want to see?]
Ah, don't get too excited.
[She raises her hand, waves it in a dismissive little gesture. No one important here. Just like always, it's nothing important enough to warrant a reaction.]
It looks like we're the only two here, y'know, unless the others are hiding under a rock somewhere.
[Her expression falls at the end, but only a little. If the others were to appear, then... She might not mind that kind of dream. But such a thing was surely impossible.]
no subject
[She's not sure why she's apologizing, it's just kind of... instinct. She wipes away her tears with her sleeve. It doesn't help all that much, but she's trying to pull herself together a little bit, at least.]
Hm. I haven't seen anyone else either...
I was with Homura-chan right before I got here, but... she didn't come with me.
no subject
Hah. Knowing that one, she'll just show up out of no where, y'know.
[That was the kind of person that Homura was. She still had something that she couldn't leave behind, something that she wanted to protect. She stretches out a bit before reaching into her pocket. Out comes a box of pocky. She takes one out for herself first before holding the box in Madoka's direction and tries not to think too hard about how far any of them might be willing to go in order to protect.]
Well, in the meantime, you'll just have to make due with me.
no subject
[That actually does put a smile on her face, even if it's just a small one.]
...Hm. And you with me, right?
[Nothing about this is expected, of course, but ending up with just Kyoko definitely isn't something she thought would happen. But it's still a huge relief. It makes her feel so much less alone than she did just a few minutes ago. She looks at the box of pocky and takes one out.]
So I guess we'll be sticking together.
no subject
[It's a relief to be able to talk to Madoka like this. It shouldn't be. The corners of her lips twitch into a slight smile to match.
It's a little less lonely, a little more guilty, but she's sure that Sayaka would want her best friend to be seen home safely too. It's all that she can do.]
Just don't stick too close. You don't want people thinking you're friends with a troublemaker like me, y'know.
[It's another joke, probably.]
no subject
[That's definitely a joke. Somehow, Madoka feels a lot lighter than she did before. That's probably the reason she feels comfortable enough to joke around at all.]
no subject
[Kyoko grins widely. Her tone is as teasing as it is affectionate. She might not have spent much time with the other girl, but it was more than enough to know what kind of person she is.]
no subject
[She protests, but she can't really think of a counterargument. Because... yeaaah, she really is.]
...Okay, maybe a little bit.
