"I feel liberated when I'm doing it, and I want other people to feel liberated through it."
☄ ENJOY YOUR STAY ... IN PRISON Those who choose to go to Del Pascia will find themselves greeted by D-E-L. It has already agreed to terms with the Captains, allowing crew to strip nonessential supplies that aren’t needed since the station’s crew and prisoners were relocated due to funding cuts. The only condition placed upon this agreement is that any crew wishing to explore must undergo a mandatory decontamination before proceeding through the rest of Del Pascia. This process takes only minutes and is guaranteed to cause no physical side effects. Following this simple procedure, exploration is open with only warnings to be careful about damaging key systems. It is important to note that there are various security cameras located throughout the correctional facility, and it is not uncommon for D-E-L to comment or show concern for those exploring parts of Del Pascia. ☄ DEATH BECOMES YOU There is salvage to be found in all parts of the facility, including the cell blocks and infirmaries of the prison wings. However, there is something odd about these sectors, a strange charge in the air that follows you as you search for anything useful to bring back to the Moira. Perhaps it is the eyes of D-E-L watching? But then, after an indiscernible amount of time, it's like a switch is flipped. Suddenly, you are wearing your sins where anyone but you can see. For however much death you have wrought or committed, there will be blood on your hands—perhaps even further than that. This bizarre occurrence will appear as an almost digital skin and will not vanish until outside the cell blocks. If exploring the infirmaries for supplies, any and all health stats throughout your life will be visible and easy to read by anyone who happens to take an interest. ☄ WHAT WAS THAT SOUND? Del Pascia is a very large station and has been abandoned for quite some time. D-E-L will regretfully inform anyone who asks that some nonessential areas have fallen into disrepair. It will warn that exploring these areas can be risky as it has no knowledge of what damage these sections have taken. Regardless of that, if you venture in, you’ll find that these sections are in rather bad shape. Exposed wiring sparks in the walls, a great variety of broken tools are thrown about, and it seems that every camera has been purposely broken. Venturing in further will yield valuable components for salvage, and yet... as before, you suspect you aren’t alone. It isn’t often, but sometimes, you might hear a step falling moments after yours or a rattle coming from the vents. Every time you go to investigate... whatever made the noise is gone. |

She hands the cup over carefully, a little smile on her face. "I've been making the lady taste it first, make sure there ain't nothing wrong. It's chocolate. Sweeter than juice and it's real hot. Figured you'd like it." It's closer to lukewarm after she'd walked all this way, but she still looks pleased with herself. She edges in closer, until their elbows are touching. Her instinct is to stay all over him; the past month had been lonely even with the presence of so many people on the ship. The physical reminder that he's here is grounding. She knows being here is already hard on him, but she feels more peaceful than she has in weeks.
"What are ya thinkin'?"
no subject
"Thinkin' how weird my toes feel." He wiggles them in the water and leans down to smell the drink. It smells amazing, like an old melted candy bar.
With a wicked glint in his eye, he looks at her and sticks his tongue out to dip it into the drink. He's entirely aware of his ridiculous he looks to anyone else who might notice them, but image is a small price to pay to get a good laugh out of her.
He pulls back quickly, eyes sliding back to the cup in his hands. "Okay, that's fuckin' good."
no subject
She giggles at his antics, oblivious to anyone else who could be watching. If anyone were to profess some problem with how he acted with her, the girl would have a problem with them. This was a direly needed return to normalcy.
"Right? If they'd had any of the muffins, I'd brought you some of those. Can ya believe they're givin' out shit like that for free?"
no subject
"Nothing's free, but I'm not against liberating what we can and skipping out on the check when that comes due." This time, he allows himself a real sip of the drink. "Don't think it's drugged, at least."
no subject
She's been careful with everything everyone's tried to give her. Their paranoia had rubbed off on her, for better or worse. Nothing was trustworthy, everyone had a motive. It was the only way she knew how to live.
"Some people have been talkin' about trying to take over. Steal the ship from the captains. Ain't skippin' out on the place, but it's something."
no subject
"Tell me about these people. You think they're shiny?" It won't do them any good to throw in with the wrong people, but if they're the right people, Kobra's got a laser beam with their name on it.

He'll try to get his hands on some paint or something. The least he can do is get his own stuff looking better and offer the same to others.

If they stuck around that long. She'd prefer getting out of dodge to sprucing up the ship and crew, if she was being honest. If she hadn't been forced to come back on, she would have stayed on Ceta.

He rests the cup on the cement next to his hip and lies back until he's staring up at the ceiling with his feet still in the water. "Who's like home? Might've met someone myself."
no subject
She doesn't join him in laying down yet, sitting up a little straighter now that she has the height advantage. "Says his name is Deacon and that he's from around home. But from the east coast. And he says out there, they're tellin' people how well its run out west. Tryin' to get people to come." She frowns. "I didn't even think there were people beyond the Zones."
She pokes at his stomach, eyebrows rising. "Who'd you meet?"
no subject
"Her name's Cas. Not from our home, but close enough. Not much food. Sounds like where she's from is like the Zones."
Deacon isn't someone he's met yet, but he'll go on Kobra's list of people to check up on. "Know if there's really people outside the Zones, they're takin' their sweet ass time telling any of us."
no subject
"Cas," she repeats, thinking that it sounds familiar. The dark haired girl who'd offered her a weapon had a similar name, but similar hardly meant same around here. "I'll keep an eye out for her. Kinda nice to meet someone like a lady runner."
She snorts, flops down beside him. The girl frowns up at the ceiling, watching the funny way the lights play off the water. "Why would they? Just give people something else to hope for."
no subject
"Just gotta tie it real tight to you so you can't lose it anywhere."
no subject
Even as upset as she’d been at home, she’d had that little piece of hope for them. The Witch let them go, change her mind. It didn’t seem possible for there to be a world without them for too long. She wasn’t ready to be alone. She wanted to believe in what she’d heard all her life, Killjoys didn’t die.
no subject
It's hard to express why it's so important to him, but he really needs to believe it, even if he really did watch his brother die. Somewhere out there, Party's looking for them. The others, too.
no subject
"Being all fashionably late. All of 'em. Dicks." She mutters the word, no heat in her voice. "Gonna have words when some of 'em finally show up."
