[When Robin found out of the possibility of going home, she immediately jumped at the chance. Bounty or no bounty, she'd infinitely prefer to be on a planet she's familiar with, with an infinite number of places to hide than trapped on a ship with a bunch of people she doesn't trust.
Especially not with the rampant murder-revenge-reprogramming issue that seems to be going on lately. No, Robin wants the hell off of that ship and everything to do with it.
Which is why she jumped at the opportunity to go back to her world. The world that wants her dead - the one she's still got business with.
She leaps into the portal first, as the strange woman instructed, with the barista presumably following close behind. The lights are bright and the air is warm around her. She has to close her eyes for a moment to keep from being blinded- and when she opens them, she isn't where she thought she'd be. For some reason, she'd expected to be in the same place and time she'd been taken from - the same island, the same night, the same bulletin board she had been tearing wanted posters down from.
But she isn't. She's on the island of Ohara once more - her homeland.
A warm island on a sunny summer day. It'd be a nice place to vacation if it weren't for the debris on the beach, or the fact that the everything on the island - tree, building or otherwise - is completely charred, burnt and leveled. Off the shore, the wrecks of six enormous battleships are clearly visible - five of which are smashed in a way that would imply they were lifted up and thrown.
The entire place smells of smoke and death. Robin covers her nose and mouth as she stands there in shock, standing in the rubble of everything she once knew. She stands there for a while - nearly a minute of wide-eyed horror, before the child manages to swallow her grief and turn to Allison.]
We- I know where we are. [She wipes her eye from a tear that was thinking about forming. No, she isn't doing this now. She's had plenty of time to cry already, and she doesn't want to do it again. Not now, not in front of Allison.]
We're gonna have to build a raft to get to the next island. Do you know how to do that?
[She says, wearing the bravest face she can muster.]
B. Beach Episode (OTA):
[Welcome to the beautiful land of Ohara - the famed island of scholars and archeaologists. Its beautiful, semi-tropical climate is makes it an excellent destination for business or for pleasure. Come enjoy the wide open skies above, and the beautiful view of the ocean that goes on endlessly in all directions!
And... Well, that's about it, really, as far as scenery goes. The main body of the island is entirely torched and blackened. The buildings and the trees have been leveled, and the landscape is heavily marred with craters from heavy gunfire. The beaches - while relatively unscorched - are littered with debris. And finally, just off the shore are the wrecks of six absolutely massive warships litter the waters. Stranger than that, though, five of the wrecks don't seem to have been sunken by ordinary means. Rather, they appear to have been picked up and thrown into each other .
Other than that, though, it's a perfect island getaway! Follow Robin through the portal and just relax~.
Robin herself will be cobbling together a raft of sorts from the debris that's washed up on shore, very pointedly ignoring the ruin landscape further inland. Occasionally she'll let out an annoyed grunt, as she isn't quite capable of pulling a piece of wood out of the water on her own - and doesn't seem able or willing to wade out into the surf to get it - but she never outright asks for help. ]
C. Elevator Episode (Open to anyone who can actually fit on the raft)
[It took her almost a dozen trips into the portal, but eventually it's finished: A raft.
It's a pretty decent-sized raft, too! Big enough to fit two people on it comfortably, and tied together tightly enough that it isn't at any risk of falling apart on its own - Robin's a smart kid, and she's seen this sort of thing done before. She's even brought one of her bedsheets in from the Moira to act as a proper sail for the thing.
That being said, it's still a raft. And as such, it comes with a few rules that need to be followed. Rules that Robin makes exceedingly clear upon after she's arrived with her fellow crew member.]
Don't move too much. It loosens the ropes, and it attracts Sea Kings. Don't jump in, or the boat will leave you behind and you'll drown. And don't drink the water, it'll make you sick.
[That's it, those are the rules. Robin will spend most of her time keeping an eye on the sails and on the seas - mostly keeping an eye out for any signs of trouble. She's willing to talk, though, if her partner is feeling chatty.
Other than that? Well, they'd better have brought something to keep them occupied. The ocean is a big thing, and they've got a long couple of hours ahead of them.]
B
[Kain's bad enough at just doing nothing and relaxing as it is when there isn't someone trying to work on something. He knows better than to either ask or comment, with the way she'd ordered him through the Ingress, but his only aversion to water is "deep enough for not being built for swimming" to be an issue; he'll just walk out into the water to lift the other side and bring it back, or start hauling other pieces of debris in.]
[He is going to be glancing out at the wrecks occasionally, somehow not...really put off by the odd nature of the wreckage.]
Think there'd be anything worth salvaging in those?
no subject
Weapons, maybe, if you want to bring that stuff back on the Moira. [A pause.] There's probably enough wood on the beach that I won't need anything, but if you find some more rope I could use it.
[Another pause, as she tries not to shiver. It's a summer night, but it is nighttime, and the mist of the water gives the air a distinct chill.]
...if you find some stuff to start a fire with, that would be good too.
no subject
[He doesn't need firestarting tools, just a little bit of moderation on fire magic to get it started.]
Easier to navigate with this started before I check, anyway.
[He's taking a minute to make sure it's solid and going to stay lit - and quietly keeping a last watch that there isn't something else that might be a threat he'd be turning his back on.]
no subject
His careful look around, however, doesn't go beyond her notice.]
There's no one else alive on the island. [She closes her eyes for a moment and points at the ship. Less than ten seconds later, she's opened them again.] No one on the ship, either.
The only thing you might worry about is the sea. Sea Kings never came too close to the island before, though, so you should be okay.

B
It was beautiful and kind of terrifying. She couldn't fault Robin for skirting away from the waves.]
Smells funny here.
[Like salt's in the air. It's so weird it almost makes her feel like sneezing.
She's standing a few feet from Robin, examining another piece of wood with a critical eye. She doesn't know why Robin's grabbing wood, she doesn't really want to ask. But she can help; it's better than wandering off alone.]
How big of pieces you needin'?
no subject
And that's not even taking into consideration how deep the oceans go. Staring at the ocean is enough to make anyone feel small.]
...it does. It smelled different, before this all happened.
[She says, nodding toward the shipwrecks, but not going into any more detail than that.
The smell of the sea is still there, of course, and that's no doubt what the Girl has noticed. But, from Robin's perspective, the scent's been tainted with the smell of the rest of the island being burned.]
...I'm building a raft, so I can travel to a different island. I need long, narrow pieces, to tie together.
no subject
You're going to travel on the water?
[She says it nervously, but reaches forward to start pulling drift wood toward Robin anyway. Going out on the water is frightening, some part of her would prefer if Robin didn't try. But she wasn't going to argue with her choices; she didn't have any right to.]

C
She doesn't like the possibility of drowning very much either.]
You sure you wanna trust this thing to carry you across the ocean?
no subject
It definitely isn't a proper ship, of cource, and any journey across the waters comes with inherent risks. But Robin's confident enough that it isn't going to fall apart of its own accord.]
I'm sure. I learned how to build rafts from an expert.
[That's not strictly true. Saul might not have really been an expert. But he did teach her a thing or two.]
Besides, it's either take the raft or swim. [She says, as she moves to push herself off from the shore.] ...and I don't know how to swim. Are you coming or not?
no subject
I dunno either. That's why I'm worried, y'know!
[She huffs, but settles for joining Robin on the raft regardless. It's better than being stuck by herself.]
Where're we supposed to be going, anyway?
[She thinks she remembers other islands being mentioned, but... That doesn't really tell her much.]

The motion of Robin wiping her eye finally draws her attention back to her small companion.
Forget rafts, she has more important questions, her voice soft as she asks.]
What is this place?
[She has suspicions - after all, the strange Ingress was supposed to take them home - and her stomach is already knotting at the thought.
She doesn't ask what happened here, because that she's already pretty certain of.]
no subject
She doesn't do a very good job, though. She looks precisely the way one expects a child her age to look when they're desperately trying not to cry.]
...we're on Ohara. This is the place I grew up.
[She can feel the tears welling up again, and she turns her face away from Allison to stop the woman from seeing - as if something as small as a turn of the head would possibly keep that a secret.]
I-I really didn't think we'd end up here. I'm sorry.
no subject
She swallows heavily, trying to think of something to say that encompasses how not okay this is. There's tears pricking her own eyes at the expression on Robin's face.]
Hey...
[Giving up on words for a moment, she drops to her knees in the sand and wraps an arm around Robin's shoulders.]

C!
Seth's managed to find a way to curl up and avoid taking up much space, her chin resting rather comfortably on her paws. At least rafting was a great excuse to soak up some sun. As comfortable as she may look her eyes don't ever leave the other girl. One ear twitches as she runs the rules over in her head.]
What makes you want to sail? Adventure? Finding something or someone?
no subject
But the alternative was staying on the ruins of Ohara - or worse, getting stuck on the Moira for the rest of her life without ever getting another chance to go home. Robin will take her chances out at sea.]
I'm an archaeologist, and the things I need to study are all over the world.
[A pause. She knows how difficult that journey sounds.]
I won't be taking this raft the whole way, of course. And you don't have to come if you don't want to.
no subject
I couldn't let someone so young wander around on their own forever. That's just rude.
[Or incredibly stupid of her had she refused to help. Either way.]
I'm glad to know that archaeology hasn't been lost to many other worlds. It seems interesting.
(no subject)
no subject
[This is better than the ocean her Earth has, anyway. Not since the planet went to crap. Wars and abuse tend to do that sort of thing.]
So are you plannin' to make a run for it 'cause it looks to me that you're a little low on supplies for the adventure. [She walks over to Robin, arms crossed, disguise off for the moment since there are no threats immediately visible.]
no subject
To be honest, it's strange to hear about all these worlds where everything is connected by land. Not bad, really - it's probably a lot safer - but certainly strange. Sea travel is such a vital part of existence here.]
I'll grab some rations from the ship before I actually set out. We're only here a few hours at a time, though, so I don't think we'll need too much food and water.
[She's thought this through, okay. If anything, repeated stops back on the Moira will make this journey a lot less likely to fail than any other journey across the sea.]
Anyway, the next island is less than a day away. I'll get a better boat and more supplies there.
no subject
Or would you be more willing to use the ship to get anywhere else.
[Though, she knows she's projecting a little. She wouldn't want to go home.]

The devastation and destruction was a more familiar sight (albeit Decepticons tended to leave very little before the Cyberforming process), but he doesn't comment. Seeings one's home destroyed was always painful, no matter what the species. It'd probably be best to focus on what they were here for.]
Where would you like to begin?
no subject
The things done, and the things he's had others do, are nothing short of horrific. And if he wanted to, Robin has little doubt that the cybertronian could crush her with little issue. But she's pretty sure he isn't going to do any of those things to her, though - there'd be no point to it, and killing a child like her would only make things more difficult on the ship right now.]
...I'm going to be building a raft for myself, but I have a different job for you.
[ Her expression is as brave as she can make it, but Robin hasn't forgotten for a moment how dangerous this bot is supposed to be. There's a bit of caution in her stance - facing him for now, but ready to make a run for it if she has to. ]
There were a lot of people on this island. You're going to be digging a big grave for them. [ A pause.] I heard about what you did on the network, so I figured you must have experience with jobs like this.
no subject
[For all that Tarn said about his brutality, it didn't appear Megatron was feeling all too proud about his association with death. Even if he was used to dealing with his reputation back home, even if he hadn't personally destroyed the island, he couldn't help but look a little deflated.]
[She was wrong. He had no experience with digging graves. Decepticons never went back for their dead. The bones of their battles lay strewn and bare as they moved on to the next planet to tear apart. But he wasn't sure he wanted to correct her on that.]
Is there a scoop or shovel on this island? We can affix it to my vehicle mode. It will make the digging far quicker.

What the...
[She trails off, just looking around. Seeing the way things are makes her wonder how they could have gotten to be the way they are. It’s an inevitable train of thought. Soon, though, her attention shifts to Robin. Dutch walks over a little closer to her eyeing the girl curiously, wondering what she might be up to.]
Need some assistance there?
[Her lips curl into a tiny smile. Of course, she doesn’t know what it is that Robin is doing, but once she figures it out she’s sure she’ll be able to help.]
no subject
He picks apart some of the larger pieces of wood and puts them next to her. See, he's being helpful!]
What even happened here? Where are all the people?
[He asks, blatantly missing all of Robin's obvious signs telling him not to look at it or ask questions. Tailgate has never been one to leave things alone.]
And those wooden boat things out in the water! What caused that? I bet it was something wild.
