[CLOSED]

Who: Ratchet and Peridot
What: CRIME. Trespassing. Property damage. Peridot and Ratchet are breaking into one of the infinite number of locked rooms on the ship.
Where: Starting at the Mero deck, ending with SPACE JAIL, with some troublemaking happening in a random room near the library in-between.
When: Ass o’clock in the morning on October 27th or. Y'know. whatever equivalent space date that is.
Warnings: None!

It’s the dead of night when she slips out of her room and comes to call. Fortunately, Peridot’s roommates are likely familiar with her habit of coming and going at weird hours of the night, by now; that’s the curse of sharing a cabin with an inorganic entity that doesn’t require sleep.

Sneaking in to her chosen partner-in-crime’s cabin, on the other hand…

Lucky that he resides on the same deck that she does. Surely, he will be so pleased to be invited to take part in this expedition of hers. With absolutely no prior warning. At 3AM.

She creeps into the cabin and up to his bed with surprising stealth, taking care not to wake his roommate (which, side note, she almost bungles horribly when she goes to the wrong bed at first, and almost attempts to rouse poor Tali by mistake. Noticed the lack of orange fur in the nick of time). One disembodied finger floats out to jab the sleeping Lombax hard on the cheek

“Ratchet… Ratchet," Peridot hisses at barely a whisper. Wake up, furball.

If Ratchet looks like he's frozen in disbelief....it's because he is. Complete, and utter disbelief. At what is happening. Right now, right here. What led to this? What led to this exact moment? Imagine the millions of tiny, insignificant and improbable things that all had to occur, at just the right time, in just the right order, for this exact thing to be happening, in this exact way, right now. All the decisions. All the mistakes.

Ignoring Peridot's panic completely, he picks up a piece of the glass, staring at it for a long time in silence. He looks around the room again, at the shattered statues, dropping the piece back to the floor.

"Uh yeah, we should definitely go."

And pretend this never happened. Never speak of it again.
