What: Directly after this. Peter really screwed up and now he's hanging out in the medbay until he recovers. Later he hangs out in the hold. Wanda's around to feild all your questions about how stupid her twin is.

Are there any species on board this is suitable for? It's hot as hell, but I'm pretty sure they're doing it for a reason.

That said, most people here do not hail from a mother planet like Palaven and I don't doubt that it's intentional. The fact that they would put you in here so soon after a serious injury is concerning.

[He sounds mildly interested. Honestly, any other time he'd be eating this up. Alien's are one of the last truly cool things about this ship and talking to an actual one about their biology is the kind of thing he wants to get excited about. But the circumstance makes it hard to react with much enthusiasm.]
But I'm fine. Clean bill of health and everything. No reason for them to keep me comfortable anymore.

[Getting a sunburn on Palaven wasn't very fun. It set the Geiger counters off if you tried going off-planet.
He frowns quietly at Peter's words.]
Comfort isn't the biggest issue, really. This hold doesn't meet even the most basic standards required for a multi-species crew in my universe. Additionally, you and Alice are clearly losing water at an accelerated rate, which is detrimental to your health beyond just the matter of comfort. Human containment cells should be kept at a temperature of approximately 24 degrees Celsius and this is clearly far above that.
[Unfortunately, the Captains didn't seem the sort to care about such things. Which isn't going to stop him from trying to ask about modifying the hold.]

Maybe it wasn't built to house humans.
[And he wasn't one anyway. Technically. Though he's pretty sure it's effecting him mostly the same and even if he's not letting the heat bother him outside of fueling his irritability, the mention of Alice does give him a reason to think about it. She's only in here because of him.]

I'm going to speak with one of the Captains about it.
[He doesn't sound too optimistic about the outcome, though.]
Until then, I think Vision is hunting down a portable air conditioner. We'll see how he fairs and build one if one can't be located. You'll probably be out before it's complete though.
[This was a good old headache in the making. Nihlus resists the urge to pinch the bridge of his nose, but he does exhale quietly before looking back up at Peter.]
... What have you heard about the situation? You weren't awake for the trials.

[Like he’d said, he can live with a little heat. It was only for a little while, in the grand scheme of things. He could be a little worried for Alice, but he’d seen a piece of her magic. He didn’t think she’d have any trouble she didn’t want.
He watches Nihlus evenly, face falling back into an unimpressed expression. He hadn’t been able to attend, that much was true but he’d heard plenty after.]
I heard enough. I know some people decided to pressure Alice into turning herself in for no good reason. I know the response was pretty pathetic. I’ve seen the trials here before, it’s always kind of a joke.

Nihlus doesn't point that out though and his expression doesn't change. Considering Peter's wording on the subject, he suspects that'll be the end of the conversation and he needs more information before that.]
What... started all of this anyways? I got the impression that you'd been having problems with Rinzler long before the space walk fight.

I don't know what started him hating me. You'd have to ask him. I don't really care anyway. People hate me, big deal. I can live with that. He made this happen when he crossed the line on the hull. He brought in people that he had no business making a threat against.

You knew there was a good chance Rinzler would come back and that the situation would be even more volatile. More dangerous. Why go through with the plan anyways?
