"Stabilize the bridge nodes!" the Cybertronian bellows beneath him. The threat of being ripped apart by the forces of Shockwave's Space Bridge had always been there, but now that it was happening, actually feeling the familiar waves of energy tear through his frame, there was the very real chance that he could die right then and there.
More than that, the distortion could very well rend apart the entire ship and warp it to the black hole the Bridge was connected to. He'll be damned if he ends up croaking because of some technical accident, and drag the rest of the Lost Light crewmates with him to boot.
Peridot is the engineer, she needs to figure something out!

Yeah she’s an engineer, not a robot doctor or a physicist. This… This is beyond her.
And is it just her imagination, or is something moving from within the depths of that distortion…?

The Cybertronian's massive frame tenses as a deep hum reverberates from his systems. His face is caught in that snarl as the distortion concentrates itself into a shrieking, glowing line. It sparks and twists violently before completely rending the spacetime in front of his chest armor. It begins to rip open, buffeting the ground with harsh gales of ice and snow.
With the edges of the portal growing wider, Peridot may be able to see a glimpse of the other side: pure white, glaciers, dark peaks, and a tumbling piece of debris that was headed right for them.
