That's just seeing the worst in people. There are sanctuaries that protect animals on Earth. And the people who do things like that don't try and lie to themselves unless they're seriously deranged.

Besides, at no point did I say there weren't. My point was merely that as repulsive as you might find this, and as lacklustre as I do- they're no better or worse than humanity, in many ways. Surprising, isn't it? No matter how far you go, people are people.
