J rubs absent mindedly his neck with her fingers. Thing what she probably likes in him the most is the way how casual and natural he's with physical contact and affection. Even when they first met he wasn't bothered at all by her leaning on him at the movie theatre, and then later during the same evening spontaneously danced with her. By now she had met lot of different kind of people on Moira and only few of them didn't seem to mind her touching them. And yes, seeing other people fluster and get confused by her social behaviour had its own entertaining charm but sometimes it was just nice to be held like this.
"But sounds like he was rather calm person. Nice and proper, too. Did you do anything else than go on these walks together?"

He wasn't an outdoorsy person, not even a little bit. Danny had tried it, had liked it, because of the company. It's how he knows to never say he didn't like something, because sometimes he was just doing it with the wrong person.
"I went because he asked me to. He was calm, reserved, and proper. He was all of those things and more, more than I was prepared for standing on that bridge the day we met."
Danny nuzzles in even closer, comfortable enough that he could almost sleep here like this.
"We did everything together, at least everything that we could. He had to work a lot."
no subject
"Sounds like a fated meeting," she laughs a lightly and pulls him closer, leading him to rest his head against her shoulder.
"What about you? Did you work at the same place as he?"
no subject
Or a spy, but he doesn't say that. Danny runs his fingers through her hair, twirling it gently around and around.
"I worked in a factory. Sorting packages for delivery."
He's not ashamed of what he used to do. Danny had needed to work and you didn't have to have skill to do that job. It'd suited him just fine.
"Writing, though, I wanted to be a writer."
no subject
"Writer? Now that's interesting. I used to live with a poet, you know. What do you write?" She asks, hoping to be able to steer the conversation towards more brighter topics.
