Dutch desperately tries to guide her floating to keep herself from going off into space. She knows it's impossible, but she does her best to avoid it, anyway.
"You've never been in space before, is what I mean. Before this."

Speaking of science fiction. They were from space at least, that totally counts a little, right?
Yeah, she didn't think so either.
Trish just sort of lets herself drift, sending out a prayer to no one in particular that the tether anchoring her to the Moira will in fact hold and not just snap or something.
Wow, there's a thought she really didn't need to be having right now.

As she drifts out into space, she begins to spin a little creating an uncomfortable sort of nausea. "Ugh. I never get sick on planes but of course I'd get woozy in space."
She starts to worry about getting sick and making a mess inside the spacesuit. It seems unlikely. Right now the sickness is just a vague, nauseous feeling in the pit of her stomach, but she's a ball of nerves worrying about it.

Okay, that's just... yeah, that's gonna take her a while to wrap her head around. Man, this parallel universes stuff is really, really weird.
Also, Trish can relate to the fear of throwing up in her helmet. That would be a really unpleasant little disaster to have to deal with.

Talking about home, even the unpleasantries of home, helps take the focus off of feeling sick. It even helps her feel a little less sick. As long as she isn't thinking of specific vampires she's fine.
"What were the aliens like?" She asks, genuinely curious.

She wants to be better at this, being a radio host she really kind of should be, but she doesn't know how to actually paint a good portrait of the alien invaders only using words.

"I don't know which of us has it worse, actually. Did the aliens stick around? How were you... Well, for lack of a better word, rescued?" If Trish's NYC was saved right away she supposes the city with vampires has it worse. It has an illness that'll linger and fester and possibly spread. If the aliens stuck around though, then maybe Trish had it worse. Then a little voice in Dutch's head speaks up and convinces her it's ridiculous to try and think of who has it worse. They both suffered and it's shitty of Dutch to compare injuries.
Now Dutch has an itch on her eyebrow that she wishes she could scratch. Of course she can't, thanks to the design of the suit. She supposes that's just a hardship she'll have to learn how to deal with now that she's a space traveler.

The aliens are gone, but the wound still festers. The city is still trying to recover from the destruction caused by the attack, and that tends to bring out not just the good in people, but the really ugly as well.
