The Great Team Meetup
Who: Team Voltron + Team Freelancer
When: Early November
Where: Observation
What: Local Team Dads get an idea and start to implement it with their assorted parties. First step? Meeting.
Warnings: Maybe language??? will add if needed
Observation just seems like the best place to go for a meeting of this size. As far as he knows, there's nothing formal in the works. But both Shiro and North agreed it would be best for their respective bands of intrepid soldiers (and Paladins) to at least know who each other were before getting their Security Detail on.
It's a large room. And when Shiro gets there -- armored up for the occasion -- he'll stand in the relative center of the room, ready to receive his team, or North's. Whoever enters in first.
Maybe he should have thought about raiding their dwindling coffee and tea supply. Or something. Maybe cubes of food.
Oh well. This isn't meant to be a party. Surely everyone else is going to be fine with the arrangement.
((ooc: basically just an open log for everyone to make some new CR and have shenanigans. Tag around, prose or brackets, plan, arm wrestle, idk just don't kill each other.))

On the other hand, Maine is taller than the other humans she's met, and not by a close margin -- if anything, it's closer to what she'd expect the height of a Galra to be. Which makes her question herself, if she's made some sort of mistake and this isn't a human at all.
But she doesn't let it distract her for long.
"Were you previously a freelancer? Or have you been made one by the present circumstances, like many of us here?"

Weird.
It's a little strange to be the one explaining it, but someone has to. There's a big difference between being a freelancer and being an Agent of the Project.
"Project Freelancer," he clarifies. "Special operations program."
no subject
On one hand, it could make it far easier to discuss the program without much worry if someone did overhear. On the other, it was a good setup for... well, a conversation like the one they just had.
"Well, that recontextualizes things, doesn't it? Forgive me, we weren't exactly given much information on your team. Shiro thought this would work better than a dossier, I suppose."
no subject
Of course, it could've been named "Chipmunk" and Maine still wouldn't care. It's the purpose that mattered to him. He didn't sign up for the name; he signed up for the mission.
He hums in agreement; they weren't given much information, either. He gestures to Shiro and says, "Paladin of Voltron." Then he adds, "Robot," and shrugs. That's about all he knows.
no subject
"But if it's the arm... well, that's the only robotic piece, which I believe technically makes him a cyborg. Although I'm not sure how he would feel about being called that. I've never tried."
This is going to be a lopsided conversation.
no subject
"Combining robots."
He doesn't know anything about lions.

"Did he mention that was what they looked like? I'd be surprised if he missed that detail. You might consider them our team motif — even back on Thisavrou, we called our team's shared domicile, and decorated it accordingly."
