The Great Team Meetup

Who: Team Voltron + Team Freelancer
When: Early November
Where: Observation
What: Local Team Dads get an idea and start to implement it with their assorted parties. First step? Meeting.

Observation just seems like the best place to go for a meeting of this size. As far as he knows, there's nothing formal in the works. But both Shiro and North agreed it would be best for their respective bands of intrepid soldiers (and Paladins) to at least know who each other were before getting their Security Detail on.

It's a large room. And when Shiro gets there -- armored up for the occasion -- he'll stand in the relative center of the room, ready to receive his team, or North's. Whoever enters in first.

Maybe he should have thought about raiding their dwindling coffee and tea supply. Or something. Maybe cubes of food.

Oh well. This isn't meant to be a party. Surely everyone else is going to be fine with the arrangement.

"I know. Weird, isn't it? There's us, and then... this group. I can't think of anyone else who knows each other like that."

Maybe he picked up on what Alfor was thinking. Or maybe it's been on his mind too. Either way, it does seem a little bizarre.

And then there's the rub. He can't help but grimace. "I'm not worried about most of them," he says, lowering his voice a fraction. "One of them... we didn't end up on great terms when we met. She made a threat, as a joke, she said. But... after what happened back on the planet, it went over badly."

     "It's quite a number by way of what seems like coincidence," Alfor replies, nodding. "It's a shame the Ingress isn't available to be studied..."

     The reaction from Shiro is obvious enough that the Altean king tilts his head at him inquiringly, waiting to hear what the Black Paladin has to say.

     "That's unfortunate. Is it possible to make amends?" It might make things a touch difficult otherwise, but he's not sure how bad the situation might have been.

"That's why we're here. Without an Ingress to officially monitor, we've got to keep an eye on what's suddenly appearing. Easier to do that with more of us."

He blows his hair out of his eyes, in thought. "I'd like to think so," he admits. "She did apologize. I'm honestly probably just being paranoid... but I'd rather give you guys the head's up than not."

     That makes much sense, and given their method of arrival to this place, Alfor can't fault that sort of concern nor question the intent. "Yes, of course," he agrees.

     "Well, I suppose we'll see, although it's good to know that she'd apologized. The rest we'll just work out as we go." He offers Shiro an encouraging smile.

"North says she's sincere -- so does Maine. I do trust them."

They both know the woman far better than he does, after all. He just wants his team to be aware. They're important. All of them.

He'd do anything for them. Alfor included.

"Just keep an eye out."

     Once again, Alfor nods. "Understood. I suppose that may as well go without saying. At least we can hope that everyone shares the same interests and can work together on that account, if there do turn out to be difficulties."
