[If being touched caught him by surprise, having her apologize for it was absolutely shocking. It takes him a moment to respond, then he gives a quick shake of his head.]

It's fine, I'm just... I'm not used to it.

[She nods faintly and gives him a one-shouldered casual shrug.] Neither am I, if you want the truth. I like it though, so I just keep doing it.

Let's keep going. [Elizabeth tilts her head again and continues down the stacks.] This area is mostly history books, or what I suppose are history books. Some of them I'm still not quite sure about.

[He can kind of see that. It's sort of nice, if alarming.

He watches the shelves as they go by, then looks up at her curiously.]

The last year I saw was Earth, 1959. [She says by way of explanation, smiling back at Ginko.] There's a lot I don't know. A lot I have to guess at because my experience is... a little limited. But with more assistants, comes more viewpoints. Maybe we can get some of the books I don't know anything about onto the shelves with your help!

Yes, that was the year. Though if you track time differently, don't worry about it-- it just means I'm from a time and place where the kind of technology the Moira uses is way, way in my future.

Ahh, so you and I are in a somewhat similar boat. [She smiles encouragingly.] Old fossils living the high-tech life on a space ship!

I guess... there is a lot of stuff here that we didn't have where I'm from. ...Neither of us is really old, though?
