[Scott turns around, sitting cross legged on the ground, scooping all the cats up into his lap.]
Huh. So they never get any bigger.
[He'd grown fond of small things recently, bugs mostly, but kittens fell into that fondness category by default.]
Did they come with the ship? Or did someone pick them up somewhere?

A lot of people would pay good money for a kitten that never grew any larger, since people seem to think that things are cuter when they're younger and more defenseless. Snake's never understood it. ]
From what I can understand, they, uhh... sprouted from a tree in the gardens. [ He lifts a hand and rubs at the side of his neck. ] Don't ask me how it works, because I have no idea.
[ Everyone reaches a point here on this ship where they just stop questioning things. Snake got there in the first week or so. ]

I.. uh, yeah, okay. That's cool.
[It's pretty difficult but he manages to keep from asking anything else. Questions could come later, after he's tucked the ants in and gotten some sleep.]
We can talk about all that tomorrow. It's getting late and I woke you up.

Getting back to sleep sounds like a decent idea, if he's honest, but there's one thing he needs to settle first.
Snake's gaze shifts back to the army of ants making their way through the door. ]
What are you gonna do about them? [ He nods over to them. ]

[He stands up then, holding the little kittens in his hands.]
If you take these, I'll tell the ants to stay by my bed.
[Ants do sleep, strangely enough, so he'd just get them to sleep when he does.]

And puts most of his energy into staring at Scott like he's got two heads. Maybe even three. ]
... Tell the ants?
[ He can't be serious. ]
